JadenxAtemYAOI
So, because of how things are going at my university the better MTG players have completed leaving some casuals, some watchers, and the outliers. I'm not so much good at deckbuilding and this girl is trying to figure out how to upgrade her deck to make it usable. So this is what she has so far. Creatures: Kessig Recluse Nessian Asp-2 Borderland Ranger-3 Elvish Visionary-4 Drumhunter -2 Reclamation Sage-2 Elvish Mystic-4 Elvish Branchbender-2 Elvish Archdruid-2 Vulpine Goliath Nath's Elite Gladecover Scout Nylea's Disciple-2 Ezuri's Archers Nessian Game Warden Quirion Trailblazer Greenhilt Trainee Artifacts: Traveler's Amulet-4 Fleetfeather Sandels-3 Copper Myr-2 Opaline Unicorn-2 Burnished Hart Staff of the Wild Magus Wall of Tanglecord Riot Gear Sorcery: Lay of the Land-4 Phytoburst Slime Molding-2 Revive-3 Howl of the Night Pack-2 Gift of the Gargantuan Gelatinous Genesis Enchantment: Vastwood Zendikon Market Festival-2 Into the Wilds Urban Burgeoning Verdant Haven-2 Instant: Savage Surge-4 Mending Touch-3 Giant Growth-2 Extra Cards to Possibly Use: Seek the Horizon Gatecreeper Vine Magus of the Candelabra Colossal Heroics Karametra's Acolyte Humbler of Mortals Yeva's Forcemage-2 Swordwise Centaur-4 Saruli Gatekeepers Spire Tracer Maze Behemoth Nylea's Disciple Reclamation Sage Mold Shambler Grizzled Outcasts Sporemound Norwood Ranger-2 Centaur's Herald-2 Gladecover Scout Axebane Stag Land: 22 Forest I did the best I could in helping her but at this point she has too much stuff and it's ugh. She doesn't have many white cards and they're all unrelated to her deck plan. She wants a "Paladin" like Elf deck which focuses on being mid-to-late game winner with a good green mana engine, average offense, and healing. She's building this on a budget and she isn't exactly capable of buying my cards because of her financial situation so we're trying to make the best out of what she has. I would appreciate your help on this because quite frankly I'm just one of the watchers and I'm not much help. We're winging it at the moment. Poc
Well, obviously the first thing to do is to cut it down to 60 cards, the next thing to do is have more 4 or 3 ofs, singles only work if you have ways to tutor them up at will or you can rapidly cycle through your deck. Other than that, it looks like a generic green midrange deck. She has the Mana dorks all she needs is some fatties of choice and maybe some removal and shes set to go. .Rai
Since the collection of cards spans across formats, and it's casual, I assume there's no issues there regarding sticking to Standard or Modern or something. Quick 60-card list from the pile:4 Elvish Mystic4 Elvish Visionary4 Swordwise Centaur3 Borderland Ranger3 Nylea's Disciple2 Elvish Archdruid2 Nessian Asp1 Quirion Trailblazer1 Reclamation Sage1 Sporemound1 Nessian Game Warden1 Burnished Hart1 Nath's Elite2 Slime Molding2 Howl of the Night Pack2 Revive1 Gelatinous Genesis2 Verdant Haven1 Into the Wilds22 ForestI guess a lot of ramp into your X-spells. 2 Revive acts as extra copies of your X-spells.
