Don Thousand Monster C

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) when a "Don Thousand/Monster B" you control is destroyed, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects, also it cannot attack. During your opponent's End Phase, if your opponent did not declare an attack against this card this turn, your opponent loses the Duel.

I'm confused as to why they doubled the base ATK of the Tokens since they've kept the Monsters consistent.

Also, this makes Don Thousand's Duel a giant advertisement for this. System, and sealed the odds of gettng most of his stuff. Still calling that OCG Gates are combined.

To make it easier for their effects to go off maybe?  I don't see 1000 ATK bodies getting that effect off reliably unless they cannot be destroyed by battle (which was the other alternative).

Effectively, Boss Duels are like the Challenge Decks from the Theros block in MtG. Only that instead of shuffling up, the Boss gets a pre-determined hand and Deck order. Those are determined where the cards' Attribute will be.

Both the cards we're looking at are in the Boss's opening hand. Same goes for the dreaded Don Thousand Monster C that was explored in the status bar.

These are far more intriguing than the Pegasus cards we have.

I still theorize that the names and arts are placeholders just for the leaks, though.

Really looking forward to taking on Don Thousand, assuming this does actually get to the TCG. Even if it doesnt, maybe the duel sims (DN, Percy, Devpro) will get them and, for the automated systems, a 1 vs 3 mode.

Also Spell A (Numeron Network) has a "hidden effect":

Normal Effect
Up to twice per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by card effects.

Hidden Effect
During either player's turn, if you control no other cards: You can send 1 Spell/Trap Card from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard; as this card's effect resolution, follow the Spell/Trap Card card text.

Well since we're for sure never getting Numbers 1-5, no point in collecting Numbers anymore. Curious to see how 1000 will end up.

Never say never; they may still release the Fake Numbers as the "legit" Numbers 1 - 4, and Number 5 is still possible, especially since they haven't shown any signs of actually stopping with the Number releases.

I think this just lets them use the "real" Numbers 1-4 without actually printing them as such. That means they might print the "fake" Numbers 1-4 as the RL versions.

Which would be good.

With these Boss cards, are the card images just proxies and they'll be released with real art, or are these it?

Without actual artworks it won't be nearly as enjoyable. You'd have to keep looking at the tittle with memorized A- Z effects for each boss that are hard to distinguish otherwise, or you'd have to just read them again every time they are used. I think that if those are not proxy images, then this project is a bit half-assed. I can see those being the art of at least 1 of the cards though, but not all of them.

Pegasus needs more than 2 cards, though I doubt it'll get much stronger than that. I think the Pegasus challenge is gonna be more for the casual old school friends hanging around with 8 year old decks. It's a nice touch if they actually gave Toon World it's multiple page effects that were already built-in on the anime (or at least that's what one watching it gets the idea of them doing). I'll also gladly embrace Toon monsters potentially not being semi-nomis and being able to attack the turn they are used, plus some extra effect like Gemeni Elf's boss version, that iirc is no longer a random discard.

Btw, I wanna go against Dartz. They need to make boss cards for him. I've always wanted the Orichalcos anime cards. Not only are they no longer that broken, but sound fun to use. Plus, we could get some justice done to Shunoros.

Everything's fun and games until Divine Serpent attacks you....
