Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted October 4, 2014 Report Share Posted October 4, 2014 I made a status about designing MPBs earlier on in the week; mainly for usage in real life (given that I already had some pieces to start with; and some of their parts are relatively cheap now); given my college budget. However, I did design one for DN usage (with any of the monetary restrictions lifted). I'll provide both lists for comparative reasons. The idea behind both is a more Synchro-oriented build with Impalase and the other stuff to get out stuff quickly. [spoiler=Projected RL] This is what my RL one would look like. As the Decklist shows, I wanted to use more of a Synchro variant, given the Extra Deck options were much more affordable to deal with than with their standard Xyz parts into Dracossack and other things. (Granted, I probably will need 1-2 for it; let's see how things go with the other parts) On closer examination, Blathnir doesn't really do anything useful in this Deck; considering I don't usually make 9s in here. Cloudicastle is essentially reviving Jacruslans and that's it. Can't really say the same for Caingorgon and 80; latter has a good effect but don't think this Deck will have resources to summon him. Tempest is there mainly for a quick Level 7 drop.[/spoiler] The DN version is more or less the same, except with more of the power cards in here, now that money is no longer a concern. Psyhemuth should be Goyo Guardian or another good Level 6 Synchro; forgot to change that while designing the DN variant. This one contains Exciton/101 for usual things and 2 Dracossack. Not sure if Totem Bird should be in either variant; only options I have for summoning it are either using Hamstrat or Blue Impalase. Would like to get the kinks worked out before I order the Deck pieces online through my local dealership. (Most of the parts in here are about $0.75 or less each in most cases; ran a price check for the individual components; RL stuff comes under $20-21; I have some of the generic staples from other pre-constructed Decks + LE things.) I'm well aware of the fact that several things may need to be fixed before it can function properly. (I took a short look at that other member's thread on it, and Aix's comments on it while designing this one [including what definitely should be / shouldn't be there]) (Should note that the RL version is more/less used for friendly matches with acquaintances; I lack any form of locals in Hawaiʻi [at least within my area] so not using this for tournament.) Any form of CnC and fixes are welcomed and will be repped accordingly. [I know someone mentioned building Boxers for RL things; I am also considering that option at the moment as well. Bringerofcake Posted October 5, 2014 Report Share Posted October 5, 2014 If you plan to go synchro, or heck, run mechas at all, three olion is incredibly useful. Level 2 Tuner, generates tokens when you do anything with it, and getting discarded also helps set up for more explosive plays. Do a Barrel Roll is actually pretty weak since your tokens are always super valuable, especially when you have multiple. I'd suggest running another bts and another miyabi, which triggers olion and is in general a good card for the format. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As for the Barrel Roll stuff, yeah it's most likely not worth it to sacrifice all Tokens to negate an effect. For S/T negation, might as well run Dark Bribe or something along those lines for it or Divine Wrath in the case of monsters [I have 1-2 copies of them from reprints in structure/starters]. Can replace those two Barrel Rolls with another Miyabi [need to buy another copy, but it should be extremely cheap] and Breakthrough. Thanks for your help on it.
