.Rai
Nothing new, but I thought I'd experiment more on the style of the first one.http://albtrss.tumblr.com/post/92929861765/reflections-ii
LiAM
I do like it, personally I'm not sure about the colour choice, feels far too bold. Maybe two colours, a grey background and light orange shape? Maybe it would be interesting to see a version where the 'line' connects on the other side of the shape too, either symmetrically going /over/ the shape, or illusionist going /under/ like the impossible shape. Either way very nice line work and use of simple effects. Trying to work out how you've done it, I am a big fan of the minimal/surreal style, still learning what I'm doing and stealing ideas from others in the process. http://bravelittlepixelart.tumblr.com/
.Rai
Colours are definitely very bold. Another guy suggested grey on my first Reflections piece, so I'll try a third, at risk of draining the style dry.I'll take in what you said. Making it more illusory, and absurd, is part of the goal here. As abstract and simple as possible. Fairly simple process, just lots of clipped shapes, and gradient work. Thanks, dude. Following your Tumblr now, some cool stuff.
LiAM
Cheers, I thought the grey would help accent the coloured focal. A very 'light' version, reduced saturation type of thing. Generally the colours from the left hand side of your tag ideally. I'll have to try experimenting with clean geometry, I usually end up making things look messy, only have Gimp and Inkscape to work with. Thanks for the follow, I generally only follow purist 'art' blogs back but I've reblogged you for future reference.
.Rai
I don't really know how to do it myself, but all of my art posts are tagged #albtrss and nothing else is, if you don't want a messy dashboard :P
LiAM
I'm still fairly new to learning how to use Tumblr properly, so I have no idea how to filter out your posts on your blog if I did follow, haha. Just wanted to keep my Feed purely art work. I had this problem when making mine, I now use my main as a personal and my secondary as purely my artwork portfolio, only problem is I can't follow profiles on my secondary, which would be ideal really. main: http://bravelittlepixel.tumblr.com/
.Rai
Tracking the #albtrss tag might actually be better than following my blog then :p I can understand wanting to follow just art. It's pretty much just art and photography for me anyway. But, anyway, thanks for the feedback again. I'm forcing myself to do some art everyday (hopefully), so I'll enter to messing with this style some more.
LiAM
I'll keep an eye on it, can't find an easy way to keep it 'tracked' or followed without just searching for the tag now and then. Keep it up, I'm trying to get work out often too, just building up a 'sketchbook' via Tumblr at the moment, following a lot of art blogs that interest me so hopefully good things to come
