Maeriberii Haan
Shirou's still the protagonist, but Saber won't really take much of the spotlight due to Rin and Archer. But yeah, only the prologue would be from Rin's perspective.
Shradow
This is one new show I'm going to have to watch week by week. That was awesome, ufotable animation is always top notch, especially in the action scenes. Did not expect Rin to be in the same school with Shirou and Sakura. And speaking of Sakura, was that blonde guy we saw with her at one point Gilgamesh? Rin's actually a pretty nice character, I expected her to be just another tsundere. She's not just any tsundere, she's a Legendary Grade S Zettai Ryouiki!

Shradow
Good to see Saber back in action after her depressing end in F/Z. Also, I kinda squeed when she repeated her line she said to Kiritsugu from F/Z. Shirou's magic seems pretty neat, can't wait to see more of what it can do. Next episode we hopefully get to see Kirei full on, that evil awesome bastard. And Kalafina is back for some sweet ED goodness, praise be.
Thar
Gotta love that classic Saber vs. Lancer action early on.
Merci
Another awesome episode, especially when it came to Saber's appearance~ we get the OP and ED too, which are both absolutely epic. And for those of you who are worried that Shirou's going to ruin the show, don't fret. He's actually a pretty cool character, especially in this route as well as in Heaven's Feel.
Aix
Yeah, the characters don't seem bad in this. I still find it way too slow, hopefully the plot picks up in the coming episodes. Damn, that action.
Fusion X. Denver
Episode 0 was pretty great. Don't know what to think about the new Archer, but at least Saber's not the protagonist's Servant again. Makes for a refreshing new show. Actually, something I was wondering: do the warrior spirits change for each battle? Gilgamesh was Archer in Zero, but now we see somebody else instead. Is that the norm or did he somehow lose his right to participate?
Did Gilgamesh winning the last battle mean he passes this time?
And is Lancer the same guy or no? I honestly can't tell; he does look like the old Lancer, but he seems different in character, idk. Anyways, this show's been great so far. Awesome animation and pretty good character interactions too. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this.
Shradow
Gilgamesh gained true incarnation and since the end of F/Z has been an actual person in the real world. He's no longer a Heroic Spirit.
This Lancer is not the old Lancer. The old Lancer was Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, who wielded Gae Dearg and Gae Buidhe. This Lancer was revealed in Episode 1 to be "Ireland's Child of Light", AKA Cú Chulainn, and he wields Gáe Bolg. Though both are from Irish mythology. Though I'm curious as to why Saber is still Arturia whereas Lancer changed guards.
Does getting 2nd place in the last battle let you get another chance for the next battle?
Shradow
Might be since Shirou is linked to Kiritsugu, I dunno. EDIT: Then again, since Fate/Zero was made after Fate/Stay Night, it's more a matter of why they made Arturia Saber in that. There could simply be no in-universe reason, and it was just that they wanted her to be in both.

Servants in one Holy Grail War don't affect those summoned in another, and the heroes chosen are totally dependent on the catalysts that the magi choose and such, and their personalities play pretty strong factors in the summoning ritual too.
Kiritsugu saved Shirou's life by implanting Avalon into his body upon discovering him in that fire. Thus, when Shirou (accidentally) stumbled near the summoning circle, it ended up acting as the catalyst to summon Arturia, just as it did with Kiritsugu and the Einzberns.
Then again, since Fate/Zero was made after Fate/Stay Night, it's more a matter of why they made Arturia Saber in that. There could simply be no in-universe reason, and it was just that they wanted her to be in both.
No, it's canon that Saber participated in the Fourth Holy Grail War. Her backstory with Kiritsugu plays a pretty important role in F/SN. Many of the events in F/Z was drawn from how it was described in F/SN.
Ah, ok, figured that might've been the case (since that's usually how prequels work) but wasn't sure. My dealings with the entire Fate series have been the Fate/Zero anime and the two episodes of this. EDIT: So I watched the opening to listen to the song, and I realized that the one guy was a samurai, so I was guessing maybe it was Miyamoto Musashi.
I was close, it's actually Sasaki Kojirō, AKA Ganryū Kojirō, Musashi's greatest rival. You know, the guy Musashi famously dueled on that island, in that legend of how Musashi arrived really late to the duel and won using a wooden sword he fashioned during the boat trip from an extra oar.
I like how we have a Japanese Heroic Spirit in this one. Fusion X. Denver
Man, we've been getting a lot of exposition. But looks like the action's really getting going next episode. I'm psyched.
Merci
Another amazing episode, filled with Rin, but more importantly the absolutely splendid voice of Kotomine Kirei droning on and on and on just as he should~Next episode we'll have Saber & Archer vs Berserker and it's gonna be EPIC =D
Shradow
Kirei, the best character, finally appears. That automatically makes it an amazing episode. Sucks that Illyasviel appears to be evil now. Guess the Einzbern family gave her some serious training or something. EDIT: So what are the chances that Kirei is going to get ahold of one of the Servants and join the battle? Please tell me they're high.
Thar
Sucks that Illyasviel appears to be evil now. Guess the Einzbern family gave her some serious training or something. Not gonna lie... evil Illya seems much more interesting than her good side in Fate/Zero, especially with Berserker at her side.

Legend Zero
This week's episode continues with amazing animation. Loved the part where Archer's arrow changes shape subtly.Feels so weird telling people to watch Fate/Stay episodes
Shradow
Feels so weird telling people to watch Fate/Stay episodes I know, I can't believe it either. EDIT: Episode 4 was nice and simple. Ilyasviel's kinda creeping me out, though. And Shirou has self-healing? Given that it's still Arturia as Saber, it's pretty clear what's causing that. Thar
This is the one anime that's been truly entertaining me this season. Not sure why, but I've been in a rut with anime recently, along with a lot of things. The one thing I really liked was the new Assassin. Not only is she smoking hot, but she's significantly better than the others (not a push-over like the one from Zero so far, iirc.)
Merci
Though Sakura's best girl for me, Rin can be quite hilarious with her reactions xDAnd yay, we get to see a new Servant~ Also, it seems like Caster will be entering the fray starting next episode. Thar
And yay, we get to see a new Servant~ Also, it seems like Caster will be entering the fray starting next episode. I'm so hype for that! Assassin's already showed her superiority over her previous incarnation, and by the looks of it, this caster seems better than that abomination from Zero.
