I dunno, fun idea I had that I thought might help promote some interesting card design while still keeping things fun.

 

The premise of this game is that there will be two Archetypes: The Avianzi and the Windwalking. They will be designed specifically to counter eachother. Each post should contain a card for the archetype opposite the previous post. Try to keep previous cards in mind, and keep the cards unique. If the last card lets its owner draw a card, dont just make your card have them discard. 

 

This is first and foremost a game, but if you leave helpful and insightful criticism on someone elses card(s) in this thread (and don't insult their person, or use insults in general at all if you can help it) then you'll get a rep. 

 

Over time we should have collectively developed two distinct archetypes of cards built for the fun match of playing against eachother.

 

To start off, here's a very simple Avianzi card. So the next card should be a Windwalking. Do with it what you will.

NOTE: Written cards are permitted, but if you can, everyone would have a lot more fun if you used images!

Windwalking Bannerholder

[Warrior/Wind/4/1200/1000]

When this card declares an attack while your opponent controls a EARTH monster: All WIND monsters on the field gain 700 ATK and all EARTH monsters on the field lose 700 ATK. These changes last until the end of the battle Phase. Once per turn, When a "Windwalking" monster you control destroys a monster by battle: Draw 1 card.

Windwalking Psi-melder

[WIND/Warrior/3/Tuner/500/2100]

This card is also treated as a Psychic-type monster. If your opponent controls an "Avianzi" monster and you control no other monsters: You can take control of all "Avianzi" monsters your opponent controls until the End phase. They cannot attack or be tributed.

If you control an "Avianzi" monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) and if you do, this card's ATK and DEF become 0. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a "Windwalking" monster's effect while you control more monsters than your opponent: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard; negate that activation, and if you do, take control of that monster.

I'll try my hand at this:

 

Windwalking Deadwind

Wind/Zombie/Level 4

1000/1800

Once per turn: If a monster effect would send 1 card from the field to the grave is activate it; discard one card and banish that monster. If a 'Windwalking' monster is discarded by this effect, add 1 'Windwalking' monster from our Graveyard to your hand with a different name.
