Tentacruel
This is way overly optimistic and isn't actually gonna happen, but we can dream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlTA3rnpgzU
Rodrigo
It CAN happen, but it'll take at least a century for it to be a common occurence.

.Rai
I believe they're being Kickstartered at the moment. Totally unaware of what either video posted here talks about since I can't be bothered to watch them.Great idea, but obviously won't be implemented en masse for absolutely ages, if ever. In the foreseeable future, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them in recreational areas though. There are, for example, now some schools in England that have paved their hallways with pressure panels (i.e. they're producing energy from students constantly walking over them). Zauls
It would be interesting to work out how much of the planet's resources we would have to use to actually create enough of those solar panels to pave all of the world's roads in them. Probably more than we can afford. Depending on what they are made of/how they are made, they could actually cause significant environmental damage in production. Also, nobody really has the incentive to implement these on a large enough scale for it to ever happen.
