Hello everyone. It's Kirito-san here to bring you an interesting idea for a Pokemon Tournament. This is my first tournament so please bear with me if I make mistakes. So my idea is like this, how about we have a Montotype Tournament. For all of you who don't know what Monotype battles are, it is a Pokemon team specifically based on just one type. For example, say you wanted to use a Water Monotype Team your team would have Pokemon that would have the Water typing, this also includes Dual-Typed Pokemon like Whiscash or Gyrados.
Now that we've covered the introduction, let's go into the rules shall we.

1. All Smogon Rules apply. For those of you who don't know the rules, they can be found through this link,
http://www.smogon.com/xyhub/tiers All tiers up to OU are allowed. No Ubers.

2. All battles must be shown to me. There should be an option to save your battle at the bottom screen. Copy and past the url when it comes up.
Anyone who violates the rules will be disqualified immediately and will be unable to participate in the next tournament.

UPDATE: Application has been changed. You don't have to specify your tier for your team.
ANNOUNCEMENT: You are indeed allowed to change your type if you want to change it. You must change your type before the deadline and must notify me. Also, I will set up a poll asking if you enjoyed the tournament and if you would like me to do more tournaments. Thank you all for entering and have a wonderful evening.

if it's on showdown i'll play, as much as i dislike monotype.

also no legendaries is an illogical rule on showdown where anyone can access them

i know what tiers are, but why do we need to specify a tier to enter? presumably i'll be using an ou team but that may include pokemon from lower tiers.

It makes things more balanced. The only tier thats not allowed is Ubers, which are really overpowered Pokemon. Now when you specify a tier such as OU you can use Pokemon from lower tiers. Your team doesn't have to contain Pokemon t hat are ALL in OU. So you're fine. Also, I removed the No Legendaries rule as I remembered that they do have Legendaries in other tiers such as Latias and Latios, both in OU.

i'm not getting you. ps's standard monotype is "ou monotype" where basically anything that's not uber is legal. therefore it shouldn't be necessary to specify a tier because all teams should be ou teams.

Dragon's gonna be fun to face....

Also I'm glad this is on Showdown, I don't really want to take the time and raise up a team of mono-type on the game.

This would mean more to me and get me more hyped if this were a tournament where I actually have to put the time and effort in to raise a team.
