Love Stage!

With a father who's a singer, a mother who's a movie star, and an older brother Shougo who's the lead vocalist for the super-popular band "The Crusherz," Sena Izumi, an otaku college student, is the only dull one born into this super famous and talented family. He loves "Magical Girl LalaLulu" and is working hard to become a mangaka, but one day he winds up appearing in a TV commercial he just can't turn down. There, he's reunited with Ichijou Ryouma, the super-popular young actor he costarred with on a project ten years prior.

Very surprised with how this turned out. Though considering it is really only my first look into something remotely like a legit yaoi...

I don't want anything too intense (though as long as I take my female fanservice/yuri, there's really nothing wrong with it), and I want to laugh like the first episode. It wasn't really funny, but it was decent.

Midway through first episode. Has been funny so far.

Had to stop to look up who voices the main character because it sounded familiar. Turns out it's the same person who voices Nagisa in Free! Because of course it is.

Wow. I'm honestly surprised I'm not the only one watching this. I'll probably stick with this all the way through, because I'm the first one to admit I don't watch these kinds of shows for how well they're written (not to say that this badly written, cause it isn't, I'm just sayin').

Anyway I just want to warn you I looked this up, and Google Images had some manga pictures that made it look like this might get more intense later. Just a warning.

Man, how can that be shounen ai and not straight up yaoi.

Actually. If it was girls I'd be thinking differently. No more double standards.

If it isn't technically hentai, I might be okay with it. Unless it ends up more badly written. I don't know. I only saw one episode. Probably because that's all that aired.

So I read a comment and got interested enough to actually look up the full plot of the show...

With that... unique... knowledge in mind...

The manga may be considered hentai because there's two scenes halfway through it, but I'm not sure if they can even air it, so it may just be referred to in the anime like you see in a lot of American comedies.

It's a little raunchy, yeah, but they'll probably gloss over it. From the parts I read around it, though, it's actually used for comedic effect.

EDIT: nevermind, there's a lot of sex here. uh... good thing this is only 10 episodes, RIGHT?

Well, it is listed as a shounen ai, which focuses more, if not solely, on the relationship and emotional development between the two characters. While it can have sex in it, it's not the main focus like yaoi usually is. That being said wikipedia lists it as a a yaoi manga, not shounen ai like the anime is, so I believe it is safe to assume they will only gloss over any sex scenes, if they even include it.
