Underneath his 'clothes', which is just as much a part of him as the body itself, he hides all the scars he's obtained in his life, and due to the PokeX virus, he's got a lot. The external scars that should have been on his face and the back of his hands he also still has, though he has moved them to either lesser-damaged parts of his chest and back and higher up on his arms. He's also about 6'4" and weighs at an average of 200-205lbs, which means that if he ends up tackling you, the one being tackled will be hurting. During the moments that he does end up giving a toothy grin, you can see that his incisors on both the top and bottom rows are enlonged enough to be considered fangs, though he can keep them hidden from view when closed. The uncut gem he wears in the form of a necklace is from the Tree of Beginning and still glows faintly with its light, even after being separated from it so long. Though it is hidden from view, he also wears yellow dress shoes with black socks.

Personality: His enlonged life has worn down on his natural joviality. While he can still laugh, it often sounds strained, like he can no longer put his whole heart into it anymore. Due to constantly battling insanity, he often seems guarded, even afraid to let anyone get too close to his heart, even the many Pokemon he adopts and trains before releasing them again into the wild once they've grown and become strong enough to handle themselves. Despite how long he's lived, he still has many moments when he pulls something considered inappropriate among humans to try and make another feel better about themselves, such as randomly giving someone a hug that could really use one. His age makes him wise among both humans and shorter-lived Pokemon, though he knows there are those wiser than him. It also angers him when he sees Pokemon being used as nothing more than breeding tools to achieve 'weaponized perfection' as he calls it, since that's what his race especially had been used by a lot of humans as for a while. He does really try to fit in with human society, but sometimes he still feels alone in the many crowds...

[spoiler= Backstory (Warning, this is long, since I'm having to explain his age.)] His particular patron is more than that, the Mew he acts as a shield for is the same one that raised him. His first memories was him becoming aware of his surroundings within the Tree of Beginning at the start of his life, with Mew, or Mistress Mew as he calls her, floating over him to make sure he was alright. With her help, he gotten a handle of his natural transformation abilities, though things changed soon after he turned 4 years old, in human terms.

The Tree started falling apart, he wasn't sure why. All he knew was that he had to get out, but his panic caused him to get lost, leading him to the heart of the Tree. Because of this, he saw a human put on a pair of strange gloves with gems embedded into it before starting to strain himself from focus. A blue orb of energy emerged in front of him before surrounding Mistress Mew, who flew into the core and restored sanity to the Tree, though the human who had made it possible died in the effort.

Wishing to honor the human, the young Ditto decided to take on his form, though he chose his own human name. After finally perfecting it as much as he was able, he began traveling the human world to learn more about it, eventually running into a group of Pokemon that went by the name of Rescue Team Starseeker. Using a Pokedex the leader of the group had found with the aid of an allied Porygon-Z, Neos was able to get himself a 'dex that would oddly register him as a legitimate trainer, despite the quirk that the Porygon-Z left in said 'dex that prevents him from ever being able to hold a whole team at once... When the team had to enter human territories to fulfill a mission, Neos wound up playing the role of the team's 'trainer', though he was rather-uncomfortable with such a title at first. Fortunately, the number of times he did have to use his 'dex to enter official tournaments have left a permanent mark on the system, making him an official trainer, though he was never human to begin with. Ten years of this passed before the last of the Starseekers finally passed on outside of the Deoxys on the team who just left Earth, leaving Neos alone for the time being.

Lost upon the path he set for himself, Neos returned to the Tree of Beginning, hoping to seek advice from the Mew he viewed as his 'mother', though the title he refers to her by would suggest otherwise to those who didn't know the two. Her advice was simple: Pay it forward, do for others that she had done for him. Remembering that she took him in as a newborn almost, he started doing the same, taking in and caring for any orphaned Pokemon that came across on his own journey, caring for them like the parent they may have never had.

After he turned 24 human years old, not long after he managed to get himself a job as a Pokemon Ranger, the PokeX virus infected the false human during a mission, inflicting a terrible amount of insanity within him that caused him to randomly strike out at nearby humans and Pokemon in his human form, even sometimes killing them. During one of these insanity outbursts, he wound up being pinned down and arrested by a group of Officer Jennys, almost ripping one of their legs with his fanged teeth as they did. The Jenny to whom this almost happened to saw the fangs and suggested they got him admitted to a hospital for possible madness. Another Jenny, whom was a survivor of a PokeX attack, realized that he was acting like a Pokemon infected by the virus after the suggestion of the hospital was brought up, so she pulled out one of several tranquilizer darts she has carried on her since. She not-too-politely jammed it into his arm and injected the liquid into him, which forced him into a deep slumber. He had long trained himself to keep human form when falling asleep, even in situations when he'd be forced into sleep, so he didn't demorph in their grips.

However, he wasn't expecting to wake up in the Pokemon Center with Chanseys and Blisseys as well as Pokemon Nurses and human doctors moving around him as he laid in a virus containment area in addition to an IV needle hooked up to a saline drip, especially while in his human form. He entered into a panic and began screaming for answers as to where he was and why he was there before one of many Nurse Joys and a doctor approached him and tried answering his questions, revealing that the people working on his particular case all know that he's not human but a Pokemon in disguise as they did. After begging the humans not to let anyone tell others about him with tears in his eyes, eyes which had been slowly changing from the deep-blue they once were to a neon-green with dark-green pupils due to the virus, they agreed to ease his nerves as a Nurse quietly attached a drug to the drip that caused him to fall back to sleep...

The human-morphed Ditto's containment probably had a small hand in helping to eliminate the PokeX virus in at least the local area, since the virus found itself fighting to infect two different kinds of DNA at the same time, confusing the virus inside him along with the experimental drugs they were injecting into him for both humans and Pokemon during his forced slumber. However, one of the drugs had an unexpected effect on him.

He finally woke up in unchained, blinding rage, destroying the now-unknown town like a beast possessed by a demon. When he finally came to full awareness of his surroundings and saw the blood and bodies on the streets of humans and Pokemon of all ages alongside the collapsed buildings in addition to his ravaged, bleeding body and his near-lack of clothing along with the wet red blood in his fingernails and in his mouth...

...overwhelmed with grief and disgust with himself, he tried to kill himself, painfully ripping through his throat with his own clawed nails before he wound up demorphing and passing out in the middle of the long-lost town.

He awoke a few days later, still in the same place and surrounded with dried blood, both yellow and red, while he had appeared to fully heal despite the need for subsistence beginning to creep in. He saw that his coloration in his original form had changed as well, from the normal Ditto color to that of a golden coloration. There had been no evidence of anyone coming into the town since he had done the horrible act, allowing him to hesitantly take on his human form again and sit down kneeling where he was, praying to Arceus that he would be forgiven for all he had done, whatever they may have been.

Ever since, he has watched the world rebuild itself in one way or another from the many dangers that surfaced soon after, ranging from the world-reshaping to the many hunters that tried to come after his 'mother' to the many dangers still left unmentioned as he secretly tries to improve other lives at a distance...even as he constantly battles the permanently-embedded insanity he keeps caged in the back of his mind...[/spoiler]

~Genetic Shapeshifting: While Neos has taken a human form for over decades now, he still is a Ditto in mind, body and soul. Because of this, he has never developed the nerve to take the final step and erase his ability to Transform. When in tournaments, he has managed to keep from having to enter the fray himself, for he knew he would have to surrender to keep his secret from the world or enter the battlefield himself and reveal to all the imposter that he is.
~Physical inability to die: This has become more of a curse for Neos than a blessing as time has passed and he can blame Team Rocket and their accursed PokeX virus for it. His body has stopped aging, due to how the virus mutated within him and attached itself to the various parts of his body in response to all the drugs that had been used on him to try and test out. The only way to kill him, which Neos would actually welcome at this point, is if something forced him to demorph then completely eradicate his body, like dropping him in quick-acting acid. Also, it is hypothesized by some people that the Ditto species have a form of immortality, since they can constantly rearrange their DNA to stay young, healthy and alive as well, which after quite a bit of thought does make sense...

~Untapped Aura: Partly because of the form he borrowed all those years ago, Neos does have potential to become a Aura Guardian himself, though he doesn't realize it. It's why the gem around his neck continues to glow even after being separated from the Tree of Beginning over a century ago...[/spoiler]

Things to Know:

~Neos has to keep his emotions in check, for certain ones help to fuel his caged insanity, especially anger. If you EVER see him suddenly drop to his knees with his hands to either side of his head...RUN!

~His insanity acts like a form of confusion in regards to Pokemon attacks, so anything that cures confusion that can be used on other Pokemon can help suppress it long enough for him to regain his senses.

~During the rare times he actually takes on a form other than his human one, there are two traits that can give him away. One of them is the fact that the skin of whatever he transforms into becomes slightly-tinted yellow, due to the fact that his blood stays yellow through transformations. The other is his eyes, which always stay neon-green with dark-green irises. The PokeX virus damaged the DNA used to handle eyes, which made this a permanent trait for him no matter what appearance he takes.[/spoiler]

 

 

I have to say that originally I was a little wary of a character like this, but it is actually quite an interesting character you've got here. Accepted

*breaths a really-big sigh of relief before flopping onto the bed* Well, that's a weight off my chest. I was really worried it wouldn't fly at all because of his origin species...and I've had some GMs on other forums look at the fact that my character is an altered version of what they expected and go 'nope' before even reading the whole thing.

 

Which makes you a cool GM for at least giving the Ditto a shot.

She wears a pair of charcoal grey leggings and black high-top sneakers. The only accessories she wears is her headband and necklace. Secret doesn't stand out in a crowd and is an easily forgotten sight.

Secret, as her name suggests, is quite secretive and there is literally no one out there that has ever heard of her. Strangely, she seems to seek company but doesn't stay around the people for long. Often, no one notices when she leaves and only upon chancing upon her again will people remember that they've ever even met her. 

 

Secret is incredibly self-loathing and has an incredibly low image of herself(psychologically).

Areo stands at 5' 8", and has a slim figure, yet toned. He has somewhat tan skin, smooth red hair, dark-green eyes, and while his face looks cute and young, it has that undeniable look of experience. He wears an outfit that he based on the former dark-grey Moon Dorm uniform, with silver trims, a long coattail, and strangely enough, with a hoodie as well. Faster than the average human, his body is light and his feet capable of keeping up even with a Pokemon., and his Pokeballs - stylized black and white - weigh almost nothing at all.

When under the possession of Darkrai, he gains a cloak made of shadows along with a white mask which obscures his true identity.

Born to a rich family , Areo grew up to be a spoiled and selfish brat, never thinking of anyone else yet always dreaming to be the very best, the most powerful Pokemon Trainer. Though raised with a high education, he was simple-minded and always thought of the world as straightforward, and that everything was lower than him. But none of the others noticed that he was spoiled on the inside, and always thought of his desire to 'become the very best' as sweet. How wrong they were.

When he was finally of age and got his first Pokemon, a Taillow, he wasn't satisfied with it but decided that he should use it to catch a more powerful Pokemon. Now a trainer, he ventured into the mountains where - rumors told - a powerful firebreathing Pokemon slumbered... Encountering the wild Charizard, he fearlessly engaged it, forcing his Taillow against its limits into battle. The battle lasted for less than half a minute as Charizard played around with the brave little bird, before finally crippling it with a Fire Fang. Needless to say, the poor bird was left in a horribe, fatal state, with its feathers lost and most of its bones snapped, along with plenty of blood loss.

From there, things just went downhill. A lot of Areo’s friends left him due to his absolutely stupid, reckless choice of daring to challenge a Charizard, as well as the way his Pokemon had ended up. His Gym case was taken from him as punishment, thereby preventing him from ever attempting to challenge a Gym, and in turn the Pokemon League as well. It was a miracle that Taillow had managed to hold onto that thin thread of 'life' after that highly-powered Fire Fang, and even then, there had been side-effects resulting from the aftermath of the curb-stomped battle. Due to the injuries caused by the wild dragon, it was estimated that Areo's Taillow would be incapable of evolving into a Swellow for potentially years longer than any ordinary Taillow. He was warned that if he ever forced Taillow into a battle again, he would most likely be stripped of his Trainer Card, as well as his last chance at becoming a Pokemon Trainer.

The Taillow spent four months in a specialized Pokemon Center, and Areo spent his days being constantly scolded and criticized by passersby, all this information being drilled into his head over and over, though the amount of times thinned out as the weeks passed. Now that he knew the consequences, the former jerk now constantly worried about Taillow’s health. If he were a sane trainer, he would’ve stuck to living with his Taillow, never participating in another Pokemon battle ever again, let alone the Pokemon League, and merely spending all his days alone with the one sole happiness to hold onto being that his precious Taillow had survived.

But Taillow wanted otherwise. When it was finally released from the Pokemon Center and back into Areo’s ownership, it was trying to say something, and it took him a while to realize that what it was trying to say was 'hey, let's try again.'

With new hope, Areo began to focus over the next few years on working Taillow's speed, so it could avoid taking any more damage while inflicting its own at the same time. Over the course of time, he caught a Hoothoot and Pidgey, and later made the decision to enroll into the Pokemon Academy. There, he met a strange girl called Ice, and though she was odd in some ways, they become closer and she even revealed her shocking past to him, while he did the same for her. Through their experience of isolation, they were able to make a connection. Over time, he even fell in love with her. After graduating, Ice and Areo went their separate ways to accomplish their dreams, but not before promising that they would meet again in three years time.

Going on to obtain both an Eevee and Sneevil while meeting even more people and working on speed, the time had finally come to challenge Charizard once again.

Travelling back to the mountains, he encountered the dragon again, in the exact same spot even though years had passed. Thus, Taillow engaged it once again in a one-on-one battle, but this time they were ready. Charizard was also ready this time, and took the battle more seriously. The resulting battle was epic and drawn out over several hours, with Taillow tiring out the dragon little by little as it tried its best to keep up with the bird. Then, Charizard had managed to catch up to and corner Taillow in the air, but just as it was about to deliver one final Fire Fang, Taillow suddenly evolved into Swellow and gained a boost in both speed and energy. From there, it easily defeated the exhausted Charizard. Triumphant, Areo used the same Pokeball he had used all those years ago, and...caught it. His life dream, a success.

While Charizard can be strange at times, it has accepted Areo's victory. From there, he has gone on to even greater challenges.

But despite his happiness, he's been having really strange nightmares lately. Some of them are about Ice- erm, Evangela, some of them about his Pokemon, while some of them are about the very shaken world itself. Whatever they're about, he hasn't had a good night's sleep in a while. Disregarding it, he decided to enter the Tournament of Legends, where he plans on reuniting with his girlfriend for the first time in years.

However, unbeknown to him, there's a reason for all the nightmares. A dark spirit has just so happened to choose him as its host, and it will do whatever it takes to ensure its own survival in the upcoming storm...

Areo himself possesses no supernatural abilities. However, when it seems like he's in danger or he's going to lose a battle, Darkrai will step in and use Dark Void on him - thereby giving him total control over the body.

While being possessed by Darjrai, Areo's strength is augmented and he gains most of the shadow abilities that Darkrai is capable of (such as levitation and Shadow Ball), apart from becoming intangible.

Errich is 5'8" with a weight  around 220 lbs. With short brown hair and darkish brown green eyes. He wears a light weight, light brown Carhartt jacket with blue jeans, while sporting a deep green shirt. He also carries a shoulder bag, that has most of his collectibles, and his guitar. His Plusle and Minun are always out of their Pokéballs and either walk next to Errich, ride on his shoulders, or in his bag.

Personality

He has a really quirky personality, one that would make anyone laugh with him. . . or at him for that matter. He is helpful, I mean, "as long as he gets something of equal worth out of it" helpful. He also likes to be alone, especially when he is out looking for rare Pokémon and whatnot. But when it really comes down to it, he is a nice guy who will cares for those around him.

Appearance

Errich is 5'8" with a weight  around 220 lbs. With short brown hair and darkish brown green eyes. He wears a light weight, light brown Carhartt jacket with blue jeans, while sporting a deep green shirt. He also carries a shoulder bag, that has most of his collectibles, and his guitar. His Plusle and Minun are always out of their Pokéballs and either walk next to Errich, ride on his shoulders, or in his bag.

Personality

He has a really quirky personality, one that would make anyone laugh with him. . . or at him for that matter. He is helpful, I mean, "as long as he gets something of equal worth out of it" helpful. He also likes to be alone, especially when he is out looking for rare Pokémon and whatnot. But when it really comes down to it, he is a nice guy who will cares for those around him.

The only artificially made Pokemon I can think of are Ditto, Porygon, and Castform, but who's to say that Legend Hunters need to be Pokemon Trainers? They could use powerful weapons or have robots/androids that mimic the abilities of Pokemon(although I don't want any based off of legendary Pokemon). Maybe some of that helps.

Erin is a subservient, timid and slightly naive girl. She loves Pokemon, but she seems to don't like Pokemon battle, mainly because she hates to see Pokemon suffering, whether it's her own or others' Pokemon. It was believed that Erin was born where former Viridian Forest located. This gave her a weaker kind of power that anyone who were born there century ago was said to had. Although Erin cannot directly talk to Pokemon, she can senses their feelings and emotions as well as express her own to them easier than other people. It could be said that any Pokemon comes into contact with Erin will automatically feel safe and comfortable by Erin's warm hearted feeling toward them.

Erin was a daughter of trainer couple who were always traveled around Totus and were well known as "Fairy Fortress" as they used only 2 Pokemon, Aegislash and Sylveon, and yet they never let those two fainted even once. Erin's mom had the same birthplace as Erin, so she also possessed the power of Viridian Forest. Erin's parent always helped any injured or lost Pokemon, and there were many times that they brought the said Pokemon to their house where Erin stayed to cure them. This granted Erin an expert in Pokemon aid, the same level as those who worked at Pokemon Center, since she always helped her parents. 1 year ago, her parents left home normally, but after an entire month that they didn't come back and Erin knew something was wrong, she got a parcel containing the letter with her mom's handwriting and 3 Poke Balls, with 2 Ultra Balls she instantly noticed as her parent's only Pokemon, and the third one with a combination of colors she never have seen before, Gold and Silver. Erin picked up the letter, it was shortly written "That Pokemon is a time traveling Pokemon, Celebi. Take good care of it and our Pokemon for us".

Sensed the severe tragical emotion from her parent's Pokemon, Erin was really sad and shocked so that she couldn't do anything as she thought about her parent's current status without their only Pokemon. The one who helped Erin at that point was Celebi, who came out of the Ball with its own will, made Erin fond of it and respectively forgot her sorrow. Since then, Erin studied and trained herself to be a Pokemon Trainer that worth using her parent's Pokemon and Celebi. Erin's training was similar to how she was told by her parent, leaving her house and traveling around Totus.

Erin started her adventure with only 3 Pokemon, although with two of them had the best move, perfect combination and full experienced in battle, plus the ability Erin herself possessed, she never had any problem with wild Pokemon. Even though she knew nothing about Celebi being a Legendary Pokemon, she was able to assume that Time Traveling Pokemon is something rare and shouldn't be acknowledge by anyone if she want to avoid troubles, so she never used Celebi in public before. She later obtained Natu and Togepi individually, both of which were found injured and cured by Erin. Later, they didn't leave her when she let them go.

Somewhere deep inside her heart, Erin still don't give up on finding her parent, so when she heard about the tournament of legends that trainers around the world will participate and will be held 1 month later, Erin trained herself harder in order to face other trainers and successfully had her last 2 Pokemon evolved. And when there was only a week left, she caught her final Pokemon, Froakie, the first Pokemon that she actually caught using her own skill (and of course, a little bit of her power.)

Erin can sense Pokemon's emotions and feelings and can make them acknowledged her own easier than other people, much like how people who were born at Viridian Forest before the Merge was said to had. And with Celebi in possession, any of her Pokemon's move that need some time to take effect (e.g. Wish, Future Sight, etc.) will take their effects with a drastically shorter time, literally in an instant for Celebi itself, even when Celebi is not in battle. This power requires Celebi's friendship and trust to be applied though.

[spoiler=Personality]As someone who lives by the code known as Bushido, Iori is a very chivalrous young man. He isn't quick to judge others or even the opponent's he faces, quite the contrary. He respects them as he sees each and every opponent as a new challenge that will only help him hone his skills even further, as his sensei showed him how to view these situations. The Pokemon which he has come across in his journey have even seen this selfless young man as a true friend, as even some will want to spar and train with him when they can.[/spoiler]

 

[spoiler=Backstory]In the old region that was Johto, Iori was born in the peaceful city known as Ecruteak, where both the Burned Tower and the Tin Tower stood in their respective locations. He, like most people, paid his respects to the two Pokemon that used to perch themselves onto the two towers: Ho-oh and Lugia. Though unlike the other children in the city who loved their dear Ghost Pokemon, Iori was fascinated by the Pokemon who were like the samurai of old...how they were quick, agile, swift with their strikes and even more. As his fascination of these sorts of Pokemon grew, there came an old man who moved into the city, beginning to teach people Kendo...and when he heard this, he was all for it. Iori joined his dojo and started to excel in the trainings of the sword, as his sensei knew he would. It wasn't long until the old man could no longer teach Iori anymore and passed his legacy to this shining pupil of his. He gave him the wooden Kendo katana that had been passed down in his family and a lone Pokeball. Inside this Pokeball held a Shiny Eevee, named Kage. Taking these with great humbleness and thanks, he watched the old man leave Ecruteak.

 

Years went by, as Iori took over the dojo and started to instruct others on the ways of the sword with the help of his newly evolved Kage, now an Umbreon. Things began to look up for him...until they arrived on the scene. No one really knows who they were...but it was clear who was leading them: a Legend Hunter. And what Legend had they tried to corner in Ecruteak...none other but one of the three that Ho-oh blessed within the Burning Tower...the Embodiment of Fire: Entei. They had the Legend cornered by the dojo...and Iori couldn't watch anymore. With Kage beside him, he fought off against this group,and protected the Fire Dog from this attack.

 

"You realize that you can't protect him forever, kid!"

 

The young samurai knew this, but he did it regardless and this selfless act caused Entei to grow fond of the young man, as the group left. Entei finally spoke up to the Takeda boy...A selfless act you have shown me, mortal. I must ask you one favor...become my Guardian. Something terrible is on the horizon and I do not have the strength by myself to combat it. Iori said not a word, but gladly accepted the offer. With this, he caught Entei within an Ultra Ball (only ball at the time) and started his own journey.

The years slowly continued, as Iori Takeda's journey now takes him to the tournament on Archaum Island. It is here, where the young man's skills will be tested...[/spoiler]

Wooden Kendo Katana - Iori's trusty weapon. With this he has trained in the ways of a samurai in the city of Ecruteak, and its said to have been made with small pieces of bark from a Sudowodo, making it pretty sturdy.

 

Temperature Knowledge - Because of his Guardianship towards Entei, he has a deep knowledge about the current temperatures and all the statistics that go with it. In conversation, he will often talk about the weather and how it is currently.

• The Ecruteak Trainer's name has the following meanings - Iori: A meaning hasn't exactly been found, but it is a personal Japanese and Welsh name. Takeda: Bamboo rice paddy. It is also good to mention that "Takeda" was also a samurai clan in the "Sengoku Period".
• The names behind Iori's three nicknamed Pokemon are these - Kage: In Japanese, Kage is the word known for "shadow". Tai: In Chinese, Tai means "great, extreme", not only this it is sort of a corrupt version of the beginning letters that spell Typhlosion's Pokemon name. Shogun: In Feudal Japan, this was a hereditary commander-in-chief.
