[Kaijudo] Warbringer Poseidon

Recommended Posts

For some bizzare reason, Wotc are still not releasing the game in Europe.

My thoughts exactly. I wanted to buy several singles and boosters and start this game, as it looks awesome, but when I checked ebay and the official site, I saw that it's American only. I still can buy Duel Masters sealed booster boxes, but cannot buy any Kaijudo cards here? I'm sad ;_;

The game looks awesome, and the rules are really well-thought, and the card redesigns are also really nice compared to how DM had some bad concepts and sets.

For the card itself: it's a must in Wild Veggie / Corrupted variants, and it should be the first card you play.

My only theory is they're being very, very cautious(or they want to set it up even more), but still, I think it's unfair for you guys.

I heard something about that they want to promote the card game first with the show (which is, in my opinion, really, really weak) and then they want to release the card game in Europe.

I sent them a message, I hope they will answer for my question soon.

Thing is, the show isn't getting a season 3. It could return the way Avatar did but idk, So the show is currently out of the question. I can understand why they went the route they did and not have the card game in the show though.

I still can understand, but a show similar to the CF:V's first season (a show about usual people enjoying their card game and facing usual day problems) could have been really awesome and still something unique compared to anime like Yu-Gi-Oh!. The problem is, however, that they still failed to realize at WotC that DM failed because of the really poor localization of the anime, which was awesome originally, but their over the top jokes and additional scenes ruined it totally.

If the game fails (again), it will have two reasons: the bad show, and the lack of European localization of the game. There is still room for a new game, especially 'cause people are getting tired of the current games. MtG is always there, but it loses/gains fans, ALWAYS; Pokémon is really underrated and unknown here, maybe 'cause its theme; CF:V is actually too luck-sack game for some people's taste; Yu-Gi-Oh! is getting unpopular day by day - Lots of people are actually waiting for a new game and they'd even play Kaijudo, but as they cannot buy it from a local store, they won't.

While I don't think the show is that bad, Kaijudo doesn't even have a show anymore.

Wizards has yet to explain why the game isn't over there yet though. Really, I think they're just being very cautious at the moment. That's my only guess.

I don't think Kaijudo is doing bad in America but it needs more promotion and yes, hopefully you guys get it eventually.

It's not bad, I agree, but it's definitely not the show CCG players would watch. It's something they create in order to promote their stuff, to persuade children to play their game.

I'm curious about the answer, especially if I'm correct, the game does really well in the United States, doesn't it?

Is it in the Top 5 played TCGs? I don't know what games are played in the US, as in Europe, the priorities are really different. Magic is obviously the number one here, and most people are playing it. The following formats are popular here: Standard, Modern and Commander, and sometimes Draft. After that comes Cardfight Vanguard. A lots of people stopped playing Yu-Gi-Oh! a long time ago and the popularity just decreases of that game day by day. Pokémon is also not as popular as it's played only by the hardcore fans of the game and/or series. It is really obscure in my country, to be honest.

I don't think so, sadly. It's not at that level yet. I can't find anything on how it's doing this year though. The most recent one I found was: http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/28121.html

My Little Pony?! REALLY?! What the ****????

Well, at least I don't consider Heroclix as a TCG, even thought it's a nice game, it's totally different in my opinion. It's more like Miniatures than a card game. These are actually really interesting statistics. Pokemon is so popular there, but as I heard, it has only one format... which is sad.
