I had decided to go through the thread of the original tournament, and had noticed that some members had wanted a thread where we can discuss their ideas for future tournaments. So I decided to establish this thread so that members of YCM, including myself, can do just that. Of course all general rules of YCM apply to this thread like usual, and members will be respected.

UPDATE: I have decided to create a poll for you guys to decide on how you want the next tournament to be set up. The date has not been officially decided ,but will be announced soon. Discussion on your selections and tips and advice for upcoming tournament hosters are also welcome.
UPDATE 2: School starts for me on Wednesday(which is tomorrow, this update has been posted on the 12th)and I will be very busy. I'm currently thinking that maybe a possible tournament may occur sometime in September, possibly earlier. Thank you all for your generous feedback as it is giving a ton of new ideas to incorporate in to the next tournament. All I can say is, stay tuned.

As of now, I have decided to update the information for the next possible tournament. Judging by the votes, a few of you guys would like to do LC Inverse battles/6v6 Battles and other members would 6v6/Inverse OU battles. I will update the poll in order to make the final decision for the tournament format. As for the official date, it will possibly be around Labor Day weekend. Tell me what you guys think, I love to hear you guy's feedback and suggestions.

UPDATE: The polls are now closed as of September 21,2014(which is today). I have carefully analyzed you guy's vites and have made my final decisions. The details are as follows:

Name of Tourney: The Trap's Spooktacular PokéShowdown Tournament
Battle Type: OU
Battle Style: 6v6 Singles
Maximum Amount of Participants: 50(Not expecting to receive that much people but will set the limit anyways).
Registration Period: October 2- October 12
Tournament Period: October 13-October 17
Rules:
*All replay videos MUST BE SUMBMITTED October 11 BEFORE 11:59:59 UTC. Any videos submitted by participants after specified date will be rejected, unless an emergency occurs.
* No Ubers( It's an Ubers match)
*I will notify all members who submit their application(when I post the thread) to confirm your application. All you have to do is make sure that you comfirm your submission by saying the following password: SLOWPOKETAIL
*No profanity/bullying/or unprofessionalism will be tolerated. If a problem occurs, notify me immeadiately.

I was actually considering making a club for this, since it would give me a reason to stick around YCM a bit more, but hey a thread here works too.

 

Personally, I wouldn't mind trying out an Inverse Battle Tournament sometime. I'm really curious to see how that would go, and I'm just kinda messing around with it a little bit in my spare time.

I would love to do more tournaments. Especially Showdown since I don't have the patience to make wifi teams. I don't get much a chance to play against people I know...sorta.

Inverse could be really fun and I know I'll suck at it but even so.

I'm totally game, most Showdown tournaments you can count me in.

If anyone who was in the monotype tournament is interested in seeing my team and you still have your's, I would be up to playing a monotype game too. Just not now, right now is dinner for me. xD

Same for me actually. I'm really bad about approaching people for a game and stuff, but if someone wants to we can find a time...

I'm up for LC stuff in the future, I just haven't had a chance to really test anything. Dx

 

I'm not a fan of the whole Mixed tier thing. It's an okay idea in theory, but... It just seems mostly lackluster to me. x-x

I like the idea, tho the RU and NU guys might not be able to be much of a match for the OU and UU guys

That's really my concern. Half the team is good against most, then half the team is mostly useless cause of the higher up guys. x-x

Was thinking. Making a club/thread for Showdown itself might be kinda cool. We could do tournaments, including this one, or just request battles. Post interesting/funny/annoying battles. Maybe keep track of win/loss within the club/thread or something. I don't know, just have a basic idea and I'd figure I post that here, since Kirito was the one who started this up.

 

Edit: This made the thread two pages, that must be a sign it's a good idea.

That's what I was planning on doing before Kirito posted this thread actually. I don't really know if there's a point with this thread though.

I think it still could have a point. This tournament could be part of it, if Kirito is fine with that. After all this is mostly to set up a specific tournament.


Not really. I will always announce future tournaments on this thread, but I appreciate your feedback.
