Yemachu
It's time to Duel!
Most of you probably know the game "Duel Monsters"; if you don't, you might know it under a different name: "Yu-Gi-Oh!". If that does not ring a bell either, I wonder what you are doing on this forum; since it is dedicated to that game (to some degree). In any case, lets try to have a duel inspired by episode 111, 112 and 113 of the original series. In these episodes Yugi and Joey duel fight alongside each other against "The Big Five".Though I don't want to spoil too much about what happens in these episodes (which are over 10 years old), the antagonists dueled in quite a peculiar fashion. As the name "The Big Five" implies, there were 5 opponents for Yugi and Joey to take on. You might think that is not a fair match-up, 5 against 2, but the were actually the minority; only 1 of them was dueling at a time. Ever so often, they alternated, taking on a different dueling style altogether. And we as community will do something similar: decide the actions of 2 (imaginary) duelists.

It is a somewhat normal duel: both duelists start with 8000 LP and start with a hand of 5 cards. Also either duelist can only Normal/Pendulum Summon once per turn. Futhermore either duelist has a default field (5 Monster Card Zones, 5 Spell & Trap Card Zones, 2 Pendulum Zones and a Field Card Zone). But that is as far as 'normal' goes. Every player (which refers to whoever is reading this) can choose 1 of the following actions which either the turn-duelsist should do, or their opponent (if applicable).Turn duelist:Normal Summon/Set a monster;Pendulum Summon a monster(s);Special Summon from the Extra Deck;Activate a(n ignition) monster effect;Activate a Spell Card (or Trap card that has been set prior to this turn);Set a Spell/Trap Card;Turn Duelist's opponent:Activate a set Quick-Play Spell Cards or a Trap Card;Activate a monster effect ("Effect Veiler" for example); If you performed one of the turn duelist's actions, you can also move the turn phase forward or end the turn (if the rules of a normal duel would allow it). Since the used Decks are not focused in any way, you are allowed to choose what card you play; but you are limited to what is public knowledge (if "Respect Play" is active, you cannot activate "Monster Reborn" if another player did not declare you holding that card). Each time a duelist loses, a new duel starts. At the start of the first turn, the player at that time decides the thickness of the Deck. The banlist for this game only includes "Exodia the Forbidden One", any other official card can be run in up to 3 copies.

This might not be entirely up-to-date, but it should give you an impression of which cards a certain duelist runs.Current turn player: Duelist 1. You are also free to suggest changes, but don't expect many to take place (names for the imaginary duelists would be nice though). One last message: All hail the "Helix Fossil"!

Duelist 1 starts with a Deck of 42 cards. Both players draw 5 cards.First turn of duel: Skip draw phase.
