LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Yeah I've got one nomination in and that was a tie. XD (Which is good cause that's what I wanted) But yep, "dem newbies". And I agree, 2 wins in a row would for sure mean Flygon goes to retirement, or hall of fame or something. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Probably retirement. Also round 3 matches are going up.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I'm really excited. Not gonna lie, the fact that Glaceon and Venusaur tie happened made me really stoked. Plus some of the "Popular but I'm neutral to" Pokemon are gone.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, Latias's old adversaries from last tournament died out early in Round 1, so that made a bit happy. The remaining matches will prove to be interesting; will be watching for newbie votes so we don't get more upsets like a few matches in R2 (and probably the preliminaries as well). Maeriberii Haan
At this point the only mon I'm rooting for is Flygon and Gallade.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Flygon's losing right now to the black dog in its match, so might not see a two-tournament victory in its horizon. But the RNG goddess has no more nominations.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Team Dragonite FTW! This tournament is forever destined to be won by dragon-type pseudo legendarys.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Goodra already advanced, but in a tie with my Eon. Oh yeah, and Dragonite did too. Also Charizard is losing right now.
~British Soul~
I'm down to one nomination now. C'mon Feraligatr! Team Dragonite FTW! This tournament is forever destined to be won by dragon-type pseudo legendarys. Even though Flygon isn't technically a Pseudo-Legendary.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, Flygon doesn't have the 600 BST needed to qualify, nor is it in the Slow group. (And it lost to Houndoom) Anyway, the last eight matches end tomorrow night.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Fairly sure that Venusaur is losing, so I have no nominations. Who to root for... Dragonite, Houndoom, Glaceon and Espeon are most likely.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, the komainu is burning Venusaur right now. Swampert is making fun of Groudon and M-Lucario right now. Eevee & Espy are tied. Charizard's getting creamed by Shadow Lugia; you do not stand in the way of XD001.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Well this round turned out interesting...Disappointing for me...but also not. The Eeveelutions and Venusaur lost, but Lugia beat Charizard bad, Swampert advanced AND took out Lucario, and Yveltal took out Infernape Going to be a strange next match having no Eeveelutions to vote for. (Eevee is too bland and to me not as cute for me to want to vote it through against most choices.)
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, Glaceon/Espy (and Leafeon) have the honor of surviving the most rounds out of their kind. [Sylveon/Vaporeon/Flareon died off in Round 1; Jolteon/Umbreon lost in Round 2, but latter might have gotten through, had the dupe account votes not gone through]. That's two more nominations of mine gone; I still have Latias and Arcanine (as a last ditch nomination, after seeing I had forgotten to remove a single instance of Sceptile while getting matches up) to root for though. Anyway, I'll set up the first four new matches now; along with a "what if this happened match" (if we didn't count mass newbie votes and Umbreon was the one to take on Mewtwo). ~British Soul~
I think having a "What if" match was a good idea, giving us a chance to see what would've happened had Blazikengate (That's what I'll be calling it now) not happened. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Are there other matches that you want to see done over? But yeah, I knew you guys were upset over that match; so that's why the "What if" match was made.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Team Dragonite FTW! We can do this!
Flash Flyer - Sakura
It is possible Dragonite might sweep, but we'll see how well it fares in the next round. I hope I don't need to explain how 4-1 ended, but it certainly isn't ending in someone getting booted from their job.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Well guys, we're entering the semifinals. And for all intents and purposes, it appears to be an oldies battle now. We have Dragonite representing Kanto; Houndoom/Feraligatr representing Johto and Rayquaza for Hoenn. [It's a straight 4 Pokémon battle, so 2 1v1s to decide the ones who fight for the championship. And there will be a 3rd place match amongst the losers in R6] P.S. You can ignore the farewell speech to Latias in 5-2 if you want; basically just happy that she survived up until this point. (If anything, she made it as a quarter-finalist)
~British Soul~
C'mon Feraligatr, you can at least come home with a medal. I'm just happy that 1 of my nominations have even made it this far.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, I wished Latias survived into the semifinals; then she'd at least be in contention for a bronze medal. But top 8 (9) is still good. Same with Arcanine. BTW, the semis are up. Hoenn v Johto Kanto v Johto
~British Soul~
Feraligatr takes 3rd, I'm fine with that tbh. Although a tiny part of me is hoping that a dragon-type doesn't win the next one (if there will be one in the future). I do like how Rayquaza came from behind to take the win, because it was looking like Dragonite was going to take it.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
There probably might be one in a month or so; but can't really say much if a Dragon wins again. But at least it wasn't Flygon, however still a Hoenn Poke. For comparative reasons, I'll do a list of the top ranking Pokes from each type (and how far they advanced [win/lose]). If a Poke is dual-Typed, I'll go with the higher placing one (or primary if tied); that way, Pokes don't end up in 2+ categories. Dragon: Rayquaza / Dragonite [FINAL; 1st/2nd] Psychic: Latias [R5] Normal: Eevee [R4] Fighting: Lucario / Infernape [R3] Rock: Tyranitar [R2] Water: Feraligatr [R6; 3rd] Fire: Arcanine [R5] Bug: Shuckle [R4] Fairy: Xerneas / Sylveon [R1] Poison: Dragalge [R2] Flying: Yveltal [R5] Steel: Scizor [R4] Grass: Venusaur [R3] Ground: Swampert [R5] Ice: Glaceon [R3] Dark: Houndoom [R6] Electric: Jolteon [R3] Ghost: Giratina [R3] As for the formal winners: 1st - Rayquaza 2nd - Dragonite 3rd - Feraligatr 4th - Houndoom Regional performance [How far did the highest placing Poke(s) of each regions go up to) 1st - Hoenn [R7-C] 2nd - Kanto [R7-R] 3rd - Johto [R6] 4th - Kalos [R5] 5th - Unova [R4] 6th - Sinnoh [R3] In other words, top placers are from the first half of the generations (should I call them the GB ones, because they existed in Gameboy). Yveltal is the farthest out of the DS ones [Gen 4-6] at R5. With this post, I conclude the YCM GPT 2. You all are free to make the third one on your own accords, if you wish.
