~British Soul~
I definitely want to pick up the LoZ DLC that's for sure.
Thar
I definitely want to pick up the LoZ DLC that's for sure. For sure. I pre-ordered both packs and I'm pumped for both of them. Best thing about them is the new tracks. 64 in total, if I'm not mistaken. That's a lot of new content to explore. :D
Nicο
I'll definitely be preordering when I get the chance, but since I gotta get the good update stuff today anyway, I may as well get today's DLC since it's free. Don't really care for it, except the Silver Arrow almost looks cool in this. The courses are actually 16 in total. Still, I'm glad they're actually doing more courses, and that's pretty much enough for me until they may add more anyway.

~British Soul~
For sure. I pre-ordered both packs and I'm pumped for both of them. I'm more pumped for the LoZ DLC as opposed to the Animal Crossing DLC tbh.
Toffee.
You forgot to mention that if you pre-order the DLCs, you get rainbow Yoshis and Shy-Guys
Nicο
Holy cow I've never seen that before. Actually scared me a bit because I wasn't expecting Bowser to come on screen first thing and hell liek the monster he really should be (but isn't). Um, yeah. While I still need to actually try an Animal Crossing game, I really, really do, I'm still excited for the courses and stuff. Shouldn't really be saying that since I also need to finally beat a Zelda game, but them characters are really cool in Smash Bros. and well yeah. Agro
Characters: Pack 1: Link; Cat-Suit Peach, Tanooki-Suit Mario | Pack 2: Villager; Isabelle; Dry Bowser Known Tracks: Animal Crossing Track (may be multiple, as there's a dirt segment and pavement segment shown) , Zelda Skyward Sword Tree Track, F-Zero Big Blue (looks like Big Blue, possibly Mute City) Track, Wario's Goldmine. You can bet that there are 8 new tracks and 8 retro tracks. There's a new-looking track in the bottom left-hand corner of this image: There are also 8 new karts, including the Blue Falcon as shown above, and if we're lucky, an Epona car. Also a Tom Nook car so we can say the Villager killed him and turned him into a car. And as mentioned, if you preorder, you get 8 colors for Yoshi and Shy Guy. Though, I think you get them either way and preordering just means you get to use them IMMEDIATELY. Also, I wasn't aware that it had been announced for the US, as the $12 was pound to dollar rate, which is usually higher than the US dollar price. Shradow
That's a heck of a lot of awesomeness for $12, I'll definitely be getting the bundle. Can't wait.
Agro
That's a heck of a lot of awesomeness for $12, I'll definitely be getting the bundle. Can't wait. Note that it is $12 each. One gets you 3 characters, 4 karts, and 8 tracks.
Shradow
The bundle is $12 (plus tax), I just bought it. The F-Zero track looks like Mute City, and it looks like there's also an Excitebike course, that's pretty sweet.
Agro
Oh, I thought those were Prixs instead of single tracks. There are going to be 4 new grand prixs total. The bundle is $12 (plus tax), I just bought it. The whole thing shouldn't be $12. :o EDIT: Oh didn't hear about the NA confirmation. That's a really REALLY good deal. You're basically getting half a game for a sixth of the price.
Shradow
Nintendo DLC is awesome. EDIT: Holy crap they changed the Next Race button to be default instead of View Highlight Reel. Literally the only problem I had with MK8.
Lonk
I shamefully pre-ordered the DLC. I have no regrets.
Tentacruel
Now they just need to stop being plebs and make some proper battle mode maps.
Agro
I still keep getting shafted in online multiplayer.EDIT: Holy crap they changed the Next Race button to be default instead of View Highlight Reel. Literally the only problem I had with MK8.Also the map can be put on the main screen by pressing - and it stays that way as default if you switch it on (at least until you stop playing from what I could tell). Now they just need to stop being plebs and make some proper battle mode maps. And offer multiplayer modes without the Blue Shell and one with only green shells and bananas. And let the gamepad act as a rear-view mirror. Little things.
Nicο
I'm fine with the items there are (well, besides the Blue Shell. nobody lieks the Blue Shell), they are just not balanced properly AT ALL. Still loads of fun somehow. Can't you make a tournament with only certain kinds of items?

Thar
One of these days, a Mario Kart game should give players complete control over what items appear. Confirmed, all players in first get rear-set traps. Confirmed, all players in second to last get homing items and boosts. ...owait, that's already a thing. Agro
One of these days, a Mario Kart game should give players complete control over what items appear.....Or at least, in Battle Mode. The problem is that you can't do that in online with randos. Having the option of entering into specific lobbies for like Frenzy or Barebones or whatever would be great. Also, like Ene said, item balancing in this game is dreadful. I'm in 5th and get a coin. Person in 4th right next to me gets a Power Star. How is that fair?

Person in 4th right next to me gets a Power Star. How is that fair?Coins, supposedly, make your Kart faster.Because they totally didn't get that idea off CTRAlso Nintendo typically loves Fake Difficulty, so expect things at random to be the deciding factor, despite how idiotic it is.And ironically, at the same time, it's also a method of balance.Since if everyone was the same character/vehicle, no items, etc, then the tryhard controller-raping pros would snake their way into winning every race, and it would discourage newer players.BUT..... Because of the chaotic nature of everything being random-as-fuck, you get Blue Shells out of nowhere deliberately robbing people of wins.'Course, the trade-off with that, is literally the fact it's purely random, so as such, it typically boils down to who got what item at what time, and did what with it, that resulted in X getting Y place.
