Just as you say that, I find this image:
mega_skarmory_by_dragonith-d6tenwc.png
It keeps its typing obviously, but the new stats are: 65/120/170/40/80/90 - A nice boost in speed and a needed buff in Attack, just so you could run an offensive (gasp) set and catch your opponent off guard?

As for its ability, the artist came up with: Fortified: Pokemon raises defenses when hit with a contact move. (though I feel Weak Armour wouldn't be too bad either)

I like, but you seem to have posted the same link for both, so all I/we can see is the Mega Ninetails, which does look awesome to be fair (though the ability sounds like it could be abused in some way...) though here is a Mega Beedril, and Buterfree, image that I found:

Fixed it. The link I wanted to use for Mega Beedill is in it's respective spoiler. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't know, I'd rather focus on Skarmory's forte - i.e. defense - and give it a boost in S.Def instead of needlessly increasing its Spd (90 is still too slow). If it had more special bulk, it'd could become a true defensive monster - even more than it ever were at its prime.

That's fair enough actually, 90 speed won't do much for skarmory and it's not what it's known for anyway. I'll stand by my increase in Attack, but will shift all the boost in speed to make it: 65/120/170/40/100/70

Of course! You can't make a Mega without an increase in offensive capabilities.

I think all of them received a boost in Atk and/or S.Atk, didn't they?

Mega forms of all Eeveelutions.

Mega Flygon.

Mega Gallade, who wears a tuxedo to compliment Mega Gardevoir's dress.

Yes. Eeveelutions are needed, but no one thought of M-Gallade wearing a tux! That would be awesome.

@Admiral_Stalfos19: would love Mega Slaking, but the stat distribution seems a bit weird to me, as especially with fighting secondary type, it should have much more of an attack buff (up to 200 even?) and less of a Sp. Def one.

EDIT: also,
760273bf600b0fa0ec409820e63cbdbd-d7ay7wl
Now Water/Fighting, I'll fill in stats soon unless others have suggestions?

EDIT: Thanks for the suggestions, the stats are now: 100/140/100/108/80/100 = 628

(I thought standing upright he seemed like he would be much faster)

If Mega Samurott is going to gain Fighting; his attack stat should increase about 30-40ish (considering that most Fighting moves, save for HP Fighting and Focus Blast [not putting in Sphere b/c he doesn't learn it] are Physical]. Special can probably go up about 20-30ish. Or in a way, use Mega Lucario as an example for its distribution. Not sure if his speed should be raised, as base 70 is still going to be slow.

Anyway, some stuff.
mega_dragonite_y_by_phatmon66-d6uu99o.pn
@Pchi: Yes, all of the Megas thus far received offensive boosts.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I'd rather not shave too much of the S.Df cause Mega Slaking CAN use it, but what I'll do is get rid of the S. At boost and transfer that to Atk instead.

New stat spread would look something like this: 150/200/110/95/105/110. Would that be better?

EDIT: As for Mega Samurott, I'd say throw 30-40 in Speed; that should help it catch it to the rest of the metagame somewhat. Then I'd probably put 20-30 in each attacking stat and any leftovers in Defense.

bump after a while in the form of...
gooodra_mega_evolution_by_spice5400-d6u8
I was thinking it would either retain its pure Dragon typing, or having water added (with the goo?). In terms of stats: 90/100/100/150/170/90 = 700.

Thoughts?

I think it could also do with an increased DEF stat to abuse his signature ability more.

Dragon/Water would be neat, though I think it's a worse typing defensively that pure dragons.

fair enough, though I did increase its DEF by 30. Anyhoo bump in the form of the much needed...
commission__traein_17_by_mtc_studios-d6l

Probably becoming Normal?Fighting, with its stats being: 170/160/95/65/120/30 (also, Iron Fist as a new ability?)

Not really. Pure Dragon mons are weak to Ice, but not Water/Dragon mons - and both are weak to Fairies and other Dragons. Also, aside from losing the resistances to Grass (which is no big deal) and Electric, they only benefit from the Water typing, doubling their resistance to Water and Fire moves while also halving the damage from Steel.

Also, nice MegaLax, Empol. Still want to know why it didn't get Slack Off yet, though.

I'm joining the bandwagon.

Disclaimer: none of the images below belong to me, but rather to the wonderful artists that drew them. Though not all of them depict the following Megas exactly as I imagined them XD

 • 2 weeks later...

Might as well add some more stuff
maximusexe-truth-behind-ideals-mega-resh

(Not exactly what I envisioned, but kinda close. Depending if we get an Unova remake, might get one; we'll have to see)

Stat-wise, more attacking power, some speed boosts (though Reshi does have options for speed boosting in Flame Charge and Tailwind, base 90 does let it down at times, especially with White Kyurem outclassing it at times) and defenses. Not sure on exact amounts though.

mega_hydreigon_by_theangryaron-d6jtl5q.p

(Already mentioned Dragonite earlier on, and Tyranitar/Metagross/Salamence/Garchomp already got Megas; this needs one. Goodra can wait.)
As much as I'd like to see Mega Eeveelutions, Gamefreak will have to design 8 of them; 1 for each family (and that's not counting if they add more in another generation). But let's show one anyway.
coloring_espeon_mega_evo_by_naruttebayo6

Keep Magic Bounce on it when it Megas; give it stronger SpAtk and Speed, alongside better defenses.

Go Espy.
Mega Flygon

Ground / Bug

Contrary

110 Atk (+10) / 90 Def (+10) / 90 SpA (+10) / 100 SpD (+20)  / 150 Spd (+50)

It's gonna be real speedy looking. Looking more like a dragonfly.

Want to run a Special Set?

- Draco Meteor

- Earth Power

- Flamethrower

- Giga Drain

Or something.

Physical set?

- Super Power

- Earthquake

- Thunder Pwnch

- Fire Pwnch

Lots of options besides these, really.

Mixed? WHY NOT BOTH!

- Super Power

- Draco Meteor

- Earthquake

- Rock Slide

This probably isn't as good.

This is clearly not a broken idea.

Also Mega Pikachu

d69be2b1178c74e0a37708597c2b091a.png

Electric

Fur Coat

Only Pokemon to get +300 stats on mega evolution. Because Pikachu.

115 Atk (+60) / 100 Def (+60) / 115 SpA (+65) / 100 SpD (+50) / 155 Spd (+65)
