[spoiler='Plot']Japan. A peaceful country. Yet for this country, and soon for the whole world peaceful days will soon be gone. Stripped away by the coming ordeals. You see as many believe we are not alone in this universe, many supernatural beings exist in human world, living normal daily lives, and few humans will ever know or here of them. Soon, though the world of humans will be invaded by the demons of Hell, the angels of Heaven, and the gods of old. Caught in between the war of Order and Chaos will humanity be swept away. 

 

Perhaps, for given the power of these beings that is always a possibility that a species so powerless and insignificant as man could be wiped out.

 

Though man is gifted with a certain tenacity to survive, a will to fight back, and as a wise man once said "Where there's a will there's a way." This way will be granted to humanity in the form of an email. A widespread email sent all across the globe containing but one thing. A downloadable program named simply Summon.exe. Contained within this file is humanities small hope against annihilation. The Demon Summoning Program. Once downloaded the program will allow user to summon and contract the supernatural beings that have preceded us.

 

Yet perhaps it is not the only the demons humanity should worry about. As of late many doomsayers, and religious groups have sprung to surprising popularity chief among these are two cults known as the Messian Order, a Christian aid group who have been actively trying to recruit others to there cause, while helping the poor and the weak, and the Ring of Gaea, a cult that preaches of free will, though their true motives are unknown. These two powerful organizations will be at the forefront of the coming battle attempting to sway humanity to their views.

 

I wonder though. In this battle with so many players, and so many conflicting ideologies if anyone will really come out on top. Are any of these paths really what is best for humanity... oh perhaps I've said too much. Then again who is it for me to say I am merely a spectator.[/spoiler]

3. Please respect your other RPers. I'd like to make this an environment were everybody can enjoy, so if you have a disagreement work it out civilly. People being rude to each other will not be tolerated, and can get you kicked for the RP.

 

4. The battle system of the RP is largely based of that of traditional RPGs as such I shouldn't see people inflicting ailment upon ailment, likewise I shouldn't see people not be afflicted by them at all. Also, while this is an RPG I won't require you to keep track of your mana because that's tedious, but I shouldn't see people casting super powerful skills over and over.

  • 4b. Almighty skills as they cannot be resisted, and have a general higher power level that skills of the level despite doing the same thing have a higher cost that most spells. So keep that in mind when casting them
  • 4c. As this is an RPG you will have stats, so keep this in mind when were figuring out how much damage someone should be taking, or what skills you are using. (i.e. someone with 30 Strength should not be casting super powerful Hassohappas). While you can have skills that don't match your stat spread the damage dealt should be handled accordingly. 
  • 4d. Keep your skill set relative to your level as a demon tamer. (i.e. someone who downloaded the program last week should be using uber demons, but keep in mind the program will have been out for a while at the time of the RP starting, so characters will be at different power levels.)
  • 4e, Connecting to rule 4d since characters will be at different power levels, you should pick on somebody your own size.

5. There will be a maximum limit of 2 characters per RPer, though you can create NPCs up the wazoo for all I care, just don't flood the IC with them.

  • 5b. Please don't mess with the NPCs of other people without permission. They might just be canon fodder, but somebody might have plans for that canon fodder.[/spoiler]

I'll join, as I don't see an application form I'm wondering if its characters from the game or whether we create the characters.

It's really late, and I have to be up early in the morning, but to quickly answer your question we would create characters, but a few characters from the game would be showing up. I'll have the application sheet ready tomorrow after classes though.

So suddenly as of today I'm interested in joining this here RP. (I've only played Persona 3 but know enough about the actual mainline series to get the gist of what's going on)

 

Just have a question about the plot. How would this start or play out? I see the two groups will be trying to sway people to their views and such. I guess what I'm saying is I don't really see a conflict that would drive the story unless these two groups are going to get violent with each other which I could easily see happening.

 

Anyway, I'll start on an app at some point soon probably. Idk when I'll finish it but yeah definitely interested in joining this now.

 

EDIT: Looking at it a little more closely I see that the plot mentions there is a coming battle. Well look what happens when I pay attention while reading. So for now suppose this post only serves the point of noting my interest.

Actually, forget the original question here though I do have one to replace it.  I'm only aware of three Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael.  Who's the fourth one?

Alright, fair enough.  Though I'll be guessing that Samael is off limits as well.

So, I have a question, could we create a brand new demon to use?  Something not borne of mythology, but of our own imagination?

I'd prefer that you stick mythology, or heck even history, though I wouldn't say no if you created a demon of your own imagination.

 

Samael is perfectly viable though.

Kazuki is a genuinely caring and kind person. When he observes a chance to help another person he'll take it. He's easy to befriend and tries to be easy to trust. He tends to be calm and happy with a smile across his face. He hopes that this sense of happiness he has will spread to others so he smiles often when first meeting someone. He's generally very calm and collected and likes to think about various things.

 

He is also very driven and motivated. He has a firm belief in his "divine calling" as he calls it. (More info on that in the bio). He has a strong faith in God and is very religious yet not hypocritical. He strives to live up to what he feels is expected of him and enjoys opportunities to share his beliefs with those who take interest.

 

Kazuki is easily angered by those who hurt, abuse, or take advantage of others. In general, those who break the commandments he strives to live annoy him but he tries to be understanding of everyone's views, opinions, and beliefs. When he feels the need to fight he takes it very seriously but he tries to ensure those who cannot defend themselves will not be involved in any way.

Kazuki was born to two members of the Messian Order. As such he was taught the doctrines of the group from the time of his youth. Though he always did as his parents asked of him, for a long time he never felt like he actually knew anything they talked to him about was true. It all seemed nice and wonderful but the idea of ever knowing that for certain seemed out of reach.

 

That changed when he was sixteen. He's never explained the events of the day exactly. But he speaks of the day he received his "divine calling" from God. He began to believe it to be his mission to defend his faith and help others all the days of his life. Kazuki's thoughts and ideas about what this calling entail have changed as time has gone on. Eventually there came the email that included a download entitled Summon.Exe. Curious as to what it was Kazuki of course downloaded and ran the program. At this time he met and made a contract with Jeanne D'arc. He took this a sign from above that his calling now made him the sword of God on earth. He was to exact judgment on those deemed evil by his Lord. He's contracted with other demons since then as well.

 

Mostly these days he strives to help all those around him that he can. He seeks the poor and needy to help them and he seeks the prideful and wicked to bring justice to them. He eagerly awaits the eventual end of the earth as prophesied in the scriptures and seeks to do God's will in the meantime.

so as I said, I would llke to reserve the demon asura. Also, is it ok if I make a high-powered character? Like, REALLY high powered? Because, like, y'know, Asura.

Asura is reserved. 

 

If your only using Asura exclusively then yes since you'd be absolutely destroyed having only one demon (and one that is merging with you at that) to everybody else's 3.

 

Also I should mention you guys aren't limited to the 3 demons you summon to your team, you can have more if you like, the restriction is just that only 3 of them can be summoned at a time.
