As already mentioned, YCM is not affiliated with Konami so your chances of getting them to print your creations are slim to none.

I think one of our members emailed Konami about this, and they replied that they cannot accept fan-made submissions.

Granted, Japanese kids watching the anime did get some of their drawings made into cards [but that was just pictures]. We also had some 4Kids contest in 2007 to design world-premiere cards for Gladiator's Assault in TCG. And there's that kid who got 6 inches of his gut taken out because of cancer, and he got a card made for him. That's about all of the instances Konami takes fan ideas.

There is a tutorial in this section that tells you how to use your cards in real life, but obviously you cannot do this at sanctioned tournaments. At your hobby store, provided your opponent doesn't mind you using fake cards, you can play with them here.

As Raine mentioned, if you design a card, you need to make sure it's well-designed and doesn't lead to degenerate plays / broken combos or give Decks something that they already have too much of and/or don't need, etc. This would entail reading that guide Toyo wrote in Realistic Cards.

(If you want the actual dimensions, I think it's 2.375" x 3.625" last time I measured them)

I suppose it would, but then you have this:

Among others.

If they were official they'd have to be pretty darn good.

And maybe not support archetypes in a way that ruin their flavor and horribly buff them.

…I'm looking at you, Crystal Beasts and Lightsworns
