Simping For Hina
Not everyone who is gay or bisexual is part of the community. So, no. Not everyone is part of the community, they could just identify as whatever they identify as.The community is anyone who decides to be affiliated with it pretty much. It is meant as a group title for those who want to fight for rights, need support, and just want to promote it pretty much.
Goose
Okay I like that definition of the community. Thanks
Agro
I said that it's a shame we can't use it because it's become related to objects due to history. Lunar responded saying it's related to objects. 10/10 quality contribution that wasn't insulting at all It's not really a "shame" that we can't use it, though. Although we still use "it" when referring to a baby of undetermined sex.
Catman25
since the semantics are already shitty, let's get rid of gender labels all together LGB sounds good to me, why is sexual orientation still being lumped with gender
Madsen
since the semantics are already shitty, let's get rid of gender labels all together LGB sounds good to me, why is sexual orientation still being lumped with gender Yeah but then trans people feel left out, since some won't necessarily label themselves as lesbian, gay or bi. Honestly the whole naming thing is so unnecessarily overfocused, it's the least of the issues people from it will encounter in today's society. Tbf just adopt a generic yet cool sounding name. "The Community" sounds dope.
Catman25
I'm talking larger scale than just amending the title though. people present themselves on different spots of the gender spectrum, so even though we're progressing towards more of a ternary gender system, even lumping all non-binary individuals under the third gender is a little unfair. each person has the propensity to exhibit what are today seen as masculine and feminine qualities, regardless of biological sex (of that which there are only three as far as I know). why can't we all just live on different spots of the spectrum without placing a label that may or not be accurate? which begs the question of sexuality. for some, it's the parts downstairs that get them off, for others, I think gender and presentation have more of an effect. today obviously the common cases of sexuality are quite simple when a majority of the population is binary cissexual/cisgendered, but as more people start crossing gender and sex boundaries, the hairier sexuality becomes to pinpoint. so really, if none of that makes sense, I think what a lot of people question in the first place is, why such a community needs to exist in the first place. I think lgbtq is gaining a lot of steam and notoriety for being different, but at the same time, whether they try to focus on it or not, it's their being the same human beings as everyone else that should be the main point. Goose
I think it is a shame. It's always a shame when you have something meant to do something but you can't use it for that purpose because of a stupid reason. That's a damn shame
Zimerick-Art
Here's the other thing I have. We need a solid name for the community as a whole IMO. LGBTQ*? Or maybe LGBTIQ+ or just LGBTQ+? Or LGBTTQ+? I never know what to use. There is an acronym used to include a couple more sexualities and gender identities but it's not widely used in the community: QUILTBAG, or QUILTBAGS to include straight people too. Q - Questioning or Queer U - Unidentified or Undetermined I - Intersex L - Lesbian T - Transgender or Transsexual B - Bisexual or Bicurious, Bigender A - Asexual, Allies, and all Aromantic sub-sexualities G - Gay, Genderfluid or Genderqueer S - Straight And for others there can be: PODS P - Pansexual or Polysexual O - Omnisexual D - Demisexual S - Skoliosexual Maybe there could even be POD QUILTBAGS! Lunar Origins
Sorry, I guess I only glanced over that when I read, as I was tired at the time of posting and didn't thoroughly analyze it. Stupid Lunar. ...I fully support POD QUILTBAGS as my acronym of choice.
