"The Walking Dead" Classic Zombie Deck

 

I have always loved playing the classic zombie builds, and in a last-ditch effort to enjoy the game a bit more, I made this deck. Feel free if there are any ways I could make it more competitive. I love deck-building advice.

The so-called "Classic" zombie deck doesn't really work in the competitive scene anymore.  The best competitive zombie deck out there is Vampires.  I can give you a Vampire deck skeleton to work with if you want to go that route.

 

If not, there's not much else I can do to this deck, other than offer a few suggestions.  

 

Pyramid Turtle:  Run 3.   This'll get out Red-Eyes much more easily.

 

Mezuki: Run 3.  Banish it to summon any Zombie from your Graveyard. 

 

Allure of Darkness: Most Zombies are DARK monsters, so this is a good card to run.

 

Foolish Burial: Another good card.  dump any Zombie, then Book of Life it or dump Mezuki.

That's -15 cards.  Now I'd add the following

+2 Call of the Haunted

+1 Compulsory Evacuation Device

+1 Bottomless Trap Hole

+1 Torrential Tribute

+1 Solemn Warning

 

Most of what I added are basic staples.  You need your backrow for protection, at least until you can get your Grave set up.  That's about the best you're gonna get unless you go the Vampire route.  Again, I can give you a deck skeleton to start off with.

3 Vampire Kingdom

1 Burial from a Different Dimension

 

1-2 Soul Charge

1-2 Book of Life

 

Traps: 

2 Vampire Takeover

2 Breakthrough Skill

1 Bottomless Trap Hole

1 Compulsory Evacuation Device

1 Solemn Warning

 

Extra space can be used for techs and the like.

2 Crimson Knight, Vampire Bram

2 Lavaval Chain

1 Wind-Up Zenmaioh

1 Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon

Extra Deck is gonna be about the best you're gonna get, although you can experiment.  Excition and 101 are gonna cost you the most if you're planning to run this IRL.
