Just Crouton
My guess is Kai and co. stay with Aichi regardless of who wins. Or Ibuki does something to them. Or, Kaichi rode off into the sunset to start a new life together, no homo, very mate.

Just Crouton
Still can't get over Chrono's hair. The pink area aside, it looks way better than Aichi's.

~British Soul~
Is it just me, or Kamui is now a friendly-looking Chazz? I also got a Chazz-like vibe from Kamui's new design. At least we have a main character using NN.
Wizarus
I like that older Misaki alot. The show was desperate for something new, I guess this is it. Can someone please play OTT again :(
~British Soul~
Can someone please play OTT again :( OTT are going to get support in the next set, and it's very likely Misaki will go back to playing the clan. But of course, we most likely won't see Stride used until episode 2 of the season, to follow the trend.
Just Crouton
First episode was pretty good.
-The visuals are really great. The more vibrant colors are great, too. -That new Cardfight table is like the Duelist Kingdom Arenas. -That GX moment at the end. -Stride was given a lot more majesty than Legion. -Those Overlay Units around the Stride in the opening scene.

-They don't explain anything about the game in the tutorial fight. -How does Chrono know to start with a Grade 0 when Kamui didn't mention it? Unless I missed it. -Adding to the first complaint, Kamui takes 3 damage on the final turn, and they never show Chrono triple Crit. -Kamui's boss should've been Gundam Maxter...or the Red Battlezord. -The new ride/call animation is a tad slow. -I get the feeling that Stride footage for whatever that Unit was will be recycled everytime. -Chrono Jet gets the Blaster Blade treatment by having bad art compared to the other members of its clan shown so far. Though, this is more on the card game, and not the anime.
Maeriberii Haan
holy f*** the animation is godly. Also, I think the lack of exposition will get fixed later on when we get actual fights. Tutorial fights are boring anyway, and Bushi needs a way to hype CFV-G the f*** up after the disaster that is Season 4 and its cardboard cutouts. ~British Soul~
So, got around to watching the episode, and the animation was pretty good
- The first fight was a mess imo (Attacking and guarding everywhere). - Didn't really feel like a tutorial fight as it didn't explain anything about the game, but I think Bushi realised that doing that at the start of every new season was getting stale. - The new arenas reminded me of Duelist Kingdom. - Not at all surprised that they didn't reveal any of the new units' skills tbh. - Although when a new unit was ridden/called, none of their stats were shown. - Dat Aichi cameo at the end. - Perfect Raizer hype next week? Maeriberii Haan
So, today's episode focused on worldbuilding and characters, again. Which is actually quite a good direction, tbh. Also, I think the only the proper fights will have details of the cardgame itself, which is nice since that could make filler fights shorter and flows better. Just Crouton
This made my day. Also shows that Aichi and Kai haven't "disappeared."
Maeriberii Haan
Last episode have an Aichi cameo, don't forget. Also, poor kamui only have 6 mates. I bet Emi is not in that group
Just Crouton
I'm a little disturbed that they haven't focused on the new cards so far. It seems like G is more about story than selling cards... Though, I wouldn't mind getting a Duel Table.

It seems like G is more about story than selling cards... Though, I wouldn't mind getting a Duel Table. Which is actually a nice change of pace, in my opinion. Hopefully this way, we can get properly characterized characters and side characters. Then again, I expect when then tourney arc kicks in, they'll do full fights again. ~British Soul~
- Kamui only having 6 friends on his phone, top kek - The quests reminded me of the quests done in Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. (It seriously was the first thing that sprung to mind) - I knew when Shin said "The owner is owner there" he was referring to Misaki, but I jokingly thought that the cat was in charge at that moment. - I found the crow's caw straight after Chrono's statement about that Tsueno guy not having dragons a tad hilarious, even though they must've done it on purpose. - It's nice that that they're prioritising story over the filler fights, it makes a nice change imo. - Dat Misaki appearance at the end, scolding Kamui for going off with Chrono.
Also, poor kamui only have 6 mates. I bet Emi is not in that group I agree, I think his mates on his phone are: Miwa, Aichi, Kai, Misaki, Reiji and Eiji. Premier Alexander Romanov
These character designs are officially some of the stupidest character designs I have ever seen in an anime.
Maeriberii Haan
Chrono's Magatama hair IS stupid. The rest...they're normal-ish. Kamui's hair didn't really change.
Just Crouton
Even worse than Zexal? Nothing will ever top Morikawa's design, especially that Heihachi hair, except for Heihachi, because he has that hair. Speaking of Morikawa, he had a cameo in the first episode, and if he doesn't get an episode, I will cut the writers out of the world of man. After all, my Morikawa tumblr won't survive without new quotes.
~British Soul~
I liked this bit: When Kamui tried to leave to help Chrono on a quest, Shin appeared out of nowhere and was all "Not this time Kamui".
