Shradow
Who do you guys consider to be the greatest video game character ever to you? Note that this may not necessarily be your favorite video game character as well, the two can be mutually exclusive. For me, I say Mister Torgue High-Five Flexington (that's "Mister Torgue" first name, "High-Five" middle name, "Flexington" last name) from the Borderlands series. If you're not familiar with him, here's an example of his character, from the intro video to his DLC from Borderlands 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tzc86ifgf-
Just Crouton
Orlandu from Final Fantasy Tactics. The best Cid ever.
Agro
It's Mario. He saved the industry. You're not allowed an argument.
Makο
I've always had a soft spot for Krunk from Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy6nA18cN2A

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
To be honest "greatest video game character" would change for me over time, because many games there will be one or two characters that I just really enjoy. So going to go with one that's been a favorite of mine for years. [attachment=42700:Lute.jpg] Lute from Fire Emblem Sacred Stones. SS was my first FE game, when I was about 12-14 or so and Lute was an early character, yet she's still my favorite of the series.
Shradow
Lute was such a boss mage, I agree.

Fusion X. Denver
I'd say Luigi, for me. I don't know if he's the greatest, but he's definitely a favorite. I just like his comic relief and overall appeal. Link, Mega Man, Sonic and all the rest are great too.
DL
Link, to me, is the best overall. He's not my favorite. But he's amazing. He represents everything that an adventure should be. Going out by yourself, learning about the world, meeting new people, growing stronger, exploring, maturing.
Maeriberii Haan
Live-a-Live's Oersted. I'd go into detail as of why, but it's spoileriffic. Just really love how well they execute his story.
DL
I'd also like to point out Mario didn't single-handedly save the industry, as LoZ helped too.
Agro
I'd also like to point out Mario didn't single-handedly save the industry, as LoZ helped too.Uhhh not really. Mario 1 sold 40 million units worldwide and came bundled with the system. Zelda 1 only had 6 million, which is a little over half of the lowest selling Mario game on the system. And he didn't say it was the biggest help, just that Mario didn't do it on his own. But yeah Mario is the biggest contributor.

DL
He was the major player by more than a long shot. I don't think you guys really understand how dead the industry was and how big an impact Super Mario Bros made. I definitely do, but as I said, he didn't do it alone. Sure I'd place him right below Link, but I feel as a character, Link is superior due to...well, everything his game represents.
