"Why should I care about a world that abandoned me."

Name: Alexandra Mathers

Age: 24

Gender: Female
Alex is fairly tall for a female, standing at 5'10", with lightly tanned skin and short brown hair styled in a buzz cut. She has noticeable muscles, giving her body more bulk than most females would possess, and her breasts sit at an A-cup, easily missed with the size of the rest of her body, giving her a rather masculine appearance. Her eyes are brown, and her face often set into what would appear to be a permanent frown or scowl, making her seem cold and haughty to those around her. She wears a masculine shirt and pants, along with a pair of brown boots, and a pair of black, fingerless gloves over her hands.

lewgrys_rwby_grimm_by_ghostfantasyfreak-

As a Faust, Alex stands at 6'8" tall at full height, and weighs close to 200 kilograms. Each of the claws are razor sharp, as are every spike around her body.

Alex has long developed anger issues, stemming from her early years, that left her with a hair-trigger temper set off often even at the mildest of things. In spite of this, over the years she has learned to keep control over her emotions, though it's often a hard battle for her to do so. Due to this almost constant battle to contain herself from just getting mad at everyone around her, as well as her rather apathetic mood whenever she does have control, she's often impatient and abrupt with those around her, verging on being downright rude if it will get them away from her. Most of her anger is just as quick to fizzle out as it is to appear, but to those that directly insult or demean her, that anger will continue to simmer below the surface long after the initial burst has fizzled out. A fairly solitary person by at first circumstance and later choice, she also doesn't have much experience actually socialising with people, leading her to lack nearly any understanding of basic courtesy or common decency. Since her imprisonment, she has harboured a deep hatred towards both the Church that imprisoned her, and humans in general who have time after time abandoned her to her fate. Also, after becoming a Faust, whenever her temper gets the better of her she has a tendency to slip across into her Faust form, releasing her anger and rage from the few restraints she can keep on it. While in this form, she has no sense of who or what she was, only a burning hatred of all of humanity that surpasses even the base urge to destroy everything, and causes her to focus on and attack any humans she encounters.

Abandoned by her parents, Alex was left in one of the orphanages around the capital of Caranall when she was barely more than a toddler. As she grew up, taunted and teased for having been abandoned with no knowledge of who her parents even were, she would often try and hit any of the other kids who were part of that. Later, as she started to learn to fight, her old tormentors slowly stopped, nearly all of them growing to fear her temper and no longer trying to actively rouse it. By that point though, she was disliked and left alone, even by the staff members who were tired of trying to punish her for habits that were most definitely ingrained by now. Eventually nicknamed the 'Demon' of the orphanage, she had the run of the place and enjoyed the power she now had, at the time not caring that her temper would be raised by the smallest of implied insults. It was only later when she realised just how much she'd become like her once-tormentors that she actively started to control her anger, though even once she was mostly succeeding, she still couldn't leave that reputation behind until she was finally old enough to leave and enlist in the Blessed Guard.

Leaving her past behind, and after convincing the orphanage matron to fiddle with her records to have her recorded as a male named Alexander, she entered the Blessed Guard so she could get some outlet for her anger, as well as to work at a job that would let her do the only thing she'd found she was good at, fighting. Even in the Blessed Guard, though she didn't advance in rank past a normal soldier, she developed a reputation for brutality while on the job, giving her yet another reputation as a particularly brutal and bad-tempered guard. Thanks to that, she also got chosen often as one of the Guards to help out in arrests, right up until the day she herself was accused of it. When she was, it turned out one of the other members of the guard had discovered her dupe in gender, turning out to be one of the other members at the orphanage she had often beat up in one of her rages. Naturally surprised when the female who had lorded over the orphanage was supposedly one of the go-to guards for witch hunts, he had told his superiors about her, and accused her of being a witch due to keeping her gender secret for so long. So, abandoned by even those she'd called comrades in the Guard, she was imprisoned in the dungeons and sentenced to death within a week. Before that could happen though, a certain witch approached her along with several of the other prisoners, and after she accepted the witches offer, turned her into a Faust.

Aspect of the Beast: In Faust form, Alex is stronger and faster than a human. She also has increased endurance and toughness, making her a powerful physical fighter capable of shrugging off lighter hits. Her hearing and sense of smell is also increased though this doesn't usually help much, as she doesn't have the sense of mind in Faust form to actually track anyone down unless they're immediately trying to escape her, but the enhanced hearing can help in battle. The increases are only slightly above that of a human for now, but as she grows stronger, they will increase further

Mad Enhancement: While transformed, Alex has given herself over completely to her base instincts, retaining only the raging hatred she has for humans. This allows the instincts of the body to come completely into play, allowing her to utilise the full extent of her Faust form's speed and strength without her former mind and instincts holding it back. However, she also has no sense of strategy or tactics while she does so, making her little more than a mindless beast at she does.

Overflowing Rage: In her Faust form, Alex's hatred and rage against humanity constantly spills out from her body for up half a metre around her, inciting anyone around her to fall into a mindless rage. This can be resisted without too much difficulty, though the longer someone stays inside the range of the aura, the harder it gets to resist. The range and intensity will also increase as she gets stronger, but is easily resisted for now.

Combat Training: Alex has been trained to fight both with weapons and unarmed during her time in the Blessed Guard, though those instincts are ingrained upon her body and mind, and won't transfer over into her Faust form.

Alex doesn't actually know her true last name, she chose Mathers herself after talking to an old gentleman while she was a child.

Theme Song: Die

App is now finished, though I'll change stuff if needed.
An elegant beauty with decent sized breasts, she has long black hair and grey eyes. She looks slightly older and more mature than she really is.

3PlD1Dt.png
Hecate has a bitter, sardonic personality that earned her few friends, but that she managed to temper over the years, ending up to be simply silent and only speaking out when she deems necessary. An anti-sociable person, having been locked away for so long, and then alienated amongst her fellow wards of the Church for being the favourite of a high-ranking priest. Somewhat morally grey, neither she nor her guardian had been dissuaded from killing others to protect her secret as a Witch, however, she believes that she has a firm role in the future of the world, whatever that may be.

Her outlook on life is uncertain, she has given little thought to how things will really turn out after she steps out into the world on her own. Only now, left to her own devices, had she began to ponder the way of things, and how the path of the world shall be. Suddenly thrusted with a huge responsibility, she is left insecure and alone, but her pride prevents her from reaching out to anyone.

She is the type that even though she would get harshly retaliated against, she would not hesitate to spite those who would pick on her. She would never bow down to those who hope to break her, simply because she refuses to, she doesn’t want to and nothing more.
3PlD1Dt.png
Hecate's abilities are strongest at the time of the full moon.

Witchcraft: While in the presence of spirits in the wilderness, she has the ability to call upon their aid to do various things.

Necromancy: By imbuing a body with a demon, she is able to control it like a puppet for a short amount of time. The puppet has no real combat ability.

Faustian Command: She is able to force Fausts to do her command.

Alright, I suppose it’s time I hammered out how this RP will roll out, and more detail on how being a Faust exactly works.

This is a Dark Fantasy RP, so there is a significant theme of brutality and hopelessness. It has been pointed out that Fausts are quite powerful. Unfortunately for you, you will not be very powerful at the start of the RP, your monster form is only probably able to take on a small group of people and if you go monster form, you start to lose yourself. After going full out monster form, you will only be able to revert after getting knocked out and Hecate casts her magic to revert you to a human form. In addition, Fausts only get more powerful over time as their body and soul adjusts to it. Eating souls (by devouring newly killed bodies) boosts your power, but your body will only be able to handle so much. The power boost from eating souls gets smaller and smaller at an exponential rate.

I want the fights in this RP to be gripping and tight, where a moment’s hesitation can mean death and the fight can be turned around against you in an instant.

The other focus of this RP is character development and human nature, especially the ugly side of it, and there’ll be the Humans Are Bastards trope in play.

Fausts are the embodiment of desire and purpose. They are beings that have abandoned their own souls in the pursuit of their desire, and a great factor in their power level is their fanaticism towards any sort of cause or emotion that would make them seem insane. Extreme religious fervor (which can be difficult since Fausts are considered evil), relentless greed and yandere obsessiveness are examples of possible ways to bring out your strength. I suppose White Knight Syndrome would also count, but if your character is too pure-hearted or perfect without good reason, I’m going to be picking on you.

So considering this, I’m going to have to be counting on you all to properly bring about your character’s development, and use the power-emotion correlation to your advantage while using common sense so not to godmod or try to steal the spotlight. I’d like you guys to be on Skype chat when you can so things can be talked out.
Name: Sir Ywain Gorlagon
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Height: 5'5"

Weight: 158 lbs

Eye Color: Light Violet

Hair Color: Black

BEEiO3q.jpg

Being a knight, Ywain understands the traits of chivalrous acts. He protects the weak and those who cannot help themselves and always tries to extend a hand to those in need. Ywain always does his best to serve the crown of the Vale and the kingdom its under, making sure his actions are just in each knightly job he accepts.

He is a skilled blacksmith, as he trained under a master before he was squired by the knight. However, his skills with blacksmithing do not exceed those of the master blacksmith he studied under, but rather at a level that is par to sub-par at best. Nevertheless, he is able to repair weapons and armor if need be.

Ywain shares a bit of animosity towards the man who fathered him, blaming him for never once being there when they truly needed it and how it slowly hurt his mother and himself to even know that the man never took the time to check in or anything. He may respect him to a certain extend, however, he truly doesn't look at him as his real father or any sort of father-figure.

As a Faustian, Ywain releases the inner beast and hunts for the prey he seeks. Though oddly enough, he still is able to act in a chivalrous manner.

To understand the tale of the one known as Ywain Gorlagon, one must understand another: Sir Herne Marrok...

Seventeen years ago, within the country known as the Vale, Herne Marrok, who was squiring a knight at the time, found himself with a young woman: Iseult Gorlagon. An arrangement out of wedlock was performed, and thus...the son of Herne was in the process of being conceived.

When Ywain was born, Herne had forgotten all about Iseult and had moved on, with his "womanizing actions", as Iseult called it. This caused the young woman to raise the bastard child on her own. Both her and the child had a very tough life, as without a husband and father figure to lead them and guide them, they were unable to do much of anything.

Nevertheless, the years slowly passed as Ywain grew up and made his mother as proud as she could be. He stayed as an apprentice to the local Blacksmith in the Vale, earning his keep with each job he helped the master Blacksmith with. However one day was unlike the rest. This Blacksmith was visited by a royal knight from the Kingdom of the Vale. It was here that the knight could sense such potential within the young boy, and after Ywain helped the master Blacksmith with the knight's request, he was then taken under the wing of the knight...thus allowing him to be his squire, leaving everything he knew behind. As such, the bastard child followed his father's footsteps.

The traits of a true knight, chivalry, the willingness to protect the weak, and showing loyalty to his king and kingdom, these traits almost came natural to young Ywain. With this he was able to be just the right squire for the knight, as he aided him in whatever he requested. It wasn't long before the young squire finally achieved knighthood at the young age of sixteen. Upon returning to face his mother, now a full-fledged knight...he returned to only dire news: Iseult Gorlagon had passed in her sleep. Those taking care of her, could only say that they were unaware of the cause of death. Ywain was now alone...and now a knight...what was he to do now?

However, time passed once more, but the worse had just been done. Leaving the Vale, Ywain traveled to a nearby town, only to be scoffed and hated on sight. They knew by his face and hair...that and the overall actions he had around him, that he was the child of Herne Marrok...thus by proxy, he was labeled in the business of witchcraft. It wasn't long before he too found himself in the position as others...bound and locked away in the Church dungeons...

However...between the pact being formed by the witch Hecate...and even finding the man who fathered him...what could happen next?

"Embrace your dreams, fight for the crown you serve:" Ywain is still considering himself knight of the Vale, regardless of the pact he made. To be expected, he is pro-efficient in the ways of combat. Fine Alterian Steel forged his ornate yet powerful plate armor render slashing useless against the Knight, as well as provides decent resistance against blunt trauma weapons, and crushing blows. While able to ride a steed as expected of a knight, no longer having access to his loyal horse meant bringing his lance was no longer an option, especially without a squire. Thus he is bound to his longsword, though is by no means less efficient at wielding it, capable of cleaving an unarmored foe in two.
1 - Longsword: Ywain's sword is more than happy to chop off men's limbs from limbs. The powerful and heavy weapon demands the use of both hands, though rewards such feats with a vicious ability to thrust into an enemy's body with ease, alongside a cleaving power able to thoroughly decimate foes foolish enough to engage a Knight in one on one combat.
2 - Armor: Ywain's armor is full steel plate armor. Ywain is also well guarded against spear or pike thrusts and provides decent defense against blunt trauma. Thrusting techniques solely proof effective in the joints and crevices of his armor. Longbows and crossbows are effective against his armor.

"When the Full Moon rises...so does the howling of the wolf:" Hecate blessed Ywain with an aspect of the ancient curse of Lycanthropy. Although he has the appearance of the werewolves of old, Ywain is anything but and is merely a Faust. Because of this, he is lacking the following:

 • a true lycanthrope is unable to control their transformation, subject to the mercy of the moonlight (as a Faust, he is fully capable of managing his transformation.)
 • transform into a full wolf (limited to an anthropomorphic canine figure.)
 • not empowered in moonlight, unlike true lycanthropes
 • unable to infect others with lycanthropy

However, in turn, Ywain gains the remaining traits a lycanthrope would acquire. A growth in muscle-span causes a great increase in strength and durability, and his canine traits enable him to acquire an enhanced bite, speed, stamina, jump-reflexes, senses, and the ability to use claws in combat. In being anthropomorphic, Ywain is also able to retain the use of his armor and sword.
1 - Claws: The claws of Ywain's lycanthrope form are recklessly powerful. Set on his powerful arms, Ywain's claws can easily rend flesh and smash bone asunder. He can, too, ball his fists and dish out blows capable of breaking and bending armor.
2 - Maw: Ywain's wolfen maw bears fangs capable of tearing metal apart, with a powerful jaw enabling the crushing of bone. Pinned down beneath Ywain in his Faustian form implies death. In addition to this, his nose has adopted canine sensitivity - able to detect prey from miles away, no-one remains safe nearby this big bad wolf.
3 - Ferocity: Ywain's mindset has changed upon donning the guise of the wolf. Developing a pack mentality and a domineering nature, Ywain's aggression levels becomes extraordinarily high. He becomes the ultimate hunter, able to know when to differ between a vicious and violent rampage to stalking particular prey. Yet this released beast also retains his chivalrous mannerisms he swore to uphold to as a knight.
4 - Hide: Ywain's hide is though. Truly tough, in the extent that it is able to ward off arrows and projectiles, softening trauma blows, and guarding against a thorough cutting technique. It is also fairly flame retardant, though not his fur.
5 - Undoing: Ywain's Faust transformation can possibly lead him to become unarmored and weaponless upon returning to his human guise. The pact with Hecate forces Ywain to return to the state he was prior to becoming a wolf, thus returning him his worldly possessions lost through transformation. It also acts as a very nice manner to heal grievous wounds.

Ywain Theme | Faust Theme | Battle Theme

 • The young knight's name has been used as homage to the following from Arthurian Mythology: Ywain the Bastard and Sir Gorlagon, an Arthurian Werewolf.
 • Ywain has often been known and called "The Bastard Son of the Vale" or "The Bastard Knight of the Vale".

I can't claim the original lines for either one, since I did use pixel bases I found via Google and Deviantart. But I both redrew them (to make the lines fit the artstyle I work with) and edited them, heavily-edited in the case of the Armagnis Faust, which I actually used a dragon-horse base for, before coloring them both in.

I'm one of those that, if you give me something to work with, I can work some magic with some amount of focus.

jdHRVzg.png
3PlD1Dt.png
Even as a young adult, Gregory is not one to see the world as it is; even as he was accused of witchcraft and dragged into an underground cell, death was not in his mind. After all, he was fairly certain of the reason for his apprehension, mistakenly believed to be some form of deal with Spirits or Demons.

Greg is one to try and see solutions in anything, fixing his mind on a problem and working his way through any possible routes, always at his own pace. The means to an end are not important to him however, and he is  obliviously capable of borderline (or clearly) psychopathic behaviour provided that it is the answer.

The man is very hard to upset or otherwise bother; mostly out of sheer apathy. There is one way to rustle his jimmies majorly, though.

Because certain incidents in his childhood, which he had deep buried away, resurfaced recently, Gregory suffers from a crippling fear of the dark. He must be close to a light source at all times, experiencing severe mental distress the darker his surroundings.
3PlD1Dt.png
Gregory began his life the son of a farmer and a tailor living a simple life at the edge of the deep forests of The Vale. Although he never did go hungry, his life was not exactly filled with luxury or even proper lighting at night. Both his parents illiterate, the boy would have been bound to ignorance had he not encountered a man lost within the forest. A foreigner, he would later tell; and a hungry one too.

The humble household took him in without a second thought, with a young and eager Gregory insisting that he take his bed. In payment for their hospitality, the foreigner worked his shift with the animals during the day; at night, and burning firewood he would himself chop, he would teach a growing Greg to write and read. There was always a book or two the man would not let Greg lay eyes on, but he had peeked in them anyway and could not make heads or tails out of the symbols scribbled therein.

The foreigner left shortly after Gregory turned 11, on a starless night, taking the farmer's wife with him and leaving no trace of his presence beyond a single, unreadable book. Devastated, the farmer sold his land and together both he and his son chose to start life anew in a mining town near the Alterian border.

Gregory never did fully forget how lonely he had felt that night; how threatening the emptiness felt, how his grasp on sanity was crudely cut off. As a grown adult would describe it, Gregory became afraid of the dark. The way he saw it, the dark had swallowed everything he had and was still there, perfectly able to snatch him away just the same. It just chose not to. It just chose to wait, to let its plaything writhe in fear.

Eventually his father took up the miner's trade; meanwhile, Gregory read up and sought knowledge. He could not explain his fascination with learning, though at some point he surely thought he was simply mimicking the stranger who had taken his mother and broken his father. Every night, he would attempt to read the writings in that bizarre book, the only memento of the monster who had educated him. Slowly, he began understanding bits and pieces, and for the first time he found his way to a word he had never noticed scribbled among the formulas. He asked about it the following day, only to be told by a resident church flagbearer that this 'Chemistry' was nothing short of witchcraft. That he would be imprisoned at once were he to attempt it.

Gregory disregarded the warning altogether and focused all of his reading time on the undecipherable book. Slowly but steadily, he started memorizing the meaning of each and every one of the loose letters and numbers in the book. As time went by, Greg found himself hating the foreigner less and less for his vile actions, rather admiring him for his work in such complicated and perfect craft. His thought process warped by his obsession with chemistry, his emotions gradually died away like a flickering shadow once a candle is blown out. His daily life struggles became nothing more than equations, problems for his mind to solve without effort. The human element faded into unconsciousness, and soon emotion became as foreign to him as the man who had once chopped his life to pieces. Even his crippling fear of the dark slipped from his mind into nothing.

His studies came into fruition at the age of 18, when in attempting to combine a couple of formulas of his own, a black powder capable of violent burning shook his father and his miner coworkers. Gregory attempted to explain the reaction yet the miners were clearly ready to call him out on witchcraft. They would have, had Gregory not also pointed out its productive uses. Mining became a simple task and money flowed into town.

This attracted the attention of the church. An inspection crew walked into a 20-year-old Gregory detonating a small charge near an iron cluster. It was deemed witchcraft immediately. And the rest, as they say, is history.
3PlD1Dt.png

Abilities: Original body faints, and remains unconscious for the remainder of the transformation. No significant increase in resistence of main body, and killing it will destroy all shadows. Can make use of any shadow in the environment as long as it is connected to the original body's shadow. Shadows can be moved around and come off the ground as solid, though not impenetrable objects which do not in turn cast a shadow. Eyes and mouths are functional. Cannot survive in environments where shadows cannot be cast.3PlD1Dt.png

Miscellaneous: Main Theme | Monster Theme

->He became a miner only once his fear of the dark disappeared. It worked out fine until he was thrown in prison; his fear then returned.

->Gregory's father literally came up with his own last name after settling down in his farm within the woods, and it simply reflects the nature of the trees around. He was named Gregory because it would be easy to remember.

->...His father is not the smartest cookie. He is never the less now part of an anti-church faction because of the unjust capture of his son.

PRISONER REPORT FROM THE FILES OF HIGH JAILER REGINALD ELROY

Prisoner 16B:  Joanne Crow

Prisoner Age: 35

Gender:  Female

3PlD1Dt.png

Appearance Report

3PlD1Dt.png

Prisoner 16B is 173 cm tall and weighs 66 kg.  Weight seems to fluctuate within a kilogram or two on the month.  Iris color, a light brown.  Hair color, auburn.  Prisoner seems happy enough on the outside - even though they are in a solitary cell - and will often show grace and kindness towards those she speaks with.  No outward magical abilities or malformations on the body.  Heavy scarring on the lower-stomach and genitalia from stab wounds - acquired from the incident leading to her arrest (see addendum:  16B-A).

3PlD1Dt.png

Psychological Report

3PlD1Dt.png

Prisoner 16B suffers from insanity; she perceives all children as her children, and will often violently attempt to take them into her [acronym='After the "Hung Child" incident, under no circumstances is Prisoner 16B allowed to be around child prisoners of any sort.']'hospitality'.[/acronym]  While 16B is generally kind, she is often argumentative, and constantly asserts that she is right even when she is wrong.  She is highly intelligent, and has been known to manipulate other prisoners into receiving what she wants.

16B often prays to Titania, even though she has recently been accused of [acronym='See: Hung Child incident.']witchcraft[/acronym].  She is incredibly devout and will often invoke the Lady's name in casual speech. She shows a particular disdain for the art of witchcraft, which is odd, considering she is a witch in the eyes of the law.

3PlD1Dt.png

16B-A | Past, Crime, and Sentencing

3PlD1Dt.png

16B was born into a poor family of tailorsAt the [acronym='Thirteen years old.']age of coming[/acronym], she was wedded to a mutual friend of the family.  At the age of fifteen, she bore her first child unto the world, but it was lost to disease at a young age.  Seeing this as a sign from Titania that she had been a bad mother, 16B took it upon herself to raise another child - this time, devoutly in the name of Her Gloriousness.  Her next child was a daughter; Anna was her name, after the latter part of Titania.

16B's child was a troublemaker around the village;  while she did strive to be a good mother, Joanne worked overtime to keep her family well fed.  Her husband was a drunkard, and did nothing around the house to help.  Eventually, 16B's child ended up committing a heinous act of disrespect towards Titania and was sentenced to burn at the stake.  16B was devastated, and became a recluse as a result.  Her husband took up the mantle as caretaker of the family.

Years passed, and children began disappearing from the village.  By word of mouth, the story of the Adopter gained speed.  Children who went out alone at night disappeared, taken by the Adopter, never to be seen again.

The Adopter was 16B.

The loss of her daughter to the church changed 16B.  She was a bad mother, and she was punished a second time by Titania for her actions.  No longer would 16B leave her children alone and behind.  No, 16B would always be by their side.  She would always care for them, for they were her world.

16B began kidnapping children who wandered around the village at night and stored them in her cellar, caged by iron bars she had fashioned herself.  Children she caught were starved, and subsequently died as she simply watched, cooing to them, letting them know that everything was alright and that they were good children.  She was a broken woman.

Eventually, the stench of the bodies attracted attention.  She was found and imprisoned for her heinous actions, but not before the parents of those lost souls exacted their revenge upon her.

3PlD1Dt.png

HEAR YE!  HEAR YE! HIDE YOUR CHILDREN!  GHASTLY DEMON ON THE LOOSE!

3PlD1Dt.png

"Mothers and fathers, be aware!  There is a ghastly monster on the loose that preys on children!  If you see a woman with the bottom half of an insect, be aware!  Hide your children, else you may never see them again..."

Joanne's faustian form is that of half woman, half centipede - her top half is that of her human form, while from the waist down it is insect-like.  Her lower half is sectioned into twenty-two separate plates, each around 25 cm long, and each possessing one pair of legs, for a total of forty-four legs.  Running along the entirety of the belly of her centipede body is a gaping maw, ever undulating with gnashing, needle-like teeth.  The coloration of her lower body is a matte black, with well-defined yellow gradient stripes running on each plate.

This faust is known to abduct children and hide them in its lair.  These children are starved.  Upon the brink of death, the creature will embrace them, wrapping the entirety of its body around the small body and digesting him or her before devouring the remainder of its body.  The creature will whisper into the child's ear how wonderful they have been, and how proud they are to have been his or her mother.

This creature is called the Adopter.  Won't you let it take you in?

Wasn't sure I was going to get an app done but here it is. I have never done this whole line crazy presentation style before what with the face shot and quote I've seen done both here and other RPs but I must say that I do like it. Anyway, do tell me if there's anything I need to alter.

"He was all I wanted in life... but I'll never have that now will I?"

3PlD1Dt.png

Name: Kyra O'Floinn
Age: 18
Gender: Female

3PlD1Dt.png
Kyra stands at roughly five feet and five inches tall with a slim build. Normally she wears plain work type dresses for chores around her family's home. Nothing too fancy just something to wear while working. For occasions where she was needed to help defend her family's town she wore some protective armor similar to what's seen below. (Though I suppose the "full pic" isn't much more insightful than just the face shot)
From head to tail this form stands at roughly eighteen feet. The sort of throne it sits on is actually part of it's body and moves to allow movement on land. Though the seat of sorts can disappear and reappear as needed.
On the most general level, Kyra is idealistic and stubborn. A bit of an interesting combination. She has a strong sense of what should be and can very stubbornly defend that things are that way even when they're not. Part of this comes from her religious upbringing in the Church of Titiania. It has taught her to have a strong sense of right and wrong and to stand up for what she feels is right almost to the point where she won't accept arguments to the contrary. She's not necessarily the most devout member but she does honestly feel she at least accepts the teachings of the Church if not believe. Another factor to her idealism is that she simply wants everyone to be happy.

Kyra is generally very sociable and able to talk easily with new people. Once an actual friendship is established Kyra is very devoted and supportive. She'll always seek ways to help with whatever however she can. She seeks friendship out of a strong desire for acceptance that she never voices but very much feels internally. She tends to be rather protective of friends as well. She won't put up with people attempting to hurt someone she cares about in any way be it physically, emotionally, etc.

She has a bit of a tomboyish streak to her though nothing too extreme. (Mostly she has a desire to be a swordsman despite the oddity of a woman learning to fight.) Despite what actually might be going on in her life, Kyra tries her best to put up a brave front whether or not she really feels it. Part of this includes generally being happy and excited which usually is genuine though can be faked when things aren't going well. She never wants to be a cause of worry to her friends so she tries to make it seem like everything's alright. Though generally when things get really rough she becomes harder to approach. She tends to shy away from going to others for help when she's struggling like this.
Kyra was born and raised in a simple farming village in the Vale. The community was decently far removed from other cities and villages and as such was very closely knit. The town's welfare depended on all of the people in it positively contributing towards that end. At the center of the town was a house of worship for the Goddess Titania and as such the people all are familiar with the church's teachings.

The O'Floinn family owned a decently large ranch taking care of various livestock to make a living. All of the family had to contribute starting at young ages and Kyra was no exception. She had two older brothers and an older sister and two younger brothers all of whom also worked away at helping the family ranch make it by.

It truly was a simple life. Kyra and her family were close and the children of the village all mostly knew each other. The children worked on the farms with their parents in the mornings and usually had a few hours of classes at the church building in the afternoon to give them a sort of very basic education. Those who excelled in class often were brought into the church to be more formally trained and taught and usually ended up becoming clergy. Kyra never much cared for the school classes though one of her younger brothers did eventually get very involved with the church.

Being so far from other towns meant the people of the village had to be able to defend themselves. Generally this amounted to nothing more than helping other families drive off wild animals though occasionally it meant warding off groups of bandits. Everyone was needed for this effort so Kyra and many others received very basic training on the use of swords and other weaponry. Kyra loved the opportunities to help defend the village or ward off predators threatening livestock. She always wanted to be a master swordsman but the idea of a woman becoming a warrior, a knight, or anything of that nature was generally frowned upon.

New people would come to the village looking for a new place to establish a home on rare occasion. One such family came into town when Kyra was fourteen years old. Like the rest of the villagers they would soon establish a farm and help the community but there was something else that fascinated Kyra when she discovered it. The father of the family was a bit of a musician and when his day's work was done he would often tinker with making various instruments out of wood. He had a son named John who was Kyra's age who shared this passion for music and would often have something akin to a record on him at all times.

Kyra was never very knowledgeable about music before meeting this new family and the melodies they would play entranced her. She came to love this concept of music though many others in the village wished the family would simply stick to their farming business. Kyra made it a point to become good friends with John hoping he would teach her anything about the instruments he and his father made. The two did become very good friends and as the years went on Kyra couldn't help but feel she'd developed a crush on him. But she never voiced these feelings to him and he never seemed to have any such feelings for her.

Things continued this way for roughly four years. Not long after turning eighteen Kyra's parents began seriously discussing marriage with her. John was the only one she could imagine herself marrying but she didn't dare say it to her parents. Though the town was friendly with John's family it seemed it had yet to truly accept them and Kyra feared her parents shared this same sentiment.

The peaceful quiet the town so often enjoyed was shattered one night. There was a storm passing through town. The wind strong and the rain moderate. And the strangest thing happened. The house of John's family caught fire. The town came together to try and contain it before the fire spread to anything else and were mostly successful. In the midst of the fire John's family managed to escape but John himself had been injured when the roof came crashing down on their way out but managed to get away with nothing more past a broken arm.

On the following morning the town was in an uproar gathered together in the square before the church building. A group of people were approaching the church and they were dragging a girl to the square. Upon meeting the clergy they began to state that this girl had been seen near the burning house the night before close to the time the fire had started and that only witchcraft could have caused a fire to start while it was raining. Accusations of witchcraft had not often come before but whenever they did they were usually small events and resolved quickly. This time proved to be no such case.

The girl emphatically denied she had set fire to the house. But as the pressure was mounted for her to confess to witchcraft she eventually broke. But she did something most others had never thought to do. She said she had set fire to the house but only because a witch had made her to. She then called out a name of another girl in town and claimed she was the witch who had controlled her to cause the fire. The uproar surged again. The new girl was brought forward and much the same thing happened.

Time after time each girl would confess to her "crime" but then state someone else in the village was a witch who had made them to. And by so doing they escaped the wrath of the people and the next girl would face it. Much to Kyra's alarm one of the girls brought forth claimed that she was the witch who had controlled her. Immediately the mob dragged her forward to make her confess her crime. But Kyra knew she was innocent and refused to do as the others before her had and falsely accuse another.

No matter the pressure or repetition of the question, Kyra reiterated that she was not a witch and that she had done nothing wrong. In their panic over the incident and in the heat of the moment the town cried for her imprisonment stating her refusal to acknowledge her crime indicated her guilt. And so the sentence was passed that Kyra would be transported to dungeon in another town where the church's presence was more powerful and official and would there await her impending death sentence.

To any questioner Kyra repeated the truth that she was not guilty and with each denial gained greater scorn. She was cast into prison to await her soon to be execution. Doubt and grief swelled in her heart. She couldn't believe that this would be allowed to happen to her when she had done no wrong. But mostly she wanted to see John again and finally tell him how she felt. As the time of her execution drew closer the more she desperately hoped for some way to still live and see him again.

And then came a voice. A voice that promised her power to live and escape if a contract was made. Kyra saw the glimmer of hope she had so begged for and took the offer, not knowing what would become of her for it.
While in Human Form

-Water manipulation: Kyra is able to change the state and purity of water she is in contact with. Simply meaning she can freely change water between solid, liquid and gaseous forms as well as purify unclean water or taint clean water. She is not able to actually move the water but simply change those qualities of it. The more water she attempts to alter the less potent her powers are. (Meaning she can't freeze/evaporate/poison a whole lake or river)

-Swords from nowhere: Kyra can create swords to use in battle but can never have more than two out at once that were created from this power. They have no inherently amazing qualities to them, they simply serve as means to survive. Rapidly creating new swords in quick succession is strenuous and lessens the quality of the sword produced.

While in Half-Faust Form

-Stronger swords: The larger sword shown in the picture is the weapon of choice in this form. Similar restrictions apply to their creation as in human form.

-Stronger Body: Kyra becomes strong enough to not just lift the much larger swords but fight well with them. The parts of her body that are formed from the Faust are much harder to injure and in that way act as a sort of armor.

-Mild Regeneration: Simple cuts, burns, scrapes, and other injuries heal quickly. Major injuries heal faster but still take time. Cannot prevent fatal blows and slows down as more injuries are sustained.

While in Faust Form

-Stronger Human/Half-Faust form abilities: Can affect larger bodies of water and can create massive swords and more of them with less effort. No change in regeneration though hardly reacts to injuries or pain.

-Dissonance: In Faust form Kyra can let out screeches that begin to cross the threshold of pain within a few yards of her. Not fatal but disorienting and painful. Possibly could knock a normal human out if within a few feet.
