It's Wind Waker Link that's grown-up.  That's my vibe anyways.  The game looks awesome, it looks like it takes place after Spirit Tracks because the Link looks like an Adult Toon Link in terms of clothing and hair style, and he's wielding frickin' energy arrows and is fighting an advanced mecha!

buy a wii u

Here's the thing: I've been going by a certain budget for about 3 years now. The plan after I recieve my paycheck is to transfer money to my savings so that I have at least $100 in my checking. After that, I take out $60 in cash for spending on anything that isn't gas or streaming apps.

Now as far as the consoles I own:

My PS3 cost me an ENTIRE paycheck, which left me with less than $30 for the next two weeks (no money was transfered to my savings.)

My 2DS was $30 cheaper at Target than anywhere else, and I just barely managed to get enough excess money in within spending budget (again, no money was transfered to my savings.)

Money in my savings is used for car payments and college tuition (which, btw, are pretty important.)

If I recall correctly, the Wii-U costs over $300 (excluding any games), so the only way I can get it is if I get myself in the same hole as I did with the PS3, which was not very smart on my part. There's that, plus there's also the fact that I'm saving up for a new computer, as the one I have is pretty much done. So putting one big investment back-to-back to another, the computer has priority to a gaming console that I can only enjoy with a handful of others.

This rocked my socks. The laser lance thing was a really cool thing to see Link use and looking at the enemy he was fighting, I'm wondering if more from this game will adopt that kind of aesthetic, which would be really cool IMO.

I'm fine with the art style. That one landscape shot in itself is absolutely beautiful.

I love how Link keeps getting trappier and trappier.

Yea, I was looking at the picture and said the exact thing to my friend. Japan likes effeminate men, I guess......

I'm just happy that this E3 basically told me I made the right decision of getting a Wii U.

I knew I made the right call day one. It was always just a matter when the investment would pay off.

Anyway, it looks SO pretty. Friend compared it to Princess Mononoke and I can kind of see it.

I like to think of it as Nintendo's way of joking about how people thought Link was a girl in the original game.

Didn't you also buy a bunch of games on the console as well and said the same thing?

Said which thing?

I spend a certain amount of money on each game, assuming they'll be worth the price. I buy a console under the assumption that there will be more than a handful of games I'll want to play for it coming out years after its release.

I didn't pay for Wii U under the assumption that I was going to get games up until Mario Kart and be okay with just that.

I just buy games, assume they're worth the price, become satisfied with my purchase, rinse and repeat for all games I'm excited for.
