Trebuchet MS
Well, knowledge of how to play this game is a pre-requisite to this site, so... Start by reading the official rulebook. You can download it here. If you want a little more elaboration on certain parts of the game, you can look here for in-depth explanations. For understanding what cards are actually good, and what's in the meta, best is to go around the forum and observe various opinions and meta experiences. Excalibur the Divine
Can someone move this to the "Introductions" section?
Therrion
I wouldn't go read the rulebook. Simply YouTubing "How to play Yu-Gi-Oh!" should suffice, especially if you can find a recent one. Then just type in "Deck profile 2014" and I imagine you could find a lot of the common decks and see what cards they use. Once you see a few decks you'll realize what cards are recurring, and cards usually become common when they're good.
itachishadow5
I agree with Therrion. Youtube is how i became a player. before i was a player i had all the cards but couldn't find any videos and the cards i bought didn't come with the rulebook.
