Admiral_Stalfos19
[spoiler=Saori Toyama, the Autistic Goth who Specializes in Making Traps (WIP)]Name: Saori Toyama Age: 13 Gender: Female Appearance: Saori stands at 4' 9", has a BWH ratio of 23-20-23, and weighs in at 97 lbs. In simpler words, she's petite... and rather short for someone her age to boot. Her skin is just as pale as her white hair, which can make anyone who's seen her for the first time think that she's an albino. However, it's considerably paler than it was when Saori was born, which may indicate that she's just not getting much sunlight into her body, if any at all. Saori is almost never seen without her headphones on, and also carries a knapsack that contains things one might not expect a girl to carry on her person. Most notably, it's in this knapsack that Saori keeps most of her tools, as well as a couple spare ammo magazines for her gun, which is holstered just behind her shoulder blade under her dress. Personality: On the surface, Saori may come across as just an ordinary, rather shy little girl. But she actually has a dark and brooding personality inside, and that becomes apparent when she speaks about her past, or about her outlook on life. Saori firmly believes that everyone is ultimately on their own, and this makes it difficult for her to trust anyone else. She also remains adamant that all there is to the outside world is suffering and despair, and a part of her is glad that she was taken away from society. As to why she'd feel that way? Saori has her reasons, but it essentially boils down to her not liking to deal with people. Saori is very pessimistic, and often gets concerned that she maybe incompetent, even bordering on being a defeatist; this is especially the case when something that she never took into account crops up and she realizes it too late. However, as soon as Saori is in control of a specific situation, or in a position to take control, all pessimism and concerns vanish completely. Saori doesn't have a severe case of autism, but her case is well and truly far from mild. Having been born with this comes with its ups and downs, and while it grants her a few extra points in the IQ scale, it limits her ability to express emotions other than sadness and concern, and there's still a couple things that most would consider simple but that Saori can't actually comprehend. One thing Saori can't understand is how friendships are meant to last, as she never had anyone to call a friend in her entire life. Another thing is how exactly one is supposed to obtain happiness, as again, all she sees to this world is suffering and despair... which may explain how she managed to get herself into depression. Saori dislikes hearing the sound of her own voice due to it sounding deeper than one would expect, and thus prefers to remain silent, but will often start or end a conversation without even turning to the person she's conversing with or stopping whatever she's doing at the time. Regardless, Saori only has one objective now, and that's to get herself out of this mess. She'll have to play along with the killing of her target(s), and she may very well treat the situation like a game of chess; focus on victory, and always stay one step ahead of her foes if that is at all possible. History: While serving time in prison for an armed robbery, Kira Hamasaki gave birth to a beautiful red-eyed girl, who the warden had promptly taken away from her. The warden had the baby girl sent to a foster home, to be looked after by a young couple that he'd picked randomly. The couple were named Hiroaki and Oriana Toyama, and the baby girl was subsequently christened as Saori Toyama. Hiroaki and Oriana raised Saori as one of their own children, and tried to make her comfortable living with them. But Kira was always on Saori's mind, and Saori failed to bond with the couple as a result. Concerned about this, the two foster parents took Saori to the local therapist. Here, Saori was diagnosed with infantile autism. That explained a lot of the behavior that she was displaying towards Hiroaki and Oriana, such as her refusal to turn to or talk to either of them when they called her name, and her poor language development over the years, but it didn't explain why she never truly bonded with them. However, when one of the therapists asked her why she didn't bond with the young couple, Saori took one look at Oriana and then said the following: "She's... not my mother..." This greatly upset Oriana, but when the therapist asked how Saori could say this, Saori replied that she knew what her mother looked like... only to end up describing Kira's physical details, before going to describe everything that happened duration her short duration inside the prison. Hiroaki was amazed that Saori could remember all this, and remarked that 7 years had passed since he himself had last heard of it. However, although the couple learnt much about how Saori's autism worked back then, the attempt to establish a bond ultimately went nowhere, as Saori still had Kira on her mind. But ever since that day, Saori was still allowed to annually visit Kira in prison, but only while Hiroaki was at her side; Hiroaki was very strict with this condition, having noted Kira's coldness and rejective tendencies the first time they met. But one day, Saori set off to see Kira on her own, as the latter was to be released from prison early for good behavior. She had brought a few things with her that day, but ended up missing regardless. However, Hiroaki had been promoted to become a detective, and immediately began investigations. His first suspicion was that Kira was the one who kidnapped Saori, but after an interrogation with her, Kira's alibi checked out, which left Hiroaki to go back to the drawing board. The next thing he did was look through all the missing persons cases, cold and still active, to see if there was a link to Saori's sudden vanishing. Alas, nothing came to fruition. But despite all the stress he suffered since her disappearance Hiroaki still remains stubbornly determined to find Saori and bring her home, although whether or not he'll ever get a lead is unknown... Skills/Abilities: Thanks to her autistic savantism, Saori is overall rather intelligent, and has an especially strong understanding of physics and spatial recognition, as well as a photographic memory. This allows her to determine exactly how objects react to external forces such as gravity, which in turn lets her prepare accordingly. Also, while her natural pessimism is normally a bad thing, it does allow her to identify worst case scenarios with relative quickness and ease. Another thing Saori's autism grants her is the ability to clear her mind completely of hesitation, and focus solely on her foe and what she thinks they'll do. She'll watch her foe like a hawk watches its prey, noticing every single movement the foe makes; even movements that might seem meaningless. Saori carries a gun along with her knapsack of tools, which can carry about 12 bullets for each magazine she happens to have on hand. Despite having some firearms training, she's not entirely confident that she can actually hit someone with it; reason being that she's only just starting to handle the recoil, and bullets travel too fast for even someone with her understanding of physics to read where exactly they'll hit. But even if she misses many of the shots she fires, at least Saori can use the gun to scare her foes into falling for her true ace in the hole; the art of trap setting. All she needs is a few materials and tools, and Saori can make any kind of trap to suit her desires. Most of these traps can be deadly, and all are worryingly easy to overlook; even Saori herself would be at risk of triggering her traps if not for her photographic memory. Spotting these traps requires a keen eye, and time to analyse even the slightest imperfections one can find in any particular room or hallway. This is where Saori's gun may come in handy; if she can remove her target's ability to think about such small details, she'll ultimately be able to do them in. Saori is very careful about placing each tripwire for a trap and camouflaging each pressure plate, but it's during the construction of each of these traps that she's at her most vulnerable, mostly because of the noise she makes at the time. However, there is one more thing that Saori requires in order to have full confidence in her traps, and that one thing is a full layout of the land. As such, she'll spend most of her initial few days exploring the manor in its entirety. She'll try to remain vigilant, however, and will quickly close the door of a room or throw down a few rusty nails or spikes or something behind her if she's in a hallway. It won't help against those that can attack down range, but it can at least make it difficult to draw near her. Other: Before she was kidnapped, Saori lived with Hiroaki Tomaya and Oriana Toyama, who are her foster father and foster mother respectively. Her birth mother goes by the name of Kira Hamasaki.[/spoiler]

Merci
Actually..., it doesn't. Pixiv also doesn't allow hotlinking. I suggest you to upload it to imgur or another similar service.Well, considering that I'd already tried hotlinking from Danbooru and another site prior (which both failed for presumably the same reason), I guess I wasn't really thinking when I tried Pixiv. Yeah, uploading it to imgur or tinypic should make it easier.
-Noel-
Done. [spoiler='Velia Kiyabu'] Name: Velia Kiyabu Age: 14 Gender: Female [spoiler='Appearance'] H/W: 4'10, 101 [/spoiler] [spoiler='Personality'] Velia is a quiet and reserved girl. Her past made her become a self-reliant girl who barely needs any help from others and could say something like she doesn't need friends without hesitation. Despite this, she's actually very clever and always knows how to act in social situations. She's also observative and is rarely known to make a move or jump into any new situation without carefully considering all her options That's how people see her. Deep inside, she's very kind girl, so kind so that she couldn't hurt anyone without enough solid reasons. If she needs to fight someone to obtain something, she'd rather give up on that thing. In addition, despite being a former heiress of Mafia group, Velia never, and couldn't kill anyone even when she obviously needs to. [/spoiler] [spoiler='History'] Velia was the sole daughter of Kiyabu Group, the Italian-Japanese Mafia group which was a big shot in weapons manufacturing business. Her mom was died in her birth. When she was 6, her dad who was a president of the company and boss of the group started to suffer from heart disease. Knowing he had not much time left, he had some of his skillful subordinates take a role of Velia's personal teacher and tried to teach her many things that normal schools will never teach, things like martial arts or how to use gun professionally so that she could protecting herself even without him. Unfortunately, the result was far from success. While Velia could dodge all close-ranged attacks and eventually avoid being hurt from a lesson using real knife in just 4 years after started learning, she couldn't land even a single counter blow on any of her teacher, or even shot any single target animal, not because of her inability, but her kindness. In addition, she also mastered various skills that her dad said unnecessary like easily fleeing herself from bondage like ropes, nets or handcuffs or picking locks with a hairpin. All of that made her dad got frustrated and worsen his condition, so that he got sudden heart attack and passed away. 4 years ago, only 2 days after after her dad's funeral finished. The bossless Kiyabu group was attacked by some enemy Mafia groups. The house was set on fire and their men were slaughtered. Velia actually ran into some attacker thug and managed to take his gun using her skill, but at that decisive moment, she couldn't shoot, and that thug suddenly grabbed his chance by striking her and knocked her out while she's hesitating. She regained consciousness in the driving truck, the tailgate seems to be locked and Velia herself is restrained, but she used her skills that her dad has looked down on to untie herself, unlock the door and successfully escaped. The place where she was jumped off the truck was some unfamiliar town. She started her new life by selling all valuables she had but a Flash watch she received as a birthday present from her dad when she was 8, she has sold even a precious family pure gold necklace which she was told to keep it for family's next heir, since she's clever enough to not value it over food and a place to stay that she's trying to find. With enough money, she enrolled in some random local school with dorms. Since an elementary school for 10 years old children is not the place where transfer student during the middle of term always being popular, Velia has been trolled by her classmate harshly, and even worse when she told them that she currently had no parents. She never fought back, but also used her skill to avoid being harmed by them. Things keep going like that until she graduated and moved to middle school. Now the relationship with her classmate is better, she's nothing more than an ordinary good-looking girl in a class. Still, she never has any friends that she could fully trust. [/spoiler] [spoiler='Skills/Abilities'] Thanks to the most valuable present from her dad, Velia has a decent combat skills, namely quick reflexes, agility and speed so that she could avoid an ordinary teenagers' attack with knife. She's also really good at weapons especially guns, but not when pointing it at others. Furthermore, she lacks of offensive ability by any means since she never wants to hurt anyone. And as mentioned, she couldn't kill anyone in any situations (Me: but things can change, fufufu). She also capable of some other useful abilities like lockpicking and bondage escaping. [/spoiler] Other: Her Flash watch (Solar energy) which was a present from her dad is a special device newly developed by their company at that time. It could be use as a Flashlight and a 1-time usage Flashbang with 6 hours charging time in sunlight. [/spoiler]

(GigaDrillBreaker)
Oh, hey, Merc's picture works now. Looks sweet. [Spoiler=Anyway, Stalfos, you asked for critique, so here it is] First off, I would like to start by saying that the trap angle is a good idea, it adds a further depth of combat and allows for some really cool RP interactions. Now onto my issues. You have done the autism thing before, and frankly, I have never been a fan of the way in which it is executed. If you insist upon keeping it (which would not be the worst idea, considering how deeply it ties into her characterization,) i would like to make a small correction. What you described is not typically defined as autism, rather being refered to as Asperger Syndrome. Trust me on this one, my little brother has it, I know what I am talking about. Furthermore, saying that she is smarter because of it is a misleading statement. Savantism has not been proven to be caused by mental disorder, rather appearing along with it because of its very nature, and it is far from guarunteed. The increased spacial recognition is a good way to go at the savantism, but knowing where bullets are going to hit is silly, consdering that bullets go faster than the average human reflexes, let only mental processing caabilities. Sorry, no bullet prediction lines for you. Socially, however, you hit Asperger's Syndrome/High functional Autism (these terms are synonymous, by the way,) on the nose, so there is definitely several ways to make this character work. Tl;dr: Be careful with Autism, it doesn't give super powers. [/spoiler]

(GigaDrillBreaker)
Ok. This was a cool idea, and I am not going to let it die. If you have a reserve on this and do in fact intend to act upon, either post in here or send me a PM asap. Otherwise, your reserve will be removed for somebody else to enter in. Of course, any previously accepted apps are still in. If you have something already done, ANYTHING, just post it as a WIP so that I know you are still on board with this. Seriously, let's get our shit together and make this happen.

a bad post
[spoiler='Mamoru Hijiri'] Name: Mamoru HijiriAge: 15Gender: M [spoiler='Appearance'] Measurements Weight: 102 lbs Height: 5'2"[/spoiler] [spoiler='Personality']Mamoru is a very quite young man, often keeping to himself as he finds social interaction awkward do to being childishly over-expressive, and despite being very mature he is shortness and child-ish habits often make people think he's younger than he actually is. He absolutely despises this though, and has come to hate being compared in anyway to a child or child-ish things, to the point that he even gets annoyed at others goofing off, or acting child-ish around him. Mamoru in contrast to his appearance is quite mature and often acting aloof and detaching himself from situations. Towards people he doesn't know he gives off a somewhat pretentious and cold attitude. This has caused to lose out on many relationships, which only helps to encourage his rather stand-off ish and asocial behavior. Despite having a very mature, and aloof attitude Mamoru has several very naive and innocent points about him that often endear him to others. Chief among these is his shyness around girls of his same age, and is easily embarrassed at even the slightest mention of something sexual. He also has a child-ish curiosity about the world, and if something odd grabs his attention he will fervently pursue more information on it. A very placid person, Mamoru tends to drift through life with no actually interest in anything going around him, but he can get really into things should they interest him. Despite often giving off a calm, and almost apathetic air, with a sufficient amount of duress Mamoru can be spurred into anger, which is often a shock to others due to his quiet demeanor.[/spoiler] [spoiler='History']Mamoru has lived a very normal life. Loving parents, a few friends here and there, going to school. All in all he's lead a painfully boring life, and that doesn't seem to bother him at all. He was bullied a bit during Junior High for his stature, but has since then moved on, and learned to ignored the biting remarks of a few blockhead classmates (as he calls them). All in all having led a very average, he was quite uncomfortable, to say the least, finding out that he would soon be apart of a killing game. His only real claim to fame would be his artistic ability. Gaining in interest in the subject during his middle school years Mamoru began attending many art programs, both in school and out of school. This has not only improved his artistic skill, but also gave him the opportunity to gain friendships, and improve his social skills. [/spoiler] [spoiler='Skills/Abilities']Artistic: Mamoru is a talented artist in many points of design be it painting, sculpting, metalworking, sewing, or just basic pen and pencil Mamoru has at least a basic grasp of almost all art forms. That being said despite being talented to an advanced level, he is still only a highschool student, and having spread his skills and time to so many different areas he's no master and still has flaws. Subcategory Note [Sewing/Metalworking]: Mamoru being a crafty squirt is very good at using limited materials when it comes to making things. He's good at incorporating everyday objects into his creations, and thus always has an eye out for something he could use in his next project. Above Average Intelligence: Mamoru's no Albert Einstein, but he's no dunce either, a straight A student years of hard work have made him slightly smarter than most people of his age. [/spoiler] Other: He really doesn't like people mentioning how short he is.... He uses his hands a lot when he speaks, and habit that he is unaware of[/spoiler] Quick question are these characters Japanese or not. I kinda went on that assumption b/c I'm a weeb, but after I started typing this I realized this might be an important question. Here it is, feel free to point out anything wrong with it. Admiral_Stalfos19
I'm sorry. I've been under a lot of stress today, and trying to get this bio worded right isn't helping at all. I've already done what I can for now though, and it's almost finished so that's something I guess. But I'll still need... idk, one or two hours to run it through my head again and get it on paper. Admiral_Stalfos19
Bio's complete now. Hopefully I've managed to get off the Asperger's vibe for Saori, cause that really doesn't work for what I was intending. Then again, the only major difference between Asperger's Syndrome and proper autism is that the former doesn't give the afflicted person a problem with early language development, which I did mention right in the first paragraph somewhere. I'll be happy to go into detail if I need to.

Peridank
-Name: Luke "Crow" Valentine -Age: 17 -Gender: Male -Appearance: [Spoiler=Me] H: 5'10" W: 155 lbs [/Spoiler] -Personality: Luke, or rather being Crow, is usually seen with a careless strait face. He tends to make jokes, (as an effort to get people to smile, and possibly like him) no matter the situation, in his monotone voice. Some to many of his "Jokes" can be rather disturbing. Even more when he laughs, he has a VERY eerie laugh. He tends to wonder off, but does not get lost to often. Crow has been diagnosed with a mild form of Schizophrenia. He does not hallucinate, but rather interprets many things differently then they really are. He has gothic taste, and tends to disobey many things of which he is asked/told to do. He is not a self harmer, but is known to cause fires; holes in walls; destroyed equipment; and hides many of things. His behaviors in general are still undiagnosed. -History: Since age 3 his parents, Katelyn and Mark Valentine, knew he wasn't acting like your average 3 year old. According to doctors, Luke Valentine was born legally insane. They managed to keep him in school until 4th grade, when Luke caused an electrical fire, using a cup of water from snack, and the projector. Luke fiddles with a lot of things, such as locks and electronic devices. Luke was nicknamed Crow by his psychologist. It sprouted from Luke's attire choices, and his habit of doing what he pleases. Luke tends to freak people out. Upon all his creepyness though... he never once had a homicidal thought. -Skills: Luke is intelligent, he knows how to make use of items, and how to make them useless. He can be very intimidating to share a room with. Luke is hard to predict considering he is legally insane. He has a very observant eye, and pays close attention to every detail, very much like OCD. -Other: He has a habit of simply watching people, perhaps stalking them, in a way to grow closer to them. Avoids many questions that you may ask of him, scared that you will use his feelings against him. Family is from England. Has habits of throwing "silent" fits when displeased,
(GigaDrillBreaker)
I will look over the character more thoroughly when I get home and can use my laptop, but already I have two points in regards to it: 1.) Don't use attached images. Upload the image to a hosting site such as imgur, then copy-paste the provided BBCode link. 2.) We already have one psychopath (arguably 3) so another almost seems stale. I understand that psychos are fun, but these are supposed to be average teens, and it really isn't a common condition.

(GigaDrillBreaker)
Frankly, if that is the intended effect, mental illness isn't even necessary. Many a mentally stable individual can fill the role of wildcard. I think I get where you are going with this, and I love the direction, it is just the means that I am finding iffy.
