Spinny
Well then thats some removal you got going there for you... TBH i was expecting the Abzan Charm (or an abzan card) to do this but it makes sense for this to do it too. If it says Exile maybe there will be things that can avoid destruction? Who knows maybe its just meant to be an outright kill and we shouldnt assume too much. But other than that its pretty straight-forward.

Trebuchet MS
WotC policy of printing spot removal at rare is starting to anoy me quite a lot...>_> It's instant speed Vindicate 2.0. Why won't it be a rare?
Rodrigo
It's instant speed Vindicate 2.0. Why won't it be a rare? Â Because it's 4 mana, and Unmake, albeit more restrictive, was a common.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Well. That is a welcome answer to gods. Will be great in EDH as well. Can even answer Zurgo in the Mardu mirror.
Flame Dragon
Because it's 4 mana, and Unmake, albeit more restrictive, was a common.    1) They don't do that level of removal at common anymore.  2) This is much stronger than Unmake on account of it being able to hit anything.  3) When you compare this to Vindicate you add 1 mana to upgrade to instant speed and exile. Vindicate was a rare.  So yea, instant speed Vindicate that exiles. This is good.
Rodrigo
I didn't say this wasn't fine as it is nowadays. I'm agreeing with Daedalus in that removal used to be more common before, and I miss those days as well.

I'm agreeing with Daedalus in that removal used to be more common before, and I miss those days as well.  Your post kind of suggested that  you thought it wasn't. The simple fact is this would have always been a rare, regardless of when it was printed. And personally I'm fine with more restrictions on removal, because commons removal being super powerful (Doom Blade, Unmake) isn't the best imo. I just wish if they pulled back the power of removal, they would give us more.
Gokai-Red
I was speaking of removal in general thought, they seem to be justified by "This is too stronk unconditional removal", so they put stuff at rare...but they are making conditional removal crappier and crappier each set...like if they have lost it there. Â tl;dr: They should start making better yet balanced spot removal at Uncommon instead of giving us unconditional removal at rare for the sake of rare. Poc
Vindicate hits lands, this thing doesn't. At 4 and 2 colors mana its pretty expensive removal when banishing light does the exact same thing for 3 mana. But with most of the good removal from RtR rotating this might see play. Sixty
I would say it hits gods pretty well, but Deicide already exists... Definitely going into some EDH builds of mine, though.
