You've seen fighting games right? There's always a copy character...hence why I said cop out. ^^;

Aren't most copy characters along the lines of Sethor Double? Like they just take bits and pieces of moves form other character. Ditto can'y really do that since his transformations are locked into whats in front of him. Though I GUESS they could stretch it to work like that.

Not really from what I know. They tend to be exact copies. And/or randomize what movesets they use from everything on the roster.

Still. I really don't want Ditto.

There's actually very rarely copy characters any more because most companies realize that people don't like them. Only series that continues to do them to my knowledge is the Soulcalibur/Soulblade and Tekken and even then look where that got them lmao

#TeamDruddigon tho, would be awesome to have him

I suppose I should say they're in the things I play mostly. XD

Also of the list I'd want...One of the Nidos, Wigglytuff, Muk, Flygon, Gliscor, Cofagrigus, Reuniclous, Galvantula, Eelektross, Hydreigon, Chesnaught, or Sylveon

Just cause these are the ones I'd think would be able to work but be interesting.

Then, pray tell, who does deserve it? Because Sceptile has long been one of the more popular Pokemon in the series and a lot of people have been wanting him in both this and Smash Bros.

The thing with fighting games is that if one character gets in, it's not like they're taking the slot of another potential character (aside from things like how they wouldn't put in two Pokemon from the same evolutionary line). That's not how it works. The whole argument of roster slots in fighting games is basically false dichotomy. Sceptile getting in doesn't suggest the exclusion of anyone else.

In the end, whoever you think is more deserving, if they didn't get in it's not because a Pokemon like Sceptile of Pikachu Libre got in over them. At least, I highly doubt it. I'm pretty sure the developers didn't go in with the mindset, "Ok, because Sceptile is in, so-and-so can't be included."

Popularity does not equal a good character. Dan Hibiki is a popular character, but all he amounts to is a weak shotoclone. (I love Dan, btw, just his fighting style... It adds another shotoclone.) Golurk would have been more interesting choice and been a gen 5 pokemon, something the game is missing as a playable character. Scizor would have been great to have as well.

Character slots are quite so an argument to be had. Games have a finite amount of memory and hardware to use while companies have finite time and money to spend on delevopment. If a character didn't make it in, it very well could be because money and time was spent on characters like Sceptile and Pikachu Libre.

I will admit to your point that just because Sceptile is in does not mean others are out. Also, my post was filled with enough salt to fill the oceans. I shouldn't have said "does not deserve", I should have said "I believe gen 3 is overhyped and in my opinion, another pokemon should have made it in."

Personally, Gen 3 is my least favorite, and Golurk is actually my favorite Pokemon and I would've loved it to be in, so I find it humorous that was one of your examples.

And obviously the game has a finite number of characters that can get in, I'm not arguing against that. I'm saying that someone's presence doesn't mean someone else got kicked out for it.

Plus, I'd hold back on saying he's a good or bad character until we actually see some gameplay of him.
