Alien stuff

You can discard this card; add 1 "The "A" Zone" card from your Deck to your hand. When this card is Summoned: You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; place 1 "A-Counter" on that target. (If a monster with an "A-Counter" battles an "Alien" monster, it loses 300 ATK and DEF for each "A-Counter" during damage calculation only.)

I designed this to be akin to the other Terraforming-like monsters that search only one Field Spell, where combined with the Field Spell that monster will have 2100 ATK (or the monster already has 2100 ATK and needs the Field Spell to survive). However, since it has an additional effect, it can actually reach up to 2400 ATK under Otherworld. But forget Otherworld, that card sucks. Instead, there's a new Field Spell that I made that hopefully isn't stupid. It's a nice turn 1 play that searches this new Field Spell, generates an A-Counter upon Summon, and can basically fuel Gol'gar by itself for a short while.

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by removing 1 "A-Counter" from anywhere on the field. Once per turn: You can remove 1 "A-Counter" from anywhere on the field, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; negate that target's effects until the end of the turn. (If a monster with an "A-Counter" battles an "Alien" monster, it loses 300 ATK and DEF for each "A-Counter" during damage calculation only.)

I'm not very confident in the free Special Summon, but it felt like the card was too much like the old Level 4 Aliens that are meh without an additional effect. It's created in order to be BTS's second effect in order to get around obstacles such as Shaddoll Winda, which is particularly useful since Aliens would rather run Fiendish than BTS for the sake of abuse & reuse.

Once, during either player's turn, while this card is on the field: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place 1 "A-Counter" on that card. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster on the field with 2 or more "A-Counters"; banish that card.

Just for clarification, the first effect only works one time while the card is on the field, and as such the card is incapable of fueling its own banish effect even once, much less one every turn. Though it does give a free counter if you bounce it with Gol'gar... Since every form of removal Aliens have access to, barring #101 and Castel, is destruction removal, I decided to go with the idea that the saucers in the art have been abducting creatures from the planet (hence the banishing). A banish per turn (or multiple if you abuse the card) is probably a little too over the top, but I'm not really sure.

Place 1 "A-Counter" on all monsters your opponent controls. During your turn, except for the turn that this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place 1 "A-Counter" on that card.

I'm not really confident that this would be a good card because Planet Pollutant Virus exists. But, PPV doesn't smack counters on monsters already on the field (though they'll likely die) and requires a Tribute to work, which can be very costly in a Deck that can not often generate some random extra monster for the sake of Trap Raigeki + free counters. Oh, and then there's the BTS-like second effect, whose quickplay status is probably unnecessary. It's supposed to help you generate the extra counters for those extra effects you could use but don't in favor of Gol'gar smashing stuff to pieces. Also, protip: Putting counters on the opponent's monsters during their turn means you can Trap Snatch Steal with Brainwashing Beam, or Mysterious Triangle if you don't mind your monster dying.

I'm heaps better at seeing problems with other peoples' cards than my own, obvs. I'm mostly trying to make sure I can support Aliens adequately without doing stupid things. I'd like a secondary boss so that the Deck doesn't act linearly and go into Gol'gar or a Rank 4 to solve 99% of their problems, but Gol'gar is just so stupidly good.

Curser
Discarding himself to add literally one of the crappiest field spells known to Yugioh (even Forest or Mountain is better!  That's saying something).  I have no idea why you're bothering with that horrid card.  I do like the counter placed when Summoned.  Glad you made it when just summoned.  So Alien Ammonite can trigger it, that's good.

Mastermind

The effect to SS is good.  Aliens need this kind of explosiveness.  The effect to negate is weak as sh!t.  Ignition and negates till the end phase of this turn.  Either make it quick effect OR negate until end of opponent's next turn,  IMO.

Newworld

I think it should remove 2 counters from anywhere, so that you don't have to work so hard to perfectly place the counters.  But w/e that's just me, me and you are very different on what we consider too good.

Biotoxin Strike

I like it.  This is the kind of alien counter splash aliens need.  Maybe *looks both ways in case someone else hears me* just maybe, people could actually use Aliens the way they were designed with this, The new Field Spell, and Curser instead of riding Gol'Gar to victory and abusing Gol'Gar (by abuse I mean unconventional, unorthodox overuse) to victory.

I think this is good stuff.  MasterMind's SS effect is great.  Curser's placeing is great (and Field Spell Search is great since you gave them a non-ass field spell).  Field Spell is great and usable.  Biotoxin solves one of Alien's Achillees Heel, great job.

So I finally decided to reply.

Being able to search for Otherworld is more or less of a "because I can" kind of thing. Plus, I gave it a second target in Newworld, so it becomes more relevant.

I'm not really a fan of making it a quick-play since then it's Breakthrough Skill (which is a pretty powerful card). Lasting until the end of the opponent's turn would work better, but then you get to turn some monster you couldn't kill into a plain vanilla for the turn. This might be ok, but I kinda made it just to get around monster-based disruption like Abyssgaios or even Shaddoll Winda. I'll consider upgrading it a little.

Newworld

Doing that makes Newworld's removal effect completely superior to Gol'gar's effect. Newworld is a Field Spell that can be played without any effort whatsoever (Gol'gar doesn't necessarily require much effort since Ammonite is a NS-ED-monster card, but still), and can even be recycled and fueled by Gol'gar to take out more cards than Gol'gar would on its own. Not to mention banishing is a LOT more powerful than destruction. So, I don't think I should do that without a really good reason.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed that in Konami's sudden desire to support a lot of various archetypes, they didn't bother helping Aliens out. A-Counters are a pretty fun concept, even if the current Alien cards are either secretly crazy good *looks at Mysterious Triangle* or crazy bad.
