X-Over Academy [Sign Ups/Interest Check]

This is basically a reboot of my old X-Over Academy RP. I'll be changing quite a few things. It's a work in progress for now.
In the alternate fantasy world of Noirhei, many races live together - or rather, apart, in constant war.

This was why the school <X-Over Academy>, aboard the floating city ship <Rift Utopia>, was built.
X-Over Academy is run by the mysterious entity <Stilton>. Stilton gathers victims of this war with magic potential, be it prisoners, exiles or slaves, and offers them a chance to study at the new X-Over Academy.

If they decline, they would return to where they were.

If they accept and graduate, they would have a choice to live in a new world. Literally.

The first test at X-Over Academy is the summoned servants test, where they would summon a familiar from one of the many worlds to aid them.

X-Over Academy - the main setting, and the namesake school.
Rift Utopia - a floating airship city. From time to time, it would enter another world, only to return back to its own after a year.
Familiar - in this case, your familiar comes from a different realm altogether. I suggest you choose a character from a previous YCM RP or an already-existing series
I am still working on other things, like battle concepts, race-exclusive abilities and such. Feel free to chip in some suggestions

Yes. Kinda like the Grand Crossover RP, without as much . . . loftiness. Plus, a similarity to Zero no Tsukaima, which is nearly always a plus.

With something as inclusive as a mass crossover, you need to have a guideline in the shape of an established hub world. We need lore, backstory, et cetera.

Also, with a Summoning mechanic, you need to make our initiates . . . squishy, so their powerful familiars can smash whilst they "shoot". I recommend that most of your races be relatively weak physically, relying on the physical might of their familiar in a fight.

For the sake of RP I'm gonna have to drop the Chaika speech.

So we control two characters: our OCs as the main characters, with our familiars being already established characters from other series? Sounds cool. I'm interested, but will wait to fully invest myself until we have more info such as the types of races and a more detailed plot/lore.

Also, I'm assuming it's pronounced "Crossover Academy"?

Yes it is.

Well, I'm taking note of all interest. It seems that I should conjure some more concepts soon.

By the way, if your character is based off your MMO player character, you don't need to post evidence of said character existing. However, you should, naturally, include which MMO said character is from and which class, and if possible, race too.

And yes, Hollow, masters in the previous one can be used. But depending on how much I'll modify this, they may not start with magic knowledge.

May I ask what you mean by this? I'm not sure to which MMO you're referring, and what about that last part about evidence of existence?

More than likely it doesn't apply to me, but I'd like clarification just in case.

Any MMO actually. By that part, I was initially going to ask for a screenshot of your character. But then I realised that MMO classes are pretty linear.

Ooooh, you're remaking this? Interesting~ I may just consider rejoining, though I'll have to think about whether or not I'll be reusing my old characters.

Oh, and,

Kinda like the Grand Crossover RP, without as much . . . loftiness

Sorreh ;.;

I have stated multiple times that you don't really need to know about the prior arcs, but I can understand if the length tends to appear a little...long and intimidating, especially when there's a bunch of others around who've been in it for way longer. I guess this is why you've been avoiding it for a while, and for that, I sincerely apologize ^^;

So, is this still happening?

No one's posted in it for about a week . . .

(Oh, and Merciful, it's just that everyone updates in the form of MASSIVE WALLS of text, and reading through all that, plus the depth of story you have going on . . . it kinda reminds me of another RP I used to participate in- if you miss something, you're screwed, and heavens forbid you weren't there since day 1.)

So are characters from all universes effectively "fair game"?

Well, in crossover games, even the most indestructable of characters like Accelerator have been nerfed to balance things out. That or everyone can be buffed in comparison.

Don't worry, a multiverse-travelling floating school is built for such situations.
