We don't mind seeing Pokemon cards in this section, but it's recommended that you put more thought into the cards.

Essentially, the regular Pokes are vanilla monsters, which aren't bad by any means, but they don't showcase their abilities in the anime/games very well in Yugioh form. They make good vanilla beatsticks in the early game, though.

Same goes for the Mega Evolutions; basically more specific Tribute Summon monsters (but they have higher ATK/DEF stats than average monsters of equivalent Level). Kangaskhan is the exception, since you did incorporate Parental Bond to some degree. To be honest, I don't recall any Tribute Summon in the real game mandate a specific monster; we do have Attribute-restricted ones, but those are usually generic. I'll rewrite Mega Kangaskhan's effect in PSCT, so others can understand. (If you read this section's rules, you always need to post the lore underneath, so it's easier for members to read).

"This card must be Tribute Summoned by tributing a "Kangaskhan" you control. This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. When this card makes a second attack, any battle damage this card inflicts is halved."

In terms of Mega Absol, you could have it reflect its Magic Bounce ability (or something to make it stand out) as it's essentially a restrictive Tribute monster.

Same goes for Mega Aero with Tough Claws.

Personally, I would just raise their Levels to 7-8 and just have them be Special Summon monsters instead (by Tributing their base form); since 2600/2000 (2300) is quite high on a Level 6 monster. The only catch though; you can't SS them on the turn you get the base form out.

There are a few examples of Pokemon cards in this section, designed after possible movesets or their abilities in the games/anime/manga. Some are by the member ems97 and a few of the are done by me; you can just scan the active threads in this section for ideas. In a nutshell, try designing Pokemon cards based on what they are capable of doing in the console games or have done in the anime/manga, etc.

I'm about to do something stupid, and release some Synchro Monsters! I have never made any before, so can somebody please tell me if I'm doing them right?

NOTE: I will not put these images on the top post until someone informs me if this is the correct way to do Synchro monsters.

Try not to multiple post, even with updates.

As for the Primal Synchros, you followed the mechanic properly. For the regular Kyogre/Groudon, they essentially Special Summon the non-Tuner component needed for their Primal forms. Personally, I think Kyogre/Groudon should just be regular monsters; since there are a decent amount of Level 2 WATER Tuners (for Kyogre) or EARTH/FIRE for Groudon; it also makes them a bit easier to summon than getting a Level 2 non-Tuner (Some Decks can do it, though). Might be better if you make the Primals Level 10; more options and given their stats, Level 10 better suits them.

Kyogre's effect is essentially a pump for WATER monsters, which is pretty much used to sweep the opponent's field and win for game [especially combined with the general bosses running around]. Groudon currently lacks an effect, but presumably something similar (you need to fix this).

Not going to comment on the Mega Hera right now; may do it later. As for spoiler tags, I don't know; they act up at times. Just put
content
and the card's name above spoiler w/out putting them in tag.

 • 5 weeks later...

The same statement can be said for Kyogre.

Both of them are solid attackers, yes, but hopefully you realize by now that they can easily fall to common cards such as 101 (being stolen for Xyz Material), Exciton / Dark Hole / Raigeki (flat out killed), Breakthrough Skill (essentially neutered as vanillas) and some other things. Considering the effort needed to get both of them out in the first place, some form of protection effect would help them survive.

Speaking of Primal Groudon, it requires the original one (which is still a Tuner) AND another Tuner. I would advise you either change Groudon to be a regular Effect Monster or change the requirement on Primal to " 1 FIRE or EARTH Tuner + "Groudon" "; probably the former since you did the same with Kyogre. Effect-wise, I could probably see it recycling its materials or something; or in Decks that need to return stuff in the Graveyard; that's about it though.

As for regular Kangaskhan, lower its ATK to 1900. Even if it is a Vanilla, it's still a free 2100 beatstick without drawbacks. Either that, or raise Level to 5-6.
