Most sprite oriented tags work best with a low height dimension and long width, it's very rare to execute a sprite tag well on a larger canvas as it's just more difficult and unappealing, generally. The biggest issue with the piece is that some of the effects are good and others need to be scrapped. Generally if my end product looked something like this I'd crop the canvas, erase the bad fx and replicate the good ones around to make it work.
