While I didn't care at all for the story half, I had fun watching the first half. Also the summer thing limited my choices. My only other recommendation that I thought suited the summer theme would have been Aria the Animation (and Ano Natsu de Matteru, but I only thought of that later, idk how I managed to forget an anime called Waiting in the Summer). There's also Ghost in the Shell and Legend of the Galactic Heroes which are up there, but I'm not even done watching the entirety of them yet. It's been too long since I've seen Code Geass to call it one of my favourites... I have little recollection of it left. Favourite characters... Lelouch, though it's been a while, then there's Claire Stanfield from Baccano! and Oshino Shinobu. After that, either Rider from Fate/Zero or Togame from Katanagatari.
