Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Are you able to discard Field Searchers such as "Zeradias, Herald of Heaven" even if the Field Spell they search isn't in your deck?
CrabHelmet
Yes; however, if I recall correctly, your opponent then has the right, if they wish, to examine your deck briefly to confirm that your deck does not contain a valid field spell. For instance, Toon Table of Contents. I just wanted to be sure you could actually do it.
Orochi
in fact, discarding the field searcher is an activation cost, so you can pay a cost and doesn't matter if you can fulfill the effect...

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
why would you need to? Monsters in the grave have their uses.If you really wanted to you could dump 3 Archfiend Generals and a Herald to summon Norleras. But not only would that be a lot of lost cards, your opponent would be allowed to look at your deck xP Plus those monsters would be automatically destroyed if summoned.. Summoning them takes too many turns.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
If they look through your deck' date=' is the deck shuffled?[/quote']Uhhh... Really don't know. But I think it would be, since you have to shuffle after looking with the card's effect, yourself.
CrabHelmet
If they look through your deck' date=' is the deck shuffled?[/quote'] Any time you look through the deck, it gets shuffled (unless you're using an effect like Pigeonholing Books of Spell to do it). HORUS
I meant if you knew you didnt have the card. Like if your Mystic Tomato was destroyed by battle and you knew you didnt have another monster to summon.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Dammit...Then if it's that Zeredias guy.You still have to shuffle your deck after its activation, because you're SUPPOSED to look through your deck to find one. Then your opponent could look through your deck to confirm if it's in there or not, and you're not just trying to cheat them.
Orochi
in fact you don't activate the effect, and you must show your deck to your opponent so he/she can see that you can't activate tomato's effect... BTW: the "discarding and don't search" i used several times with my harpie deck to have more fodder to hysteric party...

If you say "I don't activate this non-mandatory effect" your opponent can pretend you activated it.
