Maeriberii Haan
Basically, this is kinda turning into a habit of mine. Doing theory-oh about new decks that somewhat interests me, and then proxy testing them before they're on DN or something. Buut anyway, Hermit Youkai. -=Monsters(17)=- 3x Hermit Youkai Kamaitachi (Searchable problem solver, creates field presence, etc) 3x Hermit Youkai Kamanitachi (Easiest way to trigger Kamamitachi's search effect, creates combo) 3x Hermit Youkai Kamamitachi (Gives the entire field a hard OPT Bear effect, and is a Tensu to boot) 3x Hermit Youkai Sarenjinchuu (Creates lock, is a pendulum monster) 3x Hermit Youkai Urenjinchuu (Same as above) 2x Malevolent Hermit Youkai Daibakaze (Boss of the deck, and could be used as a Pendulum Scale when necessary) -=Spells(13)=- 3x Youkai Shrine of Trials (Yes, it's not confirmed yet, but testing it with Gateway of the Six's numbers, and +200 for the ATK boost. Pretty much the card that makes the deck. Can tutor or recycle Secret Technique to your hand, or everything, really.) OR 3x Upstart Goblin (Self-explanatory) 3x Fire Formation - Tenki (Beast-Warrior RotA, can be recycled by Daibakaze) 1x Divine Wind of the Mist Valley (Tutors most of the deck during the End Phase) 3x Mystical Space Typhoon (This deck really hates Skill Drain, and some floodgate cards. Also generally a great card post-NECH/Tribe Force, probably) 3x Pot of Duality (Deck doesn't really special summon much when it's not necessary. Added consistency is welcome) -=Traps(10)=- 3x Fiendish Chain (Can be recycled easily by Daibakaze, and can stop attacks when you're vulnerable due to lack of field presence) 1x Bottomless Trap Hole 1x Torrential Tribute 1x Compulsory Evacuation Device 1x Solemn Warning 3x Secret Technique of the Hermit Youkai (Infernity Barrier, basically. Why not max it out?) -=Extra Deck(15)=- 2x Lightning Chidori (Not to be spammed. While this is a powerful card, it pretty much turn Secret Technique off, so use with care. Same case as most Xyzs here, really.) 1x Evilswarm Exciton Knight 1x Castel the Avian Skyblaster 1x Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon 1x Number 101: Ark Knight 1x Abyss Dweller 1x Gagaga Cowboy 2x Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King 1x Number 82: Heartland Draco 1x Daigusto Emeral 1x Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk 1x Number 103: Ragna Zero 1x Cairngorgon the Antiluminescent Knight Extra deck is pretty much only filled with answer cards and not to be spammed. Still unsure about Yamamisaki (since Kamaitachi and Daibakaze already handles spot removal), Magatsusenran (Good, but seems kinda awkward), and Monarch Storm Forth (would be in if a good amount of the two above is in the deck). Might consider Vanity's Emptiness on the nonexistent Side Deck or even main since aside from Kamaitachi and Pendulum summoning, this deck won't be hurt -that- much. Any tips or did I do something wrong?
Althemia
From my testing, here's what I've come to the conclusion of:- Red Pendulum is pretty winmoar although you do need it to create Daiblaze combos. I played 2 of it instead of 3 because of how easily tutorable it is.- The direct attacker is pretty meh and is really only ever used for Normal Summoning Magatsu. I played 1, though I think 2 could also work. Definitely not a 3-of.- Fire Formation Tensu is a godly card in this deck due to enabling lots of combos with bouncing your Beast-Warriors to reuse their effects to build big boards. If you do this, you also need to play Bear due to it being more problem removal and searching out your Tensu cobos- Monarch Stormforth <3333333333333
Maeriberii Haan
Alright, going with Koko's suggestion, I'm going to test -3 duality -1 torrential -2 kamanitachi -1 urenjinchu -1 MST -1 Fiendish for +3 Magatsu +1 Yamamisaki +1 FF Bear +3 Storm Forth and +1 Tensu Also, if someone could suggest a good proxy list for DN, that'd be awesome. Darj
I have not tested the it either, but just from looking at the archetype I agree with Koko in that Bear and Tensu should fit well in the deck. I have no experience with Stormforth but running 3 when the deck only has 4 Tribute Summon-able targets... wouldn't that be somewhat inconsistent? Granted, they can be searched by the Field Spell and can bounce themselves, so I guess that dead Stormforths are unlikely. Suggested proxy list: Magatsunseran -> Monstrous Bird (same ATK and Attribute, Normal Monster to avoid confusion) Yamamisaki -> Swift Birdman Joe (same ATK and Attribute) Kamaitachi -> Blue-Winged Crown (same ATK and Attribute, Normal Monster to avoid confusion) Kamanitachi -> Nin-Ken Dog (same ATK, Type and Attribute, Normal Monster to avoid confusion) Kamamitachi -> Flying Kamakiri #2 (same ATK,DEF and Attribute, Normal Monster to avoid confusion) Sarenjinchuu -> Performapal Turn Toad? (same ATK and scale) Urenjinchuu -> Performapal Silver Claw/Rescue Rat (same Level and scale) Daibakaze -> DDD Hell Armageddon (same ATK, there are not other Pendulum Monsters with higher Levels to pick from) The rest should be obvious: Shrine -> Gateway Secret Technique -> Infernity Barrier
