Dokutah
...with a slight grudge upon xyz-monsters. Active by sending 1 Spell card on your field. This card Activation cannot be negated if you sending "Burden of the Mighty" to Active this card. Each monster your opponent controls have its ATK reduced x its own Level/Rank. The reduction amount begins at 100 and is doubled for each of non-Xyz monster you control. CnC Welcome
Atypical-Abbie
Ok, this card's text is horrible. Straight out, I could barely even understand it. The card itself, well, it's a decent enough Burden of the Mighty replacement since it hits Xyz Monsters, the boost is also good as well, even if quite strange. It does have the problem with requiring a Spell Card on your field, though that is a decent enough cost for a pretty good effect if you use it right. Overall, not bad.' OCG fix as well. Not quite sure how to word the last part, but I tried something like Psychic Commander a little bit. Activate this card by sending 1 other Spell Card from your field to the Graveyard. If you sent "Burden of the Mighty", the activation of this card cannot be negated. Monsters your opponent control lose ATK equal to its Level/Rank x 100 (in multiples of 100 equal to the number of non-Xyz Monsters you control.) Nightmare Stomper
This requires a lot of OCG work; it kind of made me think of those fake re-named and rewritten yugioh cards that hit the markets in 2002. How about we try a better approach to this? Now it has some protection, and the attack penalty is the same as burden of the mighty - of course, unless you sent it to the graveyard to activate this card. Fall or Decline of the Mighty ? The activation/effects of this card cannot be Negated. Activate only by sending 1 face-up Continuous (printed) Spell Card you control to the Graveyard. This card is unaffected by card effects that would not target and destroy it. All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK and DEF x their respective Levels/Ranks. If you activated this card by sending "Burden of the Mighty" to the Graveyard, during the battle phase, all monsters your opponent controls lose 200 ATK and DEF x the number of monsters you control. In that case, this should be the text: "Monsters your opponent control lose ATK equal to its Level/Rank x 100. This ATK loss begins at 100 and is doubled for each non-Xyz Monster you control. newhat
Rewriting the lore: Activate this card by sending 1 Spell Card from your field to the Graveyard; for each non-Xyz monster you control, each face-up monster your opponent controls loses 100 ATK x its own Level/Rank. If "Burden of the Mighty" was sent to activate this card, this card's activation cannot be negated. For a purely modular card that doesn't directly grant advantage, it's expensive and vulnerable to being blown up. Even if the Burden effect prevented it from being destroyed by card effects, it wouldn't have enough power to justify the investment.
Atypical-Abbie
Rewriting the lore: It was already explianed to work differnetly, also, your card makes the ATK loss only happen when the card first resolves, which is not suppose to be the case. Dokutah
okay...to summarize most of the current reviewer is already forgot or ignore the existence of either the "Burden of the Mighty" and "Dark Snake Syndrome"... i mean seriously... old cards are meant to be either rebooted and supported, not to be thrown away... This requires a lot of OCG work; it kind of made me think of those fake re-named and rewritten yugioh cards that hit the markets in 2002. How about we try a better approach to this? All monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK and DEF x their respective Levels/Ranks. So quasar would go to 2800 and then to 1800 during the Battle Phase only. Still really good, but not as cracked up as you hath made it out to be.
