The Great Ninja War - A Nation's Struggle!

Let me start off with this; As a fan of the Naruto series, and someone loves to read and watch it, there were
always a few things that really bothered me. I hated that the entire focus of Shippuden was focused on the
Jinchūriki. Don't misunderstand, though; I'm completely aware of why that decision was made. I just don't
appreciate that, as the series went on, the ninja world became minuscule, and all that mattered was the bijuu.
That, and every villain that stuck around for more than two episodes was most likely a Uchiha. That being said,
I'm starting this roleplay because I personally would like to see what the ninja world would be like without the tailed beasts.
What if there was another great ninja war, but between villages? A war that was spurred on by political disputes and treachery?
What if there were no overpowered Uchiha or Jinchūriki to make every other ninja look foolish in comparison?
Let's find out, shall we?
1. All YCM Advanced Clause Rules apply.
2. No God-modding
3. No Uchiha or Jinchuriki. (Yes, the Leaf Village is in this, but their founding will be altered later. How? I'm open to ideas.)
4. No short-posting
5. Only 2 characters per User
6. I would prefer original clans, but if you can put one in from the series without referencing characters from it, that's alright.
7. Have fun!

Username: Envoy of Twilight
Name: Yobiyose, Nandurō
Age: 13
Chakra Nature: Unknown
Rank: Genin
Personality: Usually the silent type, he doesn't say all too much, or express very much emotion. When angered, he is still very skeptical to speak, preferring instead to talk with combat. Shy around females, he is, deep down, an overall normal kid. He just does his best to suppress any sort of emotion that could be taken advantage of. He's serious most of the time, only joking around with those he is most comfortable with.
Appearance: Physically fit, his body is actually very well sculpted for his age, due to all of the taijutsu training he does. His hands are wrapped in white bandages that are only removed during combat. These are to cover up the scars he has from biting his thumb so much to perform his summoning jutsu. Besides that, he is usually found wearing a coat with a hood, the coat being colored red, black pants and standard issue shoes on as well. He has long brown hair that covers his eye, long in the front but cut short in the back. His eyes are brown as well.

Bio: It is often said that when a ninja creates a contract with the animals in which they are able to summon, they are stuck with that animal; the ability to control multiple types of summons becoming something of a rumor. However, there is one clan in particular that is known for controlling summons of an unimaginable number. Their story is an old one, reaching back almost as far as the Sage of Six Paths. The Yobiyose clan was one that was not particularly skilled in any sort of combat, thus produced poor ninja. For the longest time, they were ridiculed for their poor skills in ninjutsu and genjutsu, and thus were labeled failures as shinobi. For generations, this continued; the clan growing apathetic when it came to their village. The Yobiyose seemed to be forever doomed to fail, that is, until he changed things. Sōegi was a young child of the clan, and one that was quite out of the ordinary. Every other child of the clan seemed to accept their fate, all but Sōegi deciding against becoming a shinobi. While his skills were still not up to par, Sōegi refused to believe that the clan had to remain this way. Once he had reached the age of twenty, he left the village, telling nobody where he was headed.

In truth, he was headed all across the ninja world; there was no one stop for him. That being said, his destinations did have a recurring theme; they were all homes to different creatures commonly used for summoning techniques. He met up with everything from snakes to birds, and everything in between. It is unknown whether or not it is true, but they say that he was able to meet every single summoning-type in the ninja world, though it required years of searching. He then make a contract with every single one. Thought impossible, he was only able to do this by forming a specific type of contract with all of these summons. This contract stated that, in exchange for having access to all of these creatures and their abilities, every descendant of his would be forbidden to perform any sort of ninutsu or genjutsu, no matter how weak it would be. While it didn't seem like a large cost, any attempt his descendants would make to perform ninjutsu or genjutsu would remove all of their abilities, crippling them physically as well. In order to save his clan, he decided to agree to these terms.

From then on, his children, their children, and so on would be the greatest summoners that the ninja world had ever seen. Settling down in a new village, Sōegi had a romance with a non-shinobi from it, and the cycle began. A new Yobiyose clan was born, and it was one that nobody could have foreseen. Sōegi had given his new clan a tool that would propel them far into the ranks of the ninja world. That is, if they followed his advice. What started off as a great and wonderful gift was quickly looked at as a curse. Deciding to ignore the pleas of Sōegi, every single clan member born from Sōegi attempted ninjutsu or genjutsu, sure that their mastery of summoning was so great that there was no real reason that they could not perform other techniques. So, the clan had become what it was when Sōegi left his original village; a clan of apathetic people with no drive to become ninja whatsoever. Long after Sōegi died of natural causes, this cycle continued. There was only one who stood up and listened to the teachings of Sōegi. His name is Nandurō.

When Nandurō was born, both of his parents had already lost their justsu completely, and it was a miracle that they were even able to have the baby delivered, due to the crippled body of his mother. Nandurō was the first child of the Yobiyose clan in years, and was held in high regard.  Quickly sent off to the ninja academy, he excelled in summoning jutsu, to be expected, but seemed to be even more talented than even Sōegi was. Nandurō displayed his skill by summoning a full-sized Rashōmon gate to defect another students attack. It was awe-inspiring. Growing up, Nandurō didn't even think of betraying the word of his clan's superior. The thought of experimenting with ninjutsu of any other kind of genjutsu was out of the question. Training in taijustsu as well, just so he could be skilled in close combat if it became necessary, he became quite skilled in that as well. He was no genius when it came to taijutsu, but he could hold his own in a fight with at least three people of his ninja-rank. Now a genin, he awaits the team placement procedure, anxious to work his way up and restore whatever shreds of honor his clan may have left.

Other: Though he has access to all of these summons, he has to work hard to master and to even learn the signing to summon them. So, not everything is natural talent for him. He works hard to achieve his goals.
