Tentacruel
So I finally watched the ending and it surpassed all of my expectations. I just couldn't fathom it being that bad. Discuss.
Shradow
So I finally watched the ending and it surpassed all of my expectations. Don't-- I just couldn't fathom it being that bad. ... Good. Show, great. Ending, not.
Catman25
I loved the ending. The shitty leadup to it not some much (talking about the whole last season), but overall I think it was quite a way to end the series.
Tentacruel
I hated pretty much everything about it tbh. Piss poor writing in my opinion.
Alice Moonflowyr
Yep. And even the show itself fell off after the whole Stella debacle. They dragged the show on too damn long. I mean for Pete's sake, the show is called 'How I Met Your Mother' not 'How I Dicked Around With Robin For Nine Seasons'.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Yep. And even the show itself fell off after the whole Stella debacle. They dragged the show on too damn long. I mean for Pete's sake, the show is called 'How I Met Your Mother' not 'How I Dicked Around With Robin For Nine Seasons'. Assuming that a program will consist of nothing but the title is silly. I mean, in LOST, they don't really stay lost for very long and yet that show was very good. A friend of mine put it very well: it is not that it was a bad ending, it was simply the ending nobody wanted.
Alice Moonflowyr
When the title embodies the basic premise of the story which is shoved down our throat for the first two seasons, then yes, I'm going to have that expectation.
Fusion X. Denver
See, I didn't mind the ending. It made me sad, but it didn't piss me off like it did everyone else. I think Giga's friend put it well.
Ted ending up with Robin did make sense to me. People have always joked about how Ted got so distracted in his story with irrelevant stuff towards meeting his kids' mother, but him talking about how he and Robin grew up together within those 9? years really did show me in the long run that it would always circle back to Ted and Robin at some point. And being able to connect the dots with meeting Tracy along the way showed she was an important factor in how his destiny played out and I didn't feel her significance was undermined by her passing.
Anyway, that's my unpopular puffin of the day.
