Once per turn, if your opponent activates a card or effect that would remove a card(s) you control from the field, except by destroying them, while you control an Insect-Type monster: You can banish 1 Insect-Type monster from your Graveyard; cards you control cannot leave the field by that card's effect. Due to the wording, it does provide immunity to Evenly Matched- even though you are the one picking cards, that's still your opponent's card. However, it does require that you have at least 1 Insect each on the field and in the Graveyard, and you can't use it going first because you need to have fewer cards on board than your opponent. If you control an EARTH Fairy monster, you can send that Fairy monster used to activate this effect from your Extra Deck, instead. While you control "Winner's Circle of the True Olympians" this card can attack directly, it cannot be targeted for attacks, also your opponent cannot target it with card effects.
