Nicο
Sakura Chiyo confesses to her crush, Nozaki-kun, but he mistakes her as a fan! Unable to convey her feelings, what happens when he invites her to his house? Find out in this hilarious series! Could easily be one of the most funny anime this season, it's no wonder it reminds me so much of Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to, regardless of whether they both deal with creating manga. I see this as something pretty shoujo-like (It isn't actually one, mind you), and I do know that Nozaki making shoujo manga is partially the reason, but there are just various other things that make it seem like one. Perhaps it's also just spoofing that target audience's general tropes. I don't see much merit in the romance department, but at least it isn't such a perverted form of humor, and it's funny enough that I just can't pass it up. Rodrigo
Chiyo is so hazukachi, my heart went doki doki. Weebness aside, this looks really fun to watch and comparable to Mangaka-san, except the roles are inverted.

Nicο
I smell a romantic comedy.I've had enough of that actually watching Engaged. But okay. Awesome, isn't it?
Thar
Awesome, isn't it? Oh yes. I'm all about romcoms, so this will be my fix for the season. Not to mention Sakura's a dream~
Rapidfire
I actually got a good laugh out of this. I mean I def feel like it's super cliche, but ya know romance animes usually are like this.
Rodrigo
Why are people so bothered by cliché stuff anyway? They're cliché because they're successful. Originality is good, but how original can you be in a romcom? This'll be a very fun watch :
Nicο
Oh yes. I'm all about romcoms, so this will be my fix for the season. Not to mention Sakura's a dream~ Yeah, I think she's the cutest thing in anime this month~ (so far) Why are people so bothered by cliché stuff anyway? They're cliché because they're successful. Originality is good, but how original can you be in a romcom? This'll be a very fun watch :3 Yeah, very much so. Well. It should usually only bother someone if you don't really like the cliche. Or even if you don't really care much but keep seeing it a lot. I'm more than down for it.
Rapidfire
Nawh I've just read/watched the same thing too much.
Nicο
This is actually the one anime just starting up that I find really weird to talk about cliches. The way I saw it, it looks to be parodying general shoujo anime/manga tropes, hence why there are even so many cliches, not just it being a romcom. I don't think it's a bad thing in any way this time. xD I mean, we know it isn't actually a shoujo. Those are not just ordinary bishounen. No, they don't look that exaggerated, but certainly not what you'd always be seeing in a shounen. But lol @ that one girl that didn't show up yet. Could very easily be wrong, but Nozaki making a shoujo manga himself, even if it was a pretty random thing for him, lends itself well to making fun of some of the cliches, too. Thar
Am I the only one who thinks Nozaki is a watered-down adaptation of Aito?
Rodrigo
Am I the only one who thinks Nozaki is a watered-down adaptation of Aito? Nah, they're not the same IMO. Aito is 100% perverted.
Thar
Nah, they're not the same IMO. Aito is 100% perverted. That's what I meant by watered-down: non-perverted.
Rodrigo
That's what I meant by watered-down: non-perverted. Oh, then I guess? Nozaki is the opposite of Aito in the sense that he's shy and Aito is open, but I guess both of them think about love too much.
Thar
And they're both manga artists, so there's that.
Nicο
I know Aito being the way he is was good for some great laughs, but I already prefer the non-perverted version. I know they're kinda similar themselves (what Rod said Totally unnecessary link), yes, if their shows are a different kind of comedy, yet I still got a Mangaka-san vibe from this, and I even said " regardless of whether they both deal with creating manga." Desu the Blue Nerd
Yes, this will be great for my comedy fix this season. I'm already liking this more than Mangaka just on the grounds that the OP and ED aren't completely unbearable. I'm actually really liking Monthly Girls' OP. Also, I prefer Nozaki's more deadpan nature. It's what I was sort of hoping out of Mangaka and although it was still good this suits my tastes a bit more. Also, I really don't get much of the impression that Aito and Nozaki are very similar at all. Saying they're both manga artists is just too loose of a connection to get anything out of. Are you just like everybody else you work with?
Nicο
Well... yeah you know what, I need to think more carefully sometimes. Not even "thinking too much about love" is all that similar, when they think of it in completely different ways, so I'm going to have to actually not agree with that. Although tbh it didn't even seem like that great a comparison in the first place, being stuck on the same sentence as why they are so different. Agro
I liked it, though my opinion aligns mainly with Rapid. Why are people so bothered by cliché stuff anyway? They're cliché because they're successful.Because clichés are often tired and unrealistic.Originality is good, but how original can you be in a romcom?Very original if people tried more often. Clichés are often used because they're easy to use. People know them and sometimes it can be hard to not jump back to them because of how prevalent they are. That doesn't meant there aren't loads of other options available. Rodrigo
Strong contender for best comedy show of this season. Really love the humor and the characters, everyone is amazingly hilarious.
Thar
So Mikoto is basically a semi-tsundere Tamaki with red hair. Also... I never thought of people watching to be that inspirational. I should do that more often.
Agro
This show's opening is something I think I could listen to for hours on end. Show started bucking clichés this episode and it was absolutely amazing. And Mikorin is adorable
Agro
Can confirm, Mikorin is most adorable. Also this show hasn't failed to make me laugh out loud yet.
Thar
Sakura is still mai waifu this season, but seeing Mikorin as a compulsive dating sims gamer made his character much more interesting. Also, Nozaki with bunny ears = adorbs. Also also, all my yes to Nozaki's next manga being yaoi.
Agro
Latest episode was absolutely hilarious. Couldn't stop laughing through the rooftop scene.
