~British Soul~
Yesterday's episode in a nutshell. Pretty much. Although I will say that the lack of cardfights and screentime for said fights is somewhat depressing, but at the same time I do like how they're focusing on the characters more. Just Crouton
Show should be called Cardless Vanguard G. They don't even bother calling the cards by name >_<
Sleepy
I heard they are doing that on purpose as to not spoiler the new sets coming in 2015 with Chronos cards and whatnot. At least according to YouTube people. I think it's a pretty stupid reason if that is the case. Yugioh TRIES to show off the cards beforehand so they generate some hype, or that when they decide to print previously anime-only cards people will be all like "OH LOOK IS THAT CARD THAT DUELIST USED LIKE A DECADE AGO!!!" I like looking at some of these characters, but 8 episodes in they should at least have had a demo of how the game works (it being technically a different series from the last one and all), even if they had to use not-so-new cards for it. I really only saw like the first 3 or so episodes, then I only watched 8 because of old character showing up, which is really the only thing that keeps me back, looking at future versions of characters running around or weird cameos liek Kamui's phone chat. They need to start bringing up the games. I don't want to call out crap on IRL play but I wanna see exaggerated postures and reactions, calling out attacks and cards' names from the top of their lungs, and explaining how stuff works. Maeriberii Haan
Personally, I believe they're just trying a new approach on things. Focusing more on characters, things like that. Then again, this makes them needs to rely on gags mostly to make things interesting without fights, So far, the gags worked, but it'll definitely stop working later. The more I see it, the more I see the Build Fighters influence going on here, but they're still missing what Build Fighter does best, which is fight scenes that the audience loves. While too much description would simply make fights boring, lack of description simply does not work in cardgame anime that actually showcases the game itself. You can't simply design a conventional fight scene due to the game's turn based system. Still, I appreciate their effort to make the characters familiar with the audience, but so far, the above problem is still huge, and the pacing of the characterization is horrid. I still believe that they'll try making things interesting soon or returning the old fights back. Either due to the plot, or due to fans' demand. Anyway...ranting aside, this episode's quite hilarious. Highlights including Chrono falling for Nagisa's fake story, THE BROTHERLY HOTBLOODED TRAGEDY, Kamui accidentally destroying Cray (thankfully he doesn't have PSY-Qualia), and general hilarity moment. Also, finally after several hundred episodes, someone get called as a sack. All this time people just said that the one that pulled the most trigger are just skilled or something. Just Crouton
So, the first series just got the GX treatment. On the official Facebook, it's been announced that they'll be skipping over dubbing season 4 (thank MACHISMO,) and will start releasing the G dub on January 4th on their YT. Hopefully, they'll release new episodes regularly like Buddyfight.

~British Soul~
Season 4 wasn't that great anyway so I'm not surprised they're skipping it in the dub.
werewolfjedi
it was a lot of interpersonal relationship resolution, but the reason it's there feels, a bit forced, and yes, saying mate so often, I can not see how they got through it on the native language side. to put it shortly. season 4 was pervy. ~British Soul~
I watched the first 3 episodes of Cardfight Vanguard G in english (Yeah, they already started), Ibuki's voice wasn't that bad to be honest and Shin, Misaki and Kamui retained their voices. They also made Misaki somewhat harsher towards Kamui in episode 2. In the original she said "I'll just take it out of your wages", in the dub she said "That's fine I'll just replace you". The other thing I noticed when I watched episode 1 (Which has been fixed though) was that the colours were oversaturated.
