Agro
I'm going to get a little bit heated here and I apologize. Coins, supposedly, make your Kart faster.Because they totally didn't get that idea off CTR They got it off of Super Mario Kart on the SNES. (or was it Super Circuit...?)Also Nintendo typically loves Fake Difficulty, so expect things at random to be the deciding factor, despite how idiotic it is.Except there's not really any fake difficulty in Super Mario, Donkey Kong Country, Metroid, Kid Icarus, and any other franchise that is not Mario Kart and Mario Party (and smash with items on) :\ And ironically, at the same time, it's also a method of balance.Since if everyone was the same character/vehicle, no items, etc, then the tryhard controller-raping pros would snake their way into winning every race, and it would discourage newer players.BUT..... Because of the chaotic nature of everything being random-as-f***, you get Blue Shells out of nowhere deliberately robbing people of wins.'Course, the trade-off with that, is literally the fact it's purely random, so as such, it typically boils down to who got what item at what time, and did what with it, that resulted in X getting Y place. There's literally nothing wrong with someone playing a game well by knowing how the mechanics all work though... You can call them tryhards, but that's really just something people say when they get angry that there are people better than them at something :\ :/  Losing because someone is outplaying you is an infinitely better feeling than losing because bullshit happened at the last second. If Mario Kart weren't so damn fun to play, it would suffer a lot more from that. And the thing is, if you know how to match-make in any reasonable way, you won't have those REALLY REALLY good players going up against newbies anyway. Also snaking hasn't been an all-important thing for multiple games. You only really snake when the track winds
Nicο
I have no idea if a course from Diddy Kong Racing would fit (haven't played it) but with what's been going on, maybe they can do something based on it when/if Diddy comes back. Also, he was Pastry's main in Wii.
Shradow
Can the next Nintendo racing game just be a Super Smash Kart?
Thar
Can the next Nintendo racing game just be a Super Smash Kart? The hype for Final Smash items will be tremendous.
Agro
They basically had final smash items in Double Dash, just do that again. I think they should keep it as only Mario Kart, and have a large majority of the racers be from Mario games, but have guests like they're doing with Link and the Animal Crossing dudes, except more of them. Tentacruel
Can the next Nintendo racing game just be a Super Smash Kart? No, and I'll tell you why. It would sell less. Mario Kart is a monolithic brand. Everybody wants dat Mario Kart. Your grandma knows what MK is. Smash Kart? Eh. Nintendo fans would buy it but... Shradow
Smash Kart? Eh. Nintendo fans would buy it but... No, and I'll tell you why. It was a joke. It obviously won't be a thing. Stop being so serious.

If Mario Kart weren't so damn fun to play, it would suffer a lot more from that.Oh, you know I was joking about the tryhard thing. But still, my point remains that they wanted it to, basically, force everyone to be at the same level, if only because, again, randomness of items/etc typically governs the game.Hell, all, if not, most racings games are all determined by who got what on what lap. And more often then not, only the last lap matters. And it honestly is stupid on all points, but ironically it cannot be helped.....'Course you could organize a race with some people and make them promise to not use items.I'm a Yoshi player.More or less, same.It obviously won't be a thing.*shot several times*

DL
No, it wouldn't be Smash kart. It'd be Nintendo Kart. Kind of like Sega Tennis. or Sega All-Stars Racing. Regardless, I am SO Toad. I will always be Toad XD And yeah, the DLC is some cool shit, for a nice price. The yoshi and shyguy colors are even cooler. Also Im gonna main Villager in this too. Toffee.
Excite Bike isn't Baby Park, you know... Although, judging by the trailer, the booster pads give you, like, massive speed boosts. So hurray for accuracy! =D

Toffee.
Metaphors How do they work?*shot several times*But seriously, though... Potentially stronger boost pads seems quite hilarious, if only because of potential shortcuts and otherwise shenanigans.
Thar
First pack just came out. Beat the Yoshi cup on 50cc and currently on the Triforce cup. So far, I'm not disappointed. Then again... when HAVE I been? Also, it's pretty cute that Link's stunt moves are of him swinging his sword. F-Zero track is pretty badass as well as the Dragon-esque stage before it. All the next-gen renditions of previous games' tracks look amazing as well. REALLY looking forward to running through Hyrule Castle track. EDIT: OH. MY. GOD. THE COINS IN THE HYRULE CIRCUIT ARE RUPEES. THE "PIRANHA PLANTS" ARE DEKU PLANTS AND THE ITEM ROULETTE SOUND IS BASED OFF THE CHEST MUSIC. This couldn't be any more perfect. Only thing I'm gonna complain about is the Grand Prix trophies. They're both just generic, squarish cups with the prix logo slapped on, which just doesn't fit with the others. I'm hoping they can patch that, but other than that, I'm more than satisfied.
