Who's Your Spirit Pokemon?!

Have you ever sat around pondering the depths of your soul? And just maybe in the midst of said pondering you got to asking yourself some interesting questions. This might be a bit of a stretch but has it ever led to the question: If I were a pokemon which one would I really be? Not what I want but what really would I be?

...

You haven't? Wait, seriously? That's not a commonly asked question? You're not honestly trying to tell me that people have better things to do than sit around and think about who their own spirit pokemon is are you?

This is absurd! Clearly any true fan of pokemon would want to know such a thing for himself or herself.

But for those of you out there who perhaps haven't yet arrived at an existential quandary of sufficient magnitude to inspire the truly thought provoking questions of ones soul here's an easier way to figure things out.

Yes, you can find out right here and right now who the pokemon of your soul is. Which one truly embodies you and what you are? Keep in mind that our own personal pokemon preferences do not reveal the truth about ourselves. Indeed, only one force known to man is capable of revealing the hidden truth a human soul relative to their pokemon counterparts.

And this force of course is THE RNG GODDESS.

Yes, only the power of randomly generated numbers could ever hope to tell us the truth about ourselves.

So really this little adventure into our souls is quite simple. You first must find a random number generator. (I linked to one with the RNG goddess text). Now I know I said our own preferences can't tell us the truth about things but I will admit it would not be exciting in the least to find your Spirit Pokemon was one from a generation you knew next to nothing about. So if you desire you may restrict the possible numbers according to the generations you are familiar with. Otherwise you should restrict the upper limit on the generator to 719, the current number of pokemon.

Once you have decided what range your number is to be created from you must hit the button or whatever on whatever random number place you're at. But here's where the stress comes in. The first number you are given is the number of your spirit pokemon. Yes, one chance for the RNG Godess to make or break your dreams of a being a legendary if you had such fantasies.

And there you have it. The almighty RNG Goddess will have spoken her mind concerning you and your Spirit Pokemon. The point then of this thread would be to post what your result was and your reaction to said result.

My number was 229 so I'll let those of you who know me go figure out which one that was and figure out what my reaction to it might be.

Here's the list of pokemon and their number for your convenience: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon

Good luck and have fun embracing (or maybe rejecting though that would be sad) the pokemon inside of you!

[spoiler=Additional Ideas]

1.) Spirit Pokemon by Generation:

So obviously the first number you get spanning the generations you're familiar with represents your true Spirit Pokemon. But many in this thread have been interested in their results by generation. In order to do this you need to restrict the random number generator to only those numbers of each generation.

Gen 1: 1-151

Gen 2: 2-251

Gen 3: 252-386

Gen 4: 387-493

Gen 5: 494-649

Gen 6: 650-719

2.) RNG Matchmaker:

As we've discussed the RNG Goddess is quite the powerful force. So of course it would follow she'd know some things regarding your relationships with other people. However she can only communicate to us by giving us random numbers. So go ahead and ask her for numbers that represent the spirit pokemon of:

-Someone who could be a good friend

-Someone who could be a bad friend

-Someone who could be your lover

-Someone who could be your enemy

-Someone who could be that casual acquaintance of yours that you don't really know very well but you talk to on a semi-regular basis and still never get anywhere in terms of developing a real friendship.

There are of course many other such questions you could ask. Now of course these numbers would not correspond to people you already know. Their numbers for their spirit pokemon and your numbers for them would not necessarily coincide. So these are more predictions. So if you were to get a number for someone who could be a good friend and you got one, this means if you meet someone whose spirit pokemon is Bulbasaur then the RNG Goddess thinks you could be good friends. Now of course they might not get your spirit pokemon for asking the same question. But hey love and friendship are tricky subjects and the RNG Goddess has to have a little fun sometimes.

3.) RNG Fortune Telling:

Spirit Pokemon don't necessarily have to just represent people. You can ask the RNG Goddess anything you might care to know about the future and she of course would answer by giving you a number. You can then take the corresponding pokemon and you'll have Her answer. Now of course She can't give you an interpretation as she could only give you random numbers. So this is where you come in. Take your answer to your question and give us your best shot at interpreting! Simple example would be asking what's in your near future and you get absol. This could of course mean a natural disaster is in your near future but who knows you might interpret it differently. Give it your best shot, it's just your future we're talking about so no stress.

#99: Kingler

... Bullshit, it's Litwick or Pumpkaboo.

Well you can take this complaint up with the RNG Goddess and I'm sure she'd be willing to work something out with you. Maybe in your negotiations you can try to get her to stop stat-screwing people's Fire Emblem characters as well. (One can dream) Or you can embrace being an enormous crab that can crush like anything. However you like it.

#59: Arcanine. I am fine with this.

I thought it would be something like Jinx.

A fellow canine!

134. Vaporeon. I do not mind this at all.

I kinda expected to get Miltank though, not gonna lie.

Edit: So many Gen 1 Pokemon. Interesting.

Yes I would have expected Miltank or Tauros as our two cow like options. But the RNG Godess has spoken that you are some weird mermaid fox thing. Yay for you!

FEAR ME

See the RNG Goddess really does know all. Since Black is Kingler he can go have an underwater home with Caeda who can make all sorts of crazy storms happen if anyone tries to bug them.

#612; Haxorus.

Well, at least it's a Dragon-Type. (Should've been Latias, but w/e)

Going by specific generations.

Gen 1: #006 - Charizard (yay)

Gen 2: #245 - Suicune (OK, though Raikou fits me better)

Gen 3: #257 - Blaziken (Yeah, this probably fits. Remind me to start using the one in box [and choose it in Alpha Sapphire].)

Gen 4: #484 - Palkia (Seems legit)

Gen 5: #589 - Escavalier (I'm not slow like this thing)

Gen 6: #698 - Amaura (meh)

….

….

This is why I hate Pokemon ^^

Restricting to Gen 1, I got...

Cleffa.

….

….

Including through Gen 2….
Sentret.

Why. Why me?

Gen 3?

Ekans.

Godangit, stop.

Gen 4.

Weepinbell. FREAKING DANGIT.

Gen 5.

(This is where I start not knowing all of them because I like Gen 5 and 6 the least)

Groundon. Solid. 1/6 tries gets me something I actually like.

Gen 6.

Technically already did this one, it was the first.

Godangit, my luck is awful. Can't even get one evolved form and I'm stuck in Gen 1-2 most of the time. It's not being restricted to the best generations, but...

I'm not a Sentret or a Cleffa .~.
EDIT: Or any of these things.
