Ren✧
Earth-7: Young Justice Initiative A DC Comics RP based on Young Justice Hosted and Co-Hosted by: ~Renegade~ & Chaos Sonic Episode 1: The Future Burns Bright! A man dressed in military attire peeked out the blinds of what had become to be labeled as 'Ops'. It was late in the morning, nearly afternoon, but none of them had shown up yet. He grumbled to himself about punctuality and the dangers of being tardy. He nervously checked again, obviously anxious for whomever was supposed to show up. As he did so, the darkly garbed figure behind him rolled his eyes. Although, it wasn't as if one would be able to see that behind his mask. "They aren't scheduled to show up until noon, Sarge." He said. Trying to get the stout, burly man to calm down. "Why don't you take a seat, try and relax?" "How can I? Huh, Jackdaw? How can I?" Sarge asked, obviously exasperated. "I don't understand what the big deal is, they're only kids." Jackdaw replied, his voice completely emotionless. "Kids that we are training to fight in a war. We shouldn't be doing that to kids." Sarge argued. "This is the safest option for them. You know that." Jackdaw argued back. He hadn't realized how upsetting the situation was for his friend. To be assigned the kids' training officer. It must remind him a lot of his army days. Training new recruits just to send them off into battle, most of them never to be seen again. "This isn't like before." He reassured. "I can promise that." With those final words Jackdaw disappeared. There was a slight 'whoosh' of a cape and in moments there was nothing left of the man but a few discarded feathers. Jackdaw's calling card. Sarge picked one up, gave it a good once over. "I hope you're right, old friend. I hope you're right." Twenty minutes later... Sarge peaked out the blinds again and was pleased to count nine heads. "Nine of them." He muttered to himself. "I'm gonna have my hands full." Each of the assembled kids varied greatly from the other. Different heights, sizes, and colors. They were sharing idle chit-chat. Most likely sharing names and exchanging pleasantries. Although, there were a few that seemed overall uncomfortable with the social gathering and a fw others that completely isolated themselves altogether. Taking a deep breath, Sarge figured that there was no better time than the present. Kicking open the main door to the ornate facility, he immediately garnered the attention of all the youths in attendance. "Line up!" He ordered. He waited as the teenagers stared at him in confusion. "Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" This second shout actually send a powerful sound wave their way, blowing their hair and loose clothing back. He then waited for them to comply.
Alright gang, let's get started. For your first posts, feel free to include how you arrived on the island and basic interactions with some of the other members. Don't expect too much posting back from other people, as we are going to be moving pretty quickly through this introductory part. However, don't be afraid to say that you 'explained pleasantries with [insert team member]" or offered a quick 'hello' to so-and-so. Then, don't forget to react to your very own personal drill sergeant and get your ass IN LINE! Glad that we are getting off the ground, but we got a long way to our destination. So let's start how I expect us to finish. Strong.
Super Chaos Sonic
Before "The Young Justice Initiative?" Jaden asked, looking at both Jackdaw and Nightingale: his superiors and even greater heroes. Jackdaw simply nodded, as he pulled up the statistics of the small cell that the Justice League had been organizing for a long time now. "Its a Special Ops cell that we've been devising for certain missions that we aren't able to work in." he said as he turned to Jaden, before turning towards Nightingale. "However...this decision is not up to me. I was given the invitation to allow you entrance. Nightingale..." The second hero crossed his arms as he walked towards Jaden, as he put his light brown suit covered hand onto his young protege's shoulder. "I've think your training is pretty much done. After all...you learned from the best...as he was taught by the best." he said with a chuckle as he backed away. "Well Jaden?" Jaden could only smirk and as he looked at the daytime dynamic duo. "Heh, seems like fun. Where do I sign up?" Arriving on the Island Dawn began to wake the city of its slumber, as the sound of a motorcycle engine was heard roaring through the streets. From one hill, Jaden on one of Nightingale's motorcycle's was launched into the air as he swerved his best around traffic in order to get to the island base. There it is....the main stage for me to test my abilities to the fullest! Jaden thought as he revved the engine even more, as he zoomed towards the docks where the boat was awaiting to take him to the island.. A few minutes later... Jaden parked the motorcycle in the garage bay of the base after departing from the boat and made his way into the correct corridor. The door was up ahead, as he walked into the room and noticed those who were also gathered. Silence was kept between all of those gathered...which allowed young Kudo to formulate some first impressions on these people.
1. A chick who seems to be covered in tattoos...nothing out of the ordinary on the outside. However with the placements of the tattoos she has, are they part of a grander trick? (!nk) 2. Another chick, this time one with a sniper rifle...and a well taken care of one at that. She's probably more suited towards long ranged attacks. This is good for this group, especially in an Ops mission. (Cait) 3. Blond haired guy. Not seeing much about him so far...so he's preferred to opt out of revealing anything yet. (Kaiser) 4. A male with a bandaged face and dressed in black. Almost seems to put Jackdaw to shame with all the dark colors and what not. However...the chains that are hanging from his hand is what's troubling me. What is the purpose? (V) 5. A ginger chick...nothing else I can tell...so her power is also being kept hidden. (Adrienne) 6. A pale skinned woman. She's been standing in that corner for quite some time now and not once as her expression shifted or changed. Why? (Marionette) 7. Black haired young man. And with the weapons he has right now...he must be quite the master with a sword. However...something just seems off. (Dragon Kin) 8. A second ginger woman. Pretty much same story as the other...power is hidden. (The Orbiter)
Once Jaden's impressions and current analysis was done, he took his seat as he remained silent. Eight...and including myself is nine. So a cell made of exactly nine of us? Not truly sure how that'll end up. he said, as he just waited for someone to break the ice. And oh how badly the ice would be broken... Twenty minutes later... The door was kicked open as Jaden jumped up suddenly. He was about to reach for the Royal Blade, but stopped when he heard the man's demand. "Line up! Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" When the second time he said this, Jaden felt a force push him back some, as he lifted his arms up to brace himself from the force. When it died down, he shook his head a bit. So this was what it felt like in an Army boot camp...no wonder his father, Ban, kept trying to threaten him with this. Nevertheless, Jaden complied as he lined up as instructed. Hälō
“Sir, aren't you going to introduce yourself to the others?” The disembodied voice of what seemed to be a woman in her late 30’s, inquired in a dull monotone. “Why bother? We already got their names.” Looking up from the screen of his wrist mounted computer, Oliver took a quick glance around the room. “Well, most of them…” His gaze flickered back and forth across the faces of his soon to be teammates. “A few of them aren't carrying cell phones. Either that or whatever they ARE carrying is probably too low-tech for me to even try and peak into.” Prior to landing on the island, Oliver wasted no time violating his teammate’s privacy by hacking into their cellular devices. Not bothering to dive into any of the juicy details, he managed to at least get a general idea about the people he would be working with. Oliver did however; notice that one of his teammates was sporting an extremely advanced security system. The boy's firewall held a shocking resemblance to impenetrable fortress of code used by the famed Jackdaw, and it managed to keep Oliver quite busy. “That doesn't mean you shouldn't try and make a good first impression, Sir. If you wish to make friends, you need to take initiative. ” The A.I persisted. Oliver sighed. “Fine Margret, if you rea-“Before he could finish his sentence, the boy was silenced by a booming voice, followed by a shock wave. "Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" Readjusting his collar from the blast, Oliver briskly stepped from the wall he had been leaning against, before falling in line with the others. His lips curled into smirk, as he waited for the man to speak; the day had finally come.
Love of Ghibli
The trip to the island itself was not that eventful. "V" was naturally being escorted by two of his family members by speed boat. They arrived on the island and the only thing that he could think about is how awesome an experience this would be. He was about to begin a new adventure. He would have the opportunity to put his family on the map. Wait...did his family even want to be on the map? Is that the goal of this whole Young Justice thing? In fact what exactly is the Justice League? Suddenly V's head was filled with nothing but questions. His curiosity was starting to get the upper hand on his enthusiasm of course no outsider would see this because his face is completely covered with bandages. V's escort waited with him while the other members of Young Justice gathered. The escorts did their duty to assess the threat level of each of the youngsters. There was nothing to be afraid. V on the other hand was uncontrollably giddy with joy! Internally he was bouncing up and down the wall with excitement. Someone with painted animals all over their body , a swordsmen, and gunslinger, someone whose aura was bright like the sun. Hmmm maybe he is the new leader? V contemplated. Who should he talk to first though? Well talk might not be the best way to describe what would happen, but still look at all the new friends to be made. When all nine had fully assembled V looked up at his escorts and they looked down. It seemed this place was on the up and up. They simply looked down at V and said in a very deadpan demeanor. Do not dishonor the family. V simply gave both of them an honest thumbs up and at that moment a portal of black flames opened up from behind the two escorts and the sunk back into the darkness. With them gone, it was time to make some new friends..... "Line up! Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" The soundwave that come from the man was most impressive. It was almost enough to knock V's hat off. Of course it was weird how his hats worked. Rarely did they ever get "knocked off." Nevertheless he quickly stood in line next to the others who proceeded to line up. When he lined up however he threw in a cartoonish salute to show his enthusiasm. Especially since his attire doesn't allow him to express that much enthusiasm.
Ren✧
Before Sin was terrible at good-byes. They were always so awkward for her. Did she just offer them a farewell and a 'see ya later' wave? Or did she go in for a hug? Why even so good bye at all? Why not just take off with no warning? That's what her dad did to her. That is what...Aisha did. Sin closed her eyes tight. No. Today was not about them, today was about her. It was about her making her mark on the world. About her taking a step towards her future. About finally doing something that was worthy of taking note. It was not about them. But wasn't it? The reason she had agreed to join was to find her. To find what had happened to the woman that was more of a mother than her own. No, no matter what Sin told herself. Today was definitely not just about her, it was about finding what had been taken away from her. Sin looked deep into her own eyes in the mirror in front of her. It was the only thing left in her room. The Justice League had already come by and brought her personal items to where she would be staying while in the program. Sin examined her grey irises. How boring. She thought about herself. Taking her contacts out of their container, she put them in. First the left one, then the right. When she looked in the mirror again no longer were her eyes a dull grey, but instead striking purple. Just as she finished, she heard a thumping from somewhere downstairs. No doubt it was her mother getting back from the night shift. Taking a deep breath, Sin gave her room a final look of farewell and made her was downstairs. "I'm headed out." She said to her mother who had her back to her daughter, leaning down over the kitchen counter. Sin heard her mother snort and turn to face her. There was a white powder just beneath her nostrils. "Where are you going?" Her mother asked, blinking dramatically as the drug began to take affect. Sin rolled her eyes at the question. Her mother could at least make an effort to pretend she gave a damn. "Don't worry about it." Sin said as she slammed the door. She had told her mother several times about the offer the Justice League had made her. Of course, it didn't exactly surprise her that her mother's mind had much use for such useless information. Not when there were drugs to be obtained and taken. Sin walked to the bus stop which she would take the airport without giving her house a second look. No doubt she wanted to appear like she didn't care about what happened to her mother. But, in the coming days when her mother would go to Sin's room to check on her, her mother would only find the mirror. And on the mirror there would be a message written in lipstick. 'I'll be back. You'd better be here.' It sounded cold, but her mother, hopefully, would understand. Understand that it meant that Sin hadn't abandoned her like everyone else in their lives had. Understand that Sin loved her, despite her flaws, and that she didn't want anything to happen to her. Understand that Sin was doing this, in part, for her. Now Sin stepped off the small ferry onto the remote island. The driver of the boat was no doubt employed by the League, no way they would risk the public becoming aware of this place. Sin made her way up the cobbled path to find a group of people around the same age. She knew that this gig would entail working with others, but she didn't realize there would be so many. As more people showed up she counted nine in total, including herself. There was one boy that carried a sword and wore an interesting pair of gloves. He stood confidently among the group, giving Sin the impression that he had received some professional training. His choice of a sword as a weapon was interesting. As a weapon, it was fairly impractical when it came matched up against guns or the like. However, she supposed he had his reasons. Sin would have to keep a close eye on him to get a better understanding of his skills. There was a girl that carried a large rifle. The make of which, Sin wasn't familiar with. The girl practically had her nose stuck straight up in the air, her gaze completely above the heads of those around her. Sin could tell that they wouldn't get along. Someone as stuck up as that was bound to clash with just about everyone. Despite this snap judgment, Sin tried to give the woman the benefit of the doubt. Standing off to the side, there was a particularly handsome young man with boyishly blonde hair. Swept to one side, he was definitely the most attractive one out of the group. But he appeared quite stand-offish. Not that Sin was one to cast judgment on that factor. Strangely, it appeared as if he was almost talking to himself and the slight smirk on his made a look like he knew something that everyone else didn't. Quite possibly the strangest one of the group was, presumably a man, that had been escorted here by a similar looking duo. Covered entirely in bandages and dark clothing, they gave off an ominous air that even put Sin on edge. However, it was the chains that Sin saw dangling amidst the young man's clothing that truly worried her. She was definitely getting a more villainous vibe from this character. The only contender for 'strangest looking', aside from the bandaged man was a woman that hauntingly moved outside the circle of people. She had an almost surreal appearance. Something that reminded Sin of a puppet. No doubt this had something to do with her powers, obviously a motif that added to her appearance and name. Sin took note of a particularly extreme looking young man. His skin was a dull orange that almost glowed in the sunlight. He had his shirt pulled up over his mouth, and interesting fashion choice for sure. Otherwise, he was dressed exceedingly well and while a bit exotic, wasn't the worst thing to look at. The remaining two were both red-headed girls. One, dressed in band merch, looked to be quite possibly the most approachable of the group. Sin offered a quick smile and an approving looking of her attire. She reminded Sin of a few friends she had left behind in New York. The other woman looked a bit haughty, but not nearly as stuck up as the woman with a rifle. Just as Sin was about to make her way over to the woman in band merch when a powerful soundwave rushed over her. "Well what are you waiting for?! I said, LINE UP!" Not truly reacting, Sin rolled her eyes in direction of the military man with close cropped that had given the order before lazily complying. Cherz
Caitlyn had prepared for her departure long before it was time. Finally, the day had arrived. It felt like months waiting for a call that would never come. Although her skills were great, her parents were worried and told her it wasn't too late to pull out. With an eye roll, Caitlyn gave a laugh. Its not like she ever listened to her parents on these matters anyways. Her parents knew it too, and they were sad they couldn't stop Caitlyn's thirst for adventure and justice. Eventually, they packed her a bad, containing some clothes, a bit of food, and mostly ammo. Caitlyn set off with a swift goodbye. She watched as her parents shrunk, but she was sure she would keep contact. On her way to the airport, she thought about her life. Everything she has done was leading up to this moment. She had been training her abilities as a marksmen ever since the moment she took up the rifle and hunted criminals. She was thirsty for this new life, this new start. The only flawed thing about this idea was she would have to work with others, most likely supers. She envied people with powers, but not much can be done. She was only a girl with a gun, and she made it this far. Caitlyn boarded her plane and awaited to see the events unfold. Later on Caitlyn emerged off the ferry and stepped on to the little island. She sighed loudly as she saw the others. It wasn't just four or three. It was nine. Caitlyn looked irritated, but held her tongue. She glanced around the group to see if any were worth talking to. She scanned the group and instantly decided three people she didn't like. !nk, Marionette, and Adrienne all seemed like people she wouldn't get along with. !nk's excessive tattoos left a bitter taste in Caitlyn's mouth. All her life she was recommended against tattoos, for the risk outweighed the nonexistent reword. Marionette was like a creepy little doll. Caitlyn never saw a point in having dolls, and this persona was just...weird. Then there was that stereotypical red headed punk girl. Caitlyn never got along with that type of girl at her school, so why would now be any different. Caitlyn continued her sweep until someone of interest caught her eye. Jaden was someone that didn't stick out like a sore thumb. She approached him quickly, eager to get away from the group of people she found irritating. She didn't know how to stat the conversation, but they would be a team anyways, so she might as well try. "Hello, I'm Caitlyn." She said, offering her hand. Her thick accent didn't impair her speech, but it did seem to hold a snobbish vibe to it. She thought he seemed familiar. He kind of resembled a detective she had admired...what was his name? Ban Kudo? She seemed to find a slight resemblance. Caitlyn was surprised when she heard the shout "LINE UP," but she simply followed the command, making sure to stay near Jaden. D.A._Sakuyamon
Before It had been a few days after her awakening from her heroic induced coma when she heard a knock on the door. Still a bit stiff, she went to get it as she was the only one home. Opening the door a crack she looked out to see who it was. "Hello, Your Denila correct? I'v been sent here by the Justice League to question you about what happened last week. May I come in?" Denila, eyed the person and pondered if she should let him in. A few news reporters had come over to question here about the event as well. Perhaps this person was just another reporter looking for a scoop. So, figuring that questioning the person first was the only option, in a rather matter of fact harsh tone she replied. "Would please show me some Identification as proof that you're from the Justice League. If you do not, I will dismiss you as if you were a reporter and slam this door in your face." The man didn't like Denila's tone and though what he knew that what he was about to do was unprofessional he decided that showing a bit of force was necessary. Backing away from the door slightly, he raised his right hand and curled his fingers until only the index finger was pointing out. Moving it slowly, he tap the door with it. The door was blasted off it's hinges sending Denila along with it. The man stepped into the house and walked to where both the door and Denila had settled. " I apologies for the damages to both the home and yourself. However, it was necessary as from your tone a business card wouldn't have sufficed. I will personally pay for the damages. Anyways, I'm not actually here to discuss what happened when you saved your classmates. No, the Justice League has a good idea on what actually happened and how you saved them. I'm here because we find that you show promise and we'd like to recruit you to join "The Young Justice Initiative". It's a program for young people such as yourself that show a want to protect. Ah before I go any further, you can call me Palm." Palm waited patiently for Denila to respond. Denila watched the man press his right index finger on the door. She had no time to react when she along with the door was blasted into the living room. With a slight groan she was thankful she didn't do her hair today otherwise she'd be royally pissed. She didn't bother pushing the door off of her cause the guy was talking now. She had to admit, he was pretty smart. She indeed wouldn't have taken a simple business card as a means of identification. Though maybe he could have done that when she wasn't behind the door. Hearing that she was being recruited to join this "Young Justice Initiative" piked her interest. Though based on what he said it seemed she'd be working with others. That didn't sit well with her. She wasn't known at school for her teamwork and didn't join any teams even though she showed talent in a variety of them. After the man mentioned that he be called Palm she decided it was time to get up. With some effort she pushed the door off of her not bothering to ask for help. Dusting her self off and making sure she was injured she got up and faced Palm. "So this "Young Justice Initiative" means I'll be working in a team?, To help the inferior? If so I have two things to say to that. The first is I don't work well with others. However, the second is that I'm all for helping the inferior. So much so that I'll try to work in a team if it mean I can do it all the time. Though really, I'll be the only one you'll need." She smiled at that last remark. Palm didn't like that superior attitude Denila had and understood now why they insisted on him to be the one to recruit her. "You will be on a team yes. And you will be saving other people." He made sure to not say inferior. This girl seemed to light up at the very word. She'll learn not to or else her teammates may end up harming her. This was coming from experience but he didn't have time to go around and have unnecessary flashbacks. "Welp, now that the questions have been asked and you'v accepted all I need is word from your parents. Just as a final nail in the coffin since unlike some of the other picks, you actually have a relatively normal life." Denila listed as Palm answered her questions and she was in bliss until he said normal. Putting the word normal in the same sentence as her unless is wasn't directed at her was a no no and she might have done more then slap him had he not raised up one of his fingers. She backed instantly though she still had a fierceness in her left eye. Dont Call ME NORMAL!...... Current A few months later, Denila had gotten the green light and so she was sent off on boat to her new home possibly. Though that was a passing thought. What she was really thinking about was her surrounding. Making sure to remember them with as much detail as possible. She may end up needing to teleport here in an emergency. This was assuming there wasn't anything that blocks teleportation. Her arrival was long enough to do her hair in the way she liked. She walked along till she came across 8 other recruits, all roughly around her age. Some looked normal so she dismissed them, those that didn't got a smirk from her. She decided to hang to the right as far as possible cause even though her right eye didn't look impaired, it was. She didn't bother with saying anything cause it'd just be words her teammates wouldn't like to hear. "Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" Said a man wearing full camo. At the words, "LINE UP". Denila was hit with a shocking force strong enough to undo her hairdo. Her long crimson hair fell down to her waist along with the many red and white roses that had caringly been placed. Her mouth curled upward giving her a gnarled expression. She picked up two of the roses, one red and one white. Though she was pissed, she thought it better not to start anything and obeyed. She didn't want another incident like the one with that recruiter Palm.
StealthyTyranitar
Adrienne sat in her now empty room. It was only a few months ago that she had sat in the same room, in just the same physical state. But yet, there was a difference that had been made in those few short months. The bare walls were filled with emotions: pain, happiness, depression, exhaustion, and now, a new one: remorse. She would miss all the emotions stored within the walls. She would miss throwing her self down on the surprisingly comfortable bed after a long and hard training session. She would miss sitting and talking to Gammafist, who seemed to always know what to do and what to say, about her family. But there were days when she was alone, as her father-figure was a hero himself and could not devote his life solely to her. She wished that he could, but she did not have anger against him for having other duties. She understood that just like her, there were people out there who needed saving. And that was why she was sitting in a room with no bed, on the floor. She wanted to save others, to make up for what she had done. Gammafist came in and sat down silently next to Adrienne. "Are you ready?" Adrienne looked at him. "Ready to meet some people your age?" Adrienne became at first happy, then felt a twinge of sadness. "The first people even close to my age since-""I know. And I also know that you're ready. Ready to save lives. Ready to live without me." He was right. She was ready to leave behind the past. But leaving the past behind is not forgetting it.NowAdrienne was dropped off in front of the large tower by Gammafist himself. "Visit me soon!" She yelled to the retreating craft. He waved in return. Adrienne took a deep breath, and walked into the building. She found quite a few commodities, a few cute boys, but nothing of significance. That was, until a girl that strikingly resembled her sister nodded to her. Adrienne smiled at her and started walking towards her. She had a slightly different dressing style than Adrienne, but who wants to befriend themselves. "Hi, my name is Adrie-" She was cut off by a booming voice "Line up! Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" She quickly stepped behind the Sabrina-look-alike hoping that the line would form right there. She was uncomfortable with a large burly man yelling at her, as she wasn't used to it. She hoped that he wasn't going to be anyone significant in her time in the Young Justice.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Mary woke with a start, a drop of sweat falling down her cheek. She woke like this every single morning since her father died, reliving the moments in which she simply was not strong enough to stop the killer. Each time, it felt like the first, as that is the cruel nature of dreams, and each time, she was powerless to stop Deadshot. Her eyes now open, she stared up at the ceiling, a dull gray. "How fitting," she muttered as she turned her head toward the side of the bed facing away from the wall. The clock read 8:30. "I guess I should get moving..." Turning a wrist upward, a glowing blue thread extended from each finger, trailing slowly toward the ceiling. The tendrils of light stuck onto an array of points on the ceiling, each slightly bleached from being touched by the Marionette's Meta-Threads in the past. The threads shortened as she concentrated, pulling herself to a sitting position. Using her own muscles to lift herself up to a stand, she stepped toward her dresser and pulled out a dress. "A little formal, but I suppose it shall do." Slipping into the outfit, she turned to the door, and stepped out. Mary had been living at Ops for a few weeks at this point, after being bounced around from base to base underneath League protection. Life was relatively simple, mostly consisting of in-facility schooling and training, but that was to end today. Today was the first day of the Young Justice Initiative. Largely due to a general lack of friends in the past years, Mary had taken to talking to herself, but only did so when she was alone so as to avoid suspicion, "It might be interesting to be part of a team... Perhaps I may even fight him." Mary walked to the base of operations' meeting hall, and waited for the rest to arrive. later Mary found herself outside of the group once again, this time completely unintentionally. The others seemed to be acquainting quite well. Mary took a special note of the girl with the rifle, who only glanced at her briefly, but did so with an expression of utter disdain. Looking around at the others, she only recognized one face: Oliver Strider. She did not personally know him, but his father knew hers, so she had seen him a few times when she was younger. The boy had changed quite a lot. The expression of arrogance was gone - no. It was definitely still there. But now it seemed as if he had earned it. Hoping to establish at least some kind of relationship before group training had started, Mary took a step toward Oliver, but before another could be made Sarge called out his order: "Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" Sighing, Marionette stepped into line, raising an arm to readjust her hair that was cast amiss by the shout.
ANBU
Before Draco awoke with an intense feeling of cold, his skin having become further scaled than what it normally was, with his claws retracting and hair lengthening, his state subconsciously having changed to that of his full Draconic form. he turned to look at his surroundings in the darkness that plagued the night. As he scanned his surroundings the patterns on nearby wooden walls and the design of the room reminded him of the traditional ship which he had asked to be transported in after agreeing to join "The Young Justice Initiative". Draco stood up slowly from his bed which he had made from a few layers of blankets in a spare room on the ship, preferring it over an actual bed, finding himself completely off at sea, no land mass visible in any direction. Draco sighted the captain easily, being someone he believed worked directly under the Justice League to be the one leading him to the island on the ship, continuing to glance around as he returned to his room, his body returning to an average temperature instead of the coldness held by his other form. Draco lit a small fire on a stand he had brought along made of rocks, slowly moving his tongue over the fire before attempting to bite it, the fire leaving no damage upon him, though at the same time holding almost no taste. Draco pondered over what the fire tasted like, being akin to charcoal of the actual wood from which the flames were burning, this obsession with tasting the flames being something he held ever since returning to his normal form, having been at sea for over a month by this time constantly attempting to find a different taste in flames he had stoked with firewood that had been aboard the ship. Now The hip which Draco was aboard arrived at the island, marking the time for him to get off and begin to head towards the facility referred to as 'Ops', the location where he would be heading to begin his training along with others around his age. Draco tightened the tie around the neck of his shirt slightly, the section over his mouth keeping it hidden from view, with his gloves causing the only part of his skin visible to be that of his face, which would seem to glow and orange-like shade with the scales of it. Draco Pulled on a modified Sheath, holding one on each side of his back in which he placed the wooden blades he constantly kept with him, the entirety of the swords being wooden being something unseen with only the handles visible whilst sheathed. As Draco finished readying his attire and few personal belongings that he kept on him he headed off, arriving at the facility known as 'Ops' before most of the other initiates into the program that would be joining him, the most peculiar of those arrivals being a male that seemed to be covered in bandages, with his clothing being entirely black, the only other person that seemed to look so different from the rest of the group being a female whose skin seemed extremely pale, her appearance as a whole being similar to a doll. Draco moved to go and greet the male who was covered in bandages as the two larger males who appeared similar that accompanied him disappeared, however as he began to move once the others had arrived he would hear the sound of a door being opened forcefully. Draco turned to face the man as they began to talk, not properly hearing their first order and waiting for them to repeat before hearing them shout. "Well what are you waiting for? I said, LINE UP!" As the man shouted Draco felt a burst of air seemingly caused by the man's shout, sending his long spiky hair up behind him before it fell back in place, just as spiky as when the burst of sound came, though the ponytail like style it was held in seeming to come undone. Draco moved over to where others of the group were standing in a line after this shout, waiting to find out who the man was and whether he was some kind of leader at the facility they would likely soon be entering. Ren✧
Sarge impatiently waited for the group to scramble into what they called a 'line'. Had this sorry lot been in the military, they would have been reprimanded for the askew excuse, but Sarge figured that it was more trouble than it was worth to give them a geometry lesson. Marching down the steps that led to Ops, he walked in front of the group, starting from the first person in line to the last. As he did so, the boy with bandages offered him a salute. In response, Sarge get up in the boys face and growled. "Do you think that's funny, son?" Sarge asked, daring the boy to answer. Realizing his mistake in giving a teenager a shot to be a smart-ass, Sarge quickly moved on and directed his attention to the entire group. "Welcome to your Base of Operations, or Ops. Some of you may already be acquainted with the establishment, most of you are not. You have each been assigned a room. The men's wing will be on your left as you enter the building and the women's will be on your right. While you are here, there will be no inappropriate behavior, inside the bedroom or out." He fixed the group with an accusatory stare as if they had already been planning an orgy for the evening. "Furthermore, you will be regimented a training schedule, where you will not only hone your own individual abilities but also your abilities to work as a unit. I will be your long term training adviser, Sarge. You will me address as Sir and nothing else." Sarge made a point to stare each individual in the eye as he gave his spiel. He didn't want there to be any misunderstandings. "Now," He began again, his voice slightly softer than before. "You will be allotted some free time here directly to become acquainted with one another and visit your assigned rooms. Remember, there will be no boys allowed in the girls' rooms and no girls allowed in the boy's room. Do I make myself clear?" After asking that question, he waited for an affirmative from all parties involved before moving on. "Currently is is 12:05. I expect each and every one of you to make yourselves present at the continued briefing in the Command Room at 13:00 sharp. If you need help finding the designated room there are information panels located around Ops that will give you a light guided directory to such an establishment. Do not be late." After making sure that his orders were concise, he uttered one final word. "Dismissed."
Alright, here is the fun part. You guys will get some character interaction, check out your rooms, and maybe explore a bit of Ops. For anyone that is getting any wild ideas about hacking into Ops' mainframe, think again. The place has more security locks than the Pentagon. Not to mention, they've got their own AI that is completely devoted to keeping prying eyes out. The Information Panels that Sarge mentioned are integrated right into the wall, they are touch screen and once you mark the area you wish to go to, a light will appear on the wall that will guide you to where you want to go(similar to Ender's Game if anyone has seen/read it). The rooms have been furnished to your particularly style. You will be allotted 3 or 4 posts in this posting round to allow for in depth character interaction. Should things dwindle down to a boring pace I will quickly take control and move us to the next part of the plot. Have fun!
Super Chaos Sonic
After the "GREAT" lecture heard from Sarge, Jaden was one of the first to leave that room to explore his own personal living quarters. And as he did, he looked at his phone that Nightingale had handed him which was able to connect to the Bird-Cage's main computer. To his surprise, it informed him on a possible breach to his firewall. "Already? Wow...someone must be quite the tech-wiz." Jaden smirked, as he decided to return the favor and breach the supposed "Hacker's" own firewall. He chuckled as he typed the message up just to see how the "Hacker" would react: Impressive skills. Not many people are able to breach this firewall. Kudos to you, but bring your "A" Game to try and break into this firewall. Jaden He smirked as he placed his phone back in his pocket and found his dorm room. Upon entering, he was surprised on how it looked. Shelves full of old medieval stories, a cork board complete with a nice amount of thumb tacks (for what aspiring detective doesn't have something like this), and even a nice high-tech database system...a lot similar to the one that Jackdaw used. Heh, gotta love boss man for helping design the rooms. he thought as he got acquainted with his room, before exiting it as quickly as he entered it. Jaden walked down the halls back to the room he originally met the others in, only to find his way to the Command Room. However, one thing had him puzzled. The woman with the sniper-rifle, Caitlyn. They exchanged pleasantries somewhat, but without him really telling her his last name...she automatically knew something about him. She made sure to stay beside me when Sarge spoke. Perhaps she's figured out I'm Ban Kudo's son. Would be one of the only explanations...
Cherz
Caitlyn stood there, uninterested in what Sarge had to say. She had half a mind to spit back at him, but she didn't want his lecture to last anymore than it had to. She could have lived without a crazy military sergeant spitting all over here. She knew why he was needed, but she was still disappointing it was someone in the military. She has nothing against people in the military, but this guy met the stereotype. She expected training to be grueling. Nevertheless, she endured the lecture and was glad when it finally ended. Caitlyn was about to speak to Jaden, but he walked off to god knows where. She rolled her eyes a bit, but went to her room to see the layout. She walked down the halls, making sure to stay ahead of the other girls. It was quiet ironic that the three people she could tell she wouldn't like were all female. If anyone were to approach her, she would make it a habit to stay ahead of them. If !nk, Marionette, or Adrienne were to try and speak to her, she would simply raise her hand, as if saying 'Talk to the hand.' Finding her room, she entered to it, and was glad to see everything she would ever need there. In the corner, there was a smaller lab, ideal for mixing metals. By it was a large furnace. She would need it to melt down the metals she uses. Her room seemed more adjusted to taking care of her precious Long-shot. She had cleaning supplies, tools, benches and whatnot. The only luxury in there for her was a bed, and a dresser. However, on top of said dresser was another work bench for her ever so delicate rifle. Everything in the room was neat and organized, so everything was easy to find. This room was perfect for her. It even had a hat rack! Caitlyn emerged from her room a few minutes later after familiarizing herself with the room. Caitlyn had exchanged a few pleasantries with Jaden, but she wished to speak with him more. Oliver also made a place on her list, right next to Denila. However, both those people were lower on her priorities. Despite the fact that three people she had seen were on her avoid list, sooner or later she would have to converse with them. Caitlyn decided it was just best to cross that bridge when she got there. Caitlyn returned to the initial room in where everyone was gathered. She scanned around before finding Jaden again. She made her way there. Her rifle was over her shoulder again, but she had taken a few moments to polish it. It now had a shiny black glow to it. "Hello again." She said, thinking of what to say next. She figured she would find out how he got here, as he was now on her team. "I would like to inquire, what are the skills you have acquired in order for the league to scout you?" She asked, holding off on asking if he was related in any way to Ban Kudo. She didn't have enough evidence, other than visual similarities to draw that conclusion. She certainly had no intention of embarrassing herself either.
Ren✧
Sin lounged around after Sarge's little speech. In all honesty, the man slightly scared her. She wasn't about to pretend otherwise...err, well actually she was, outwardly anyway. She wasn't about to look shaken up on the first day. Especially with people like Caitlyn and Denila around, she doubted that they would ever let it go. So instead, she just put on a respectfully blank face and turned to the girl that had fallen in beside her. Her name was Adrienne, if she remembered correctly. "So, uh, my name's Sin." She offered, trying to be social. She gestured for the two to walk to into Ops together and find their rooms. Actively seeking friends wasn't Sin's strong suit, but she figured her time here would be miserable if she didn't at least try. Similarly, she didn't want anyone to feel ostracized. Turning, she gestured to the puppet-like girl and even Denila to join them. Whether they did or not was their own choice, but she wasn't going to purposely exclude them. Sin tried to make small talk, giving compliments on clothing style and hair, even if she didn't quite believe what she was saying. Taking a moment to check out her room, she let an unplanned smile overtake her lips. The interior was painted a dark color, not quite black, but a dark grey. The same color that the old chalk boards were made out of. And as Sin surveyed the room she actually saw different pieces of chalk lined up on one side. The walls were made for her to draw on. She was inwardly ecstatic about the idea and had she not been making an attempt to make friends, she would have dropped everything to start working on it. Alas, she was on a time crunch, so she took a few more minutes to drink in the rest of her room. There was an impressive set up in one corner with a canvas and varies paints and brushes, and a desk in other, equipped with several sketch books, drawing guides, and pencils. The bed was pushed to one side and was turned to view the wall directly opposite of her. As she surveyed that wall, she realized it looked different from the rest. As she took a step inside, she noticed a switch and promptly pressed it. As she did so, the blacked out wall in front of her slowly faded to reveal the ocean. The entire wall was a window and judging by the surplus of controls would act as a television as well. She squealed, internally of course, at the prospect. She had never had so many commodities. There were two other doors in the room. She would suspect that one would lead to a private bath and the other to a closet. She made a note to check those out later. Pressing the switch again, she left the darkened room to reacquaint herself with the rest of the girls. Caitlyn had sped off, hot on the heels of the kid she had heard introduce himself as Jaden. That was okay, if there was anyone here that she really disliked, it was her. Still, if the others were already headed for the Command Room, she wondered if she might do the same. They still had loads of time before they needed to be there, but she had a feeling that this Sarge character had a thing for being early.
StealthyTyranitar
Adrienne listened over the shoulder of the girl she remembered as Sin during the sergeant's speech after she helped Adrienne up, though to her it seemed like more of a continuous shout. Adrienne grinned when he stressed the ban on romantic relationships. "Good luck with that." she thought to herself, smiling at a blond boy across the room. "He's cute." As they walked through the halls, Adrienne walked and talked with Sin, though the conversation was a little awkward. When they arrived at their rooms, she found that they were adjacent to each other."All right, I'll see you soon!" Adrienne said, before opening her door. When the doors slid open, Adrienne's jaw dropped. The room was exctly the same as her room at the tower, only with a few minor improvements. For one, there was a humongous window on one side of her room, showcasing the stunning waters of the ocean in front of Ops. Another improvement was a pair of elevator-like doors next to the bathroom doors. "I'll save those for later." She said to herself, before approaching her dresser. On top, she found a box, with a note attached to it. Found some things while clearing your room. -G. it read. Adrienne set the note aside, opening the box. It's contents brought her to tears. One was a letter, covered with dried splotches of water. She already knew its contents: An apology, signed: Stay beautiful, Sabrina. A few new splotches landed on the paper, and Adrienne folded it up, and kissed it. It was one of the reasons she was here, so that her sister's fighting didn't go to waste. The other item she did not recognize. It was a silver necklace with a medium-sized locket looped onto it. When she opened the locket, she saw a picture of 4 happy strangers, at least they could have been. In between a beautiful red-headed woman and a handsome man with black hair and a goofy grin sat a smiling girl, no more than 3 years old, with her Mommy's hair and her Daddy's eyes. The slightly older girl grasping her father tightly, beaming up at him, was her sisters negative. She had short black hair and her mother's striking green eyes. Adrienne remembered the day that the photo was taken. It was the same day that she had convinced her parents to let her keep the kitten she had just found. She named it Mimsy. It was the last time she had remembered being as happy as she was. It was also the last time that her sister was legitimately happy, with a true smile on her face. She clasped the necklace around her neck, and started changing into fresh clothes. She realized she had left the door open, but she didn't care. She pulled on a shirt that read "Power to the Local Dreamer" with a symbol that looked like this in the center: l-/. She wiggled on some jean shorts with the pockets hanging out from under the leg, and grabbed a cherry lollipop from top drawer where she knew she would find some. She popped it in her mouth, letting the tangy sweetness rolling over her tongue for just a moment. She pulled on some combat boots, and caught up with the Sin girl a little ways ahead of her. "Hey, how are you?" She asked, popping the lollipop back in her mouth after the question.
Love of Ghibli
The big person with the loud military sounding powers was all up in V's place. What happened next was some rundown of the new groups situation. Once this man now known as Sarge finished his rant or rundown V was pretty much trying to figure out his next option. Should he go to his room or should he try to go and mingle with other people. So many options (all two of them) he was pretty much bouncing off the walls again while he couldn't make up his mind. Eventually he decided that the best thing to do was to go into his own customized room. What would a customized room for him look like though. As his blatant appearance would suggest he doesn't have much a sense of self. As he followed the self guided light show to his own room he was really paying attention to the halls. OMG THERE WERE HALLS! Which would be his gitty facial expression which one wouldn't really notice with all of the bandages. He actually made it to his room and he was taken by surprise. There was wall to wall V for Vendetta paraphernalia. This was so awesome. This time he literally found himself bouncing of the wall. He had never been so happy in his life. He probably could have actually died from the excitement when it came to these decorations. Of course he calmed himself down slightly because he did have an important ritual he had to do. V surrounded himself with chains and then he started to actually concentrate on the Hellfire that is his ability. The chains coiled around V to the point that they made true spire. Then those chains were covered in flames. While nothing was actually being burned or emitted heat there was a distinct feel of malice and suffering that permeated from his room and began to linger down the hallway. Granted V didn't feel any of these things. If anything he was still in pure elation with this new adventure. This ritual here was just part of his upbringing. After of a couple of seconds of this ritual the flames subsided and the ominous feelings that came from his room subsided. In truth, all V did was give his family back home his new address. In the virtually unlikely event that he would need there help they are only a mental phone call away. With that done V figured that he would venture out and go exploring. He had a good 50 minutes to kill and this place looked super awesome so it had to be worth exploring. He appeared to be floating down the halls with his chains as if he was haunting the Ops. Though in truth he couldn't keep his head from looking at all the shiny doodads and thingamagigs that made him feel like he was in some futuristic sci-fi movie. Though while he was discovering new fancy buttons he dare not press he did give extra thought to something. The big Sarge man stated that each of the newbs would get training specific to their powers. Of course the only people who truly knew about his powers were the elders in his family so could they have been consulted on this. V shuttered with even more excitement. All these possibilities and all of this new adventure in store for him.
Hälō
"Would you like me to begin searching for flaws in his new defense?” Oliver lifted his left hand behind his head to gently ruffle his soft blond hair. “Don’t bother, just push a message through.” Oliver's tone held small traces of excitement. He waited a moment for Margret to work her magic, before raising his hand to the touchscreen of the R.C.M. His fingers danced across the screen with purpose, and within seconds this Jaden fellow would receive a message similar to his own. Well that was fast. I guess we can say I’m IT then? I don’t think I need to ask where you got your tech from… Needless to say I’ll be expecting a lot from you, bird boy. Oliver Cracking a half smile, Oliver proceeded to find his room. Once inside, he instantly noted that the room had been heavily customized for his needs. The walls of the room were all painted a deep royal blue, sparring one which seemed to be formed from two metallic elevator doors. "Probably leads to the buildings workshop..." Oliver mumbled to himself as he made his way towards the center of the room. There, stood the all too familiar K.A.I.S.E.R Unit, carefully suspended by some kind of gravity field. Four hologram panels floated freely around the suits display, but instantly snapped into formation as Oliver approached. With only a glance, the boy could tell that these would serve as his computers. "Not too shabby." He concluded, after lightly placing his hand on one of the panels, and quickly scrolling from the information on screen. Satisfied with his new living conditions, Oliver took a final glance at the Kaiser unit before making his way back into the hall. He still had quite a bit of time before he had to meet up with the others, but figured it would be wise to make his way to the command room early. As Oliver navigated the pristine hallways of his new home, he noticed one of his teammates floating a bit farther ahead. From what Oliver could tell, the man was completely covered in bandages , and was also one of the few members who he was unable to get a name for. Though slightly intimidated, the boy figured that he would have to interact with this man eventually, and that he'd rather start off on friendly terms. Taking a deep breath, Oliver raised his hand in greeting, as he attempted to start up conversation with the bandaged man as casually as possible. "Yo, you heading to the command room?" Super Chaos Sonic
Jaden stopped mid-thought and walk as he turned to see who called. Speak of the devil... "Hello again. I would like to inquire, what are the skills you have acquired in order for the league to scout you?" "My skills? Well...miss Caitlyn, are being handy with the blade...in more ways than one, but I'll keep it a surprise." Jaden said as he smirked a bit, as he was referring about his persona. "Able to control the element of light with these gloves made by the Justice League. Also had training from a duo of heroes...which also helped me with my skills and deduction methods." he said with a smile. "And by the way...miss Caitlyn...quit beating around the bush instead of asking me that one question you have." Young Kudo could only look at Caitlyn's face with a smile as he chuckled. "The fact that you haven't asked it yet is clear on your face." He awaited for the young woman's response when his cellphone went off. And to his surprise...it was the "Hacker" again. Another smirk was on his face as he saw the message that was sent: Well that was fast. I guess we can say I’m IT then? I don’t think I need to ask where you got your tech… Needless to say, I’ll be expecting a lot from you, bird boy. Oliver Well...now I know the guy's name. And the fact that he's already figured out where I got the high security firewall program from on my tech is even more impressive. Jaden smirked as he sent another message back: Ditto with you, "Hacker". Jaden He smiled as he tossed his phone back into his pocket, as he returned his attention to Caitlyn. Cherz
Caitlyn found his charisma quite charming. She figured he could wield his blade, but his gloves intrigued her. Being able to bend light was an interesting idea in concept, but she wanted to see more. She resisted the urge to scoff every time hd regarded her as misdeeds. She thought It was a bit overboard. However, she continued to listen to the man speak. When he added his tidbit on perception, she again thought about the similarities. However, what piqued her interested was when he asked her to draw the conclusion. "I'm no professional detective, but it seems you just might be. Or, the descendent of one at least. Ill humor you though. Are you related to one of my role models, and famous detective, Ban Kudo?" Caitlyn smirked, trying to make her question sarcastic. She noticed him pull out his cellphone, a luxury she never wanted or cared for. She shrugged it off, but watched as he made an amused facial expression. Honestly, she found it kind of cute. Before he turned his attention back to her, she looked around the room. Seeing no one of importance, she simply turned back to him. He had already shared his little bit of talents, so he saw it fit she shared hers. "As you could have guessed, my talent lies in my aim. My rifle here is a custom weapon, designed by my feather and tailored to my needs." She stated, flipping a switch on it. The gun began extending, and another scope piped up. A red light came from her gun, lining a shot onto the wall. It took about 2 seconds to display, but after it happened she flicked it off. After another two seconds, the gun returned to average. The barrel retracted, and the scope went down.
D.A._Sakuyamon
Pissed, Denila hardly listened as the man spoke. It was just some drivel about not having sex or whatever. As if she was interested in any of the guys here anyways. She made a note to remember what to call him though when he mentioned it. She was still pissed when he left them to mingle. She didn't know anything about military time but it wasn't hard to work out that they had less then an hour to do so. She wasn't the first girl to head towards the right wing and made a note of the girl with the rifle as she braved on ahead as one would say. Once she got to her room, she was rather surprised and ecstatic to find it fit her tastes. Guess the sarge wasn't lying, vaguely remembering him say they were modeled to fit the person. The room wasn't to large, she figured she could feel everything within it if she needed to. That was a passing thought as she walked towards the fully functional garden of roses. "Well" she thought "this is a nice touch". She walked on towards a small science lab making note to examine it later. Reaching the end of the left side of the room, there stood a book shelf that reached the ceiling filled with a variety of books. Some were novels about girls falling in love with vampires as a major plot point. Those were going straight to the trash later. Other books were filled with knowledge about chemistry, physics, microbiology, and other fields of science. Now these books were the kind of thing she liked. Anyways, she decided to move to the right side of the room. Not much was on this side, just the typical stuff you would see in any ordinary bedroom. You know, a bed, some drawers filled with purple clothing, a night stand. Denila noticed a piece of paper on one of the dressers. Picking it up, she quickly read it. Denila, welcome to your no longer "normal" home. You can be as almighty as you want in this room but remember once you go outside and work with your team. You must not think your the big shot. You help your team as best as you possibly can and never think of yourself. Otherwise, you'll be kicked from the program and sent back to your "normal" home. Got that?, Palm Denila's eyes twitched and then were enveloped in a glowing blue light. She was absolutely pissed, so much so that she had instinctively activated her ability. She could no longer read the letter as all matter in the room appeared as white wire frames surrounded in blue light from her point of view. Her mouth curled up into a snarl and she started to bend the walls. Creaking of metal could be heard throughout the base. The letter fell from her hands and then stopped in mid air. She lifted it up to eye level and crushed it, ripped it, stretched it, until it could hardly even be recognized as paper all the while still damaging the walls. "That man. He dares using that word to refer to me. Didn't he learn his lesson the last time. I'll have to........" With a jolt, Denila stopped. This was beneath her she thought. Slowing her breath, and returning to her normal sight she thought, "I'm superior. Thoughts such as that are beneath me. Killing is nothing more then a took for the inferior." With that she regained her composure. Much of the room was undamaged, though the walls were another story. In that short amount of time she had actually managed to twist the metal of the door like a corkscrew. There were dents all across the walls and she figured her little tantrum hadn't gone unnoticed what with all the noise. She'd have to fix it later, in the meantime she decided to go the command room. With the help of the Information Panels, she found her way relatively quickly. Four others besides her had gotten here already, the girl with the rifle next to some hot shot guy with a sword and odd gauntlets, and a red head like herself next to some girl with a bunch of tattoos. She didn't want to mingle so she decided to lean against a wall. If someone wanted to talk to her, they were free to try. She wondered who would be the one to figure out it was her who had just made all the noise.
Love of Ghibli
V looked stared at the special wall and then it started to talk to him. "Yo, you heading to the command room?" the magic walls asked V a question. AWESOME!! All of this was so much to take in. Of course he looked around to make sure that he was alone so could once again jump off the walls. It was then that he noticed this Oliver fellow. To be quite honest V forgot the majority of his teammates when he entered his room. The combination of all that V for Vendetta parafanalia and his little ritual there he pretty much lost focus of the awesome eight excluding a certain few. After a few seconds of blank staring V realized that this was one of the Excellent Eight! Which means that the walls weren't magic...boo. But it was a chance for him to make a new friend! YAY. So he wondered what to do. He doesn't use words, but not saying anything could be offensive. Also since he actually is capable of speaking his family never bothered to teach him the importance of sign language. After that he decided that there was something special he could do...though it would definitely come across weird. He extended his chains to a point where they looked like they encaged him. Of course it may have come across as some weird attack but in fact the chains actually made a board for him to "write" with. It was then that Hellfire started to appear and form letters along the chain links. "HELLO....YES." V ended with a self-congratulatory nod showing he felt he came up with a rather good way to deal with the situation. Just for good measure he started to wave this Oliver lad. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Mary stepped back into her room, looking around at its empty contents. Each of the rooms was adorned with various features to accommodate for whoever may be staying in it, but Mary had requested for hers to be empty. Admittedly, the dull grey walls matched her favorite color, so she found it mildly pleasing, but that was nothing more than the primer that could be found underneath the paint in every one of the teens' rooms. The only real feature was a dresser in the corner, painted a slightly darker grey than the walls. On it, however, was a complex lattice of thin, blue lines, bearing a resemblance to Mary's own Meta-Threads. The dresser also included an attached mirror above, and as Mary stood in front of it, inspecting her hair, her gaze paused on her eyepatch. If only for a moment, her expression contorted into one of rage. Some would find it funny that in her brief fight, Mary lost the very same eye that her attacker had advanced, but she was not a fan of comedy. Taking a deep breath, she regained her placed demeanor, and stepped back out of her room. Turning and looking down the hall, she saw a few of her now-teammates, the punk-girl and the one with tattoos, but did not make an effort to catch up with them. Perhaps she will become acquainted with the others later. Or not. Either way was fine for her. Turning to the other direction, she saw Oliver, as well as some kid who looked like the invisible man. Donning a smile, she walked toward them, waving her hand and greeting them. "Oli-" she paused as the name left a sour taste on her palette. "Strider! Remember me?" Hälō
Oliver shifted uncomfortably as him and V exchanged blank stares. He opened his mouth to break the silence but V acted first; extending a mass of chains in what appeared to be preparation for some sort of attack. Having already been slightly weary of V, Oliver’s hand instantly brought itself to one of the guns that he kept hidden in the holster behind his back, his tone becoming ice cold. “You really don’t wana do that…” Giving the bandaged kid a moment to back down, Oliver realized that the chains had extended to create a makeshift board, and that the words "HELLO....YES." had begun to form from a black flame. Blinking for a moment, Oliver’s eyes lit up in understanding. This must have been this kids way of communicating. Amused, and slightly embarrassed at his own jumpiness, Oliver attempted to retake his friendly posture. “Umm, I’m Oliver.” He slowly extended his hand to the cloaked figure, offering a smile as he waited for new words to appear on the board. As Oliver continued his attempt to socialize with his eccentric new acquaintance, another voice called him from down the hall. "Strider! Remember me?" Immediately turning to see who could possibly have knew him by his last name, Oliver’s eyes were met with an oddly familiar figure. That’s Mary Stratford, sir. Master Steven had often collaborated with her father in the past; you may recall the brief time we spent in their home to work on project 19048. Margret's voice chimed in from Oliver's R.C.M“Actually… yea.” It all came back to him; images of a young Mary observing the Striders and her father from a far, as they worked on a project that involved the Meta-gene. The exact details of their work were hazy, but Oliver could distinctly remember that Mr. Stratford was a great man, and that him and his father were extremely saddened when they received word of his death. Oliver returned her smile before looking her up and down, taking extra care not let his gaze linger on her single imperfection. "I never would've imagined I'd meet you here, Mary." Super Chaos Sonic
"I'm no professional detective, but it seems you just might be. Or, the descendent of one at least. Ill humor you though. Are you related to one of my role models, and famous detective, Ban Kudo?" There it was. Jaden figured this was Caitlynn's question, mainly with how she was acting when she studied her face at the beginning. "May not be professional...but you hit the nail on the head. Son actually...Jaden Kudo." he said simply as he held out his hand with a smile. "A pleasure to meet one of my dad's many fans." He had hoped to get away from his father's shadow, but then again, he always was keeping contact with him...so he was never out of Ban's shadow. Now it would be even worse with a fan of his father being around him on this team. However, seeing how Caitlynn was...she may prove to let her professionalism remain with freaking out about who he was later...at least...he hoped. Ren✧
Sin offered Adrienne a small smile. It seemed that most everyone else had already moved on. She had hoped to at least interact with a few of the others, but she guessed that if she only made one friend on her first day, well that wasn't so bad. Of course, she hadn't seen one of the other recruits since they had finished with Sarge. She racked her brain for his name, but couldn't quite come up with one. As she did so, there was an intense creaking sound of that permeated the hallway of the girls' dormitory. It sounded like metal gears clashing against one another. Sin covered her ears, immediately trying to find the source. A few moments later, Denila walked out of her room. The wall adjoining to the hallway seemed to be a little more concave than the others. "Alrighty then." She muttered. "Anyway," She continued, directing her attention to Adrienne. "you wanna see if we can find that guy with the orangish skin?" She immediately set off to find him, knowing that she would need a friend amongst the boys if she were to gain a standing amongst the team.
