Blake
You know that Inti and Quilla are actually just awful, and even this deck doesn't want them, right?
hexcalibrate
You know that Inti and Quilla are actually just awful, and even this deck doesn't want them, right? I know full well just how effective they are, I wouldn't build this then not test it.
Blake
If that was true, you'd know not to run them. Inti's a 30/28. It only activates when destroyed by battle. This means, logically, you shouldn't be running it because of the fact that the only cards that will actually run over it are Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Starliege Paladynamo, Constellar Beehive, Full Armor Crystal Zero Lancer, and Lance aided attacks. So nothing will be running it over by battle because better options exist. Meaning it has marginal use over, say, Hot Red Dragon Archfiend or Red Dragon Archfiend in exchange for not being useful in most situations. Then there's Quilla. It's not too bad. 25/20, any form of destruction, heals you when it would be punched... But better removal exists still. Castel, 101, Pleiades, Compulsory Evacuation Device, Bottomless Trap Hole, Solemn Warning, Big Eye, Caius, and so on. While harder to remove adequately than Inti, inti HAS all of these weaknesses, juse like Quilla, and more. And then they require drawing into specific tuners that also require a level 5 each to throw away on their very, very passive effects. It just isn't worth it. You can run the Incas for silly tuner set that can work with one another, but wasting space on Inti and Quilla is just wrong, especially 2 slots each. hexcalibrate
firstly, only inti's destruction eff requires to be destroyed by battle, to summon quilla it just needs to be destroyed period secondly, this deck isn't about trying to improve on artifact's, this deck is about trying to improve the Inca cards and although this may not be a top tier deck, it's decent little deck to play around with. your opinion is duly noted but you haven't told me anything I didn't know already. I misread. Still seems weak as ball when it requires 2 Normal Summons. But you can run Inca without running shitty cards like Inti and Quilla. Supay and Ascator aren't flat out TERRIBLE. And even in Incas, Inti and quilla have long since been awful.
hexcalibrate
I concede that they aren't a great strategy, however if I take them out then I could just also swap the tuner's to better ones which would make a better deck but it wouldn't improve this deck. am I making any sense? Blake
But there's at least logic to playing Incas, even if casually. They are a decent set of cards that interact together well, albeit not as well as they could. Wasting a slot on the Sun/Moon isn't really worth it, but 2 is just unacceptable, in all honesty.
