YCM Drinking Game (cont'd)

Recommended Posts

Picking up from this thread here. Can't necropost, so better off starting a new thread in hopes of expanding the list.

Disclaimer: Zai does not advocate the consumption of alcohol by anyone other than himself. If you are under the legal drinking age in your area and/or you name isn't Zai, Zai is not responsible for your alcohol intake.

Because RC is full of fun and stupid things, I've come up with a means to get drunk off of it. You're welcome.

Rules:

1. You are playing the drinking game from the moment you log on to YCM to the moment you log off.

2. The drinking game is to be played with a drinking glass full of your drink of choice. Should you empty your cup during the course of the game, you must re-fill it or log off of YCM. Beer or liquor that isn't super-strong is recommended, though you are welcome to choose something harder or non-alchoholic at your own risk or boredom.

2a. Should you choose a non-alcoholic drink for legal or health reasons, the game ends if you either log off, run out of drink, or really, really need to empty your bladder.

3. You may drink to posts made before you logged on if you so choose, as long as those posts were made on the same day that you logged on.

4. Take a sip every time a level one (one star) member posts a card. Take an additional sip if the topic title or the opening post says something similar to "Here's my first card I hope you like it!" or "This card is awesome!"

5. Take a sip if someone posts a monster card of the Dragon type. Take an additional sip if it supports Dragon-types or Dragon-based archetypes. Finish your glass if it supports Blue-Eyes or Red-eyes.

6. Take a sip if someone posts a card that supports an archetype that really doesn't need any more support. Take an additional sip if said support is obviously inferior to already existing support for that archetype.

7. Take a sip if Gadjiltron, Zanda, Sakura, or Newhat reviews a card or posts in a topic.

7a. Finish your glass if Zanda uses expletive language in his post.

7b. Take an additional sip each time Gadjiltron corrects card text. Take another additional sip if he corrects another reviewer's card text.

8. Take two sips if Toyo, Evilfusion, or Black reviews a card or posts in a topic.

8a. Take another sip if Toyo calls the card "Worst of all time" or "utter garbage" or words to that effect. 1 sip for every insult:

9. Find a sippy cup, or the nearest equivalent of a sippy cup, fill it with a sip's worth, and drink from it if someone posts six samurai support, to celebrate the child that they are.

10. Take a sip if Zai reviews a card. Take two sips if Zai sounds like an idiot or says something stupid when he does so.

11. Take a sip if you come across a topic started by a level 1-2 member that has at least 5 posts. Take another sip if that topic only contains posts from level 1-2 members.

11a. Take two more sips if the comments amount to empty praise ("nice card" etc and nothing else) or unrelated discussion ("try to match it against my card" etc)

12. Take a sip every time a card creator does not take criticism. Take an additional sip if said denial of criticism starts a flame war. Finish your glass if toyo is involved. Take an additonal sip from your re-filled cup if said flame war damages toyo's sanity enough for him to post a status about it. Finish the second glass if you were involved in said flame war.

12a. Down one more glass if said flame war results in the creator leaving YCM.

13. Take three sips if, just by glancing at the card and before reading the reviews, you can tell it is not realistic. You'll probably need it.

13a. Take another sip if they're a different breed of God cards.

13b. Take another sip if, after you first discover it, the thread gets moved to AOC. You don't need to drink if the move happened before you began reading the thread.

14. Finish your cup if you lose faith in humanity.

15. Spit/vomit your drink out if ABC posts.

16. Take a celebratory drink if a Level 1-2 member gives a surprisingly insightful or high quality review. Don't forget to rep them.

17. Take a sip if Rrrtttyyyuuuiii asks for a member to post card lore so that he can fix their OCG.

17a. Take a sip if Rrrtttyyyuuuiii then follows up with only a OCG fix.
17b. Take another sip if that fix somehow subtly changes the card's legal targets or effects.

18. Take a sip if you recognize a card's image from another card game. This excludes cards that are explicitly adaptations of the same card from that other card game.

18a. Down the glass if it's from an existing Yugioh card. This includes the Bandai card game.

Optional Rules:

A. Double your sips if you drink while you and a mod are in RC at the same time.

B. Triple your sips if you drink while an admin is on the site.

C. Take a sip if your card gets positive reviews.

D. Drink the entire bottle in one gulp if J-Max posts a Card with a Anime Image on it. Drink an additional bottle if the image is of a girl.

Addendum: Pop Culture Section

Use when you wander into the Pop Culture section. You are free to apply the RC rules to this as well.

1. Take a sip for each thread that contains Pokemon cards. Another if it's by ems97.

1a. For the brave/suicidal, take a sip for each Pokemon card in those threads.

2. Take a sip if a pop culture card does not properly reflect the character's/event's in-universe abilities, or makes the character/event unnaturally strong for what they are.

HARD MODE: TCG/OCG Section

These rules apply if you're browsing TCG/OCG Card Discussion, Banlist Discussion, and Decks. (You poor fool...)

1. Take a sip for each mention of "degenerate", "autopilot", or "skill" that's not part of a card name or card text.

1a. If you're feeling brave/suicidal, include card names and card text.

2. Take a sip for every instance of saltiness against a certain card and/or archetype.

2a. Another sip if someone tries to defend it.

2b. Another sip if a heated argument results.

2c. And yet another sip if you're involved in said heated argument.

2d. And another if Black is involved.

2e. Empty your glass if the argument persists past 1 page and/or derails the discussion from the card of interest.

3. Take a sip if Chaos Knux is being hateful of the meta. Again.

4. Take a sip each time someone posts a Deck that's mostly single copies of cards. You are exempt from doing this for intentional highlander Decks.

5. Finish your glass if someone's proposed changes to a Deck effectively says "scrap your entire Deck."

5a. If the whole thread is doing it, drink only 1 glass instead because OP's Deck was so universally bad.

6. Take 3 sips if, in a thread featuring the card, the main point of discussion amongst the replies is not about the card featured. You are exempt if it involves an old card.

6a. For the brave/suicidal, do this for old cards too.

MANIAX MODE: Card Text

Restrict yourselves to reading card texts for this one. Apply anywhere on a forum. If feeling particularly suicidal, during a Duel or when looking at someone's Deck list.

1. Take a sip for every mention of "once per turn", "once per Duel", or any variation thereof.

2. Take about half a sip for each effect that Special Summons. This includes inherent Special Summons that don't start a Chain.

2a. Upgrade that to a full sip if it's a nomi/semi-nomi clause ("Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand)...")

3. Take a sip for any effect that targets cards in the Graveyard.

4. Take about half a sip for any effect that triggers in the Graveyard. This stacks with the above rules if it Special Summons a target(s) from the Graveyard.

5. Take a sip for each card effect that searches the Deck or draws cards. Two if it does both at once.

Feel free to contribute more rules.

Going to be drinking a lot when I see Pokemon cards in PC. (I make some as well, but at least they're on RC-level standards).

Luckily I have enough fruit punch for a while.

With consideration that a mini variant of the Advanced Clause is being discussed (or actually is in effect), 2B might not see too much; but you never know.

B-But... I put my heart into Pokevolution. I warn all of you though, One look at Hybrids and you are pretty much dead from Alcohol Poisoning XD

Oh no no Sakura, I wasn't asking for attention lol. I was merely pointing out that Pokevolution (Well Season 4 and onwards) was abiding to the RC Rules pretty darn closely. Haven't updated Hybrids for a while anyway so not sure if a Thread not updated for 2 Months would be worthy. Considering adding a few more though as my Image Hunting has been pretty fruitful lately.

for hard mode

add an addendum:

-take an extra sip if the argument is between Black and another member.

-down the glass if the argument continues to page 2 or beyond.

Also

-takes three sips for a card thread where the card's effect itself was not the main topic of discussion, as reflected by the replies. Old card threads does not count.

-hard mode: count new threads about old cards.

Done and done. Persistent arguments have the side effect of derailing discussion and thus it's spliced with "down the glass if discussion derails".
