For me it looks a little too simple, colours feel a little all over the show. If I was working on it I'd say it's still unfinished.

Bit more work and you could make it look really nice, good start though, keep making stuff and get back into it.

Thanks. You're right, it's missing something as of now, but this was one of those where whatever I added, took away from the flow. I'll have to try a few more permutations before anything really works for me, it seems. Love the tag in your sig by the way.

Hey man if you don't find anything that feels right just start again until you hit a concept that works for you. There's a lot of potential for tags that have a space theme.

And thanks! Made it two years ago now, if I ever get round to finding the PSD I'll share it out!

Not made a tag, or even touched Photoshop, in a hell of a long time, so I'm rustier than a 70s Alfa. CnC appreciated, but go easy.

YOOOOO PLAINEY MISSED YOU

Lighting is pretty cool, a bit strong but if you toned it down a bit and changed it around it could look great. With that render you could've done something really interesting with depth if you used something like C4D's or blurring in the right way. Atmo is ehhh, if you add some Gradient Maps over the final product it could change the whole feel of the tag. If you emphasised a bit more on the red and blue of the tag the colours could be really cool. The stock in the background is pretty boring, it doesn't really add much to the tag itself. You had a cool concept you just need some work on your execution.
Get some resources for yourself, I'm sure you'll be able to make something a lot better IMO.
And work on your basics. BASIIIIIIIIICS

Always a fan of the double sided colors. As mentioned lighting is a bit heavy, kinda pulls him away instead of blends him in. As far as taking the colors further, desaturating things a bit so the contrast isn't too heavy could work, although I'm partial to stuff that's undersaturated haha.
