Constellars July 2014 Banlist (TCG only, may post OCG version later)

NOTE: The side deck IS NOT a side deck, they are cards I'm still considering, as I have space in my deck (all have proven themselves through various testing (for main deck at least), but I just cant decide which is better)

 

Order isn't exact.

1x Rasalhague (Has saved me many times, reluctant to cut it. Can revive Sombre while providing banish fodder)

2x Sheratan (Searches Sombre/Algiedi, or if needed Pollux/Kaus)

2x MST (Testing has proven these are not needed in the main deck, I just put them there, because people have been maindecking Constellar hate at my locals due to how well I've been doing there lately (particularly junk like Rivalry of Warlords, or And the Band Played On)

1x Pot of Dichotomy (Through testing, Ive found myself burning through my hand really quickly, this helps repair that)

1x 50 (Deals with those damn hands and is more readily accessible than a pleiades)

Considering Cards:

 

Pot of Dichotomy (Increased chance of drawing it when I need it, but also comes at the cost of dead drawing, or drawing it too early)

Pot of Duality (Increased consistency, but sacrifices my extra deck options, first time Ive actually considered Duality in this deck, might not be needed at all)

Soul Charge (used to run @2, but Ive never actually.. well.. used it, might put it back in if we ever get Noden, but it has never legitly helped me)

Wiretap/Trap Stun (Still debating on which of these to put in, used Wiretap previously)

Call of the Haunted (Self-Explanatory, I mainly used this to revive a Kaus or Sombre, (or in some cases, an Honest to bounce back to hand)

 

Extra Deck Considerations:

 

Fairy Cheer Girl (Weak, but provides draw power, plus, if we ever get Noden, him + Sombre can pull this off easily for a +1

Blade Armor Ninja (Double Pollux scenarios, happens a lot to me for w.e reason)

Shark Fortress (like Ninja, but stronger and doesnt need double pollux, but its rank 5, it'd be one or the other if I do decide to put in double attackers)

Leviair (Helps reuse monsters spent by Sombre, this was originally in my very first constellar build, I thought I'd give it another chance, but there is so many other good options)

Amaterasu (Serves same purpose as leviar, but stronger, and a 3 mat, but can also put them directly back into my hand instead)

82 (2k pop, better than Cowboy, plus, Tenki is in here so it'd be immune to attacks often)

80 (Iunno why I put this here, maybe Im just anticipating things)

 

Of course, I could always just slap in a second 101, or just wait for Castel, but both options sound costly, and I sure as hell am not forking out 90 for an Exciton, unless I get lucky with the mega-tins.

 

So yeah, thoughts/comments/suggestions are welcome, I'll try and consider everything before weighing the options and making the final decision.

the extra deck card should be an exciton knight.

 

i think rasalhague is mediocre, i think you'd be better off replacing it with a bear as it's an extra option if you need to quickly get over a monster and then i suppose wiretap is a good choice for the last card in the main.

It would be exciton, but its wayyyyyyyyy out of my budget. (90 bucks for something Im rarely going to make is just going to make me regret it later, I'll gladly wait for a reprint)
