Making thread cuz I'm butthurt from not having this yet, and I need to gush about it to calm my hype down. EDIT: Mother of Ken Masters, that is huge, and I'm too lazy to resize it.

 

UNIEL, update to UNIB the arcade fighting game, got a PS3 release around, today or so. French Bread 2D fighting game, looks edgy and should be fun.

 

[spoiler=details and the other shizz]What makes this unique compared to other 2D airdashers is that it has UNREAL BLACK THINGS a GRD system that essentially rewards you for being good. Gist of it is, both you and opponent-chan has a gauge that builds up by playing well, after a small amount of time whoever has higher in their GRD gauge gets a buff that increases your damage by 10%, gives you the ability to convert what you have in your GRD into EXS that you use to do specials and all that stuff with, and more other cool stuff. A round's as much about you trying to deal more damage than your opponent as it is about trying to win that GRD race.

 

Characters, we have among others, a shoto MC who's compensating less than Ragna the Bloodedge yet is still pretty up there in the edge department, a crazy-looking hag who summons floating swords like Nu, a manly guy who wields a scythe and steals your GRD, someone who came straight from Melty Blood with a small name change, a Persona 4 protagonist but totally isn't, and then some.[/spoiler]

 

So I'm sure we have like 3 people at best here who'd bother getting the game, but if we don't spread the word out, who will? Unlike other current/upcoming fighters, UNIEL doesn't have a massive-ass cast yet. It's also gettin' an english release sometime in 2015 for some reason I can't fathom, but I sure ain't complaining. And er...it has....a church nun voiced by Saori Hayami? Okay fine, I don't really know why the average Joe should get this over other fighting games, but ya know, if there's any interest there, do consider following it.
