Alice Moonflowyr
So, I've been playing BW Midrange in standard for a bit now, and seeing the stuff in Khans has made me convinced that a BW Token shell with a crapload of removal in it is gonna be a thing. So here's my take on it. Basic Shell 4 Herald of Anafenza 3 Brimaz, King of Oreskos 3 Wingmate Roc 2 Elspeth, Sun's Champion 2 Sorin, Solemn Visitor Removal Package 4 Hero's Downfall 4 Utter End 3 Banishing Light 2 End Hostilities Other Cards 2 Liliana Vess 4 Nyx Fleece Ram 1 Athreos, God of Passage 2 Whip of Erebos Land 4 Temple of Silence 4 Caves of Koilos X Fetchlands 16-X Basic Lands Basic idea of the deck is to use Herald, Brimaz, and Ram to set up a solid early game with Roc, Elspeth, and Sorin helping for the mid to late game. Lots of token generators means I have lots of armies. I do die to both Drown in Sorrow and Anger of the Gods, but my token makers usually don't. Elspeth, Brimaz, and a Herald that I've used twice all evade those, along with Roc. And Sorin and Elspeth don't give a fuck about Anger/Drown. The sideboard would look something like this: 3 Stain the Mind 1 Heliod 3 Bile Blight 1 Cranial Archive 3 Erase 4 Thoughtseize The Thoughtseize could go MB, but I don't really know yet. Will need to test.
Alice Moonflowyr
Updated List: Going for a more 'completely decimate their cards' strat and then play my threats as I get them. (GigaDrillBreaker)
With this land base, how easy is it to hit WW turn 3 for Simba? Urborg makes bile blight seem easy enough turn 2.
Poc
With urborg you can cut back on one or two basic swamps and change them for plains. If your plan is to drop Brimaz on t3 you need the white mana more than the black.
Alice Moonflowyr
Good idea, will do so. Also, it's pretty easy to drop a t3 Brimaz with this deck.
